Well done, Mr Carson, just finished the third book of your David Wolf series and already sensing the first signs of "addiction" (just bought the fourth book). Well written in a crisp style, while the author takes just the right amount of time to describe the natural beauty of the scenic places the action is set in.

Interesting story with a well thought out plot. There are some moderate inaccuracies relating to law enforcement references (and I suspect military too), but once the storyline gets going it's hard to put the book down. I would love to be a proofreader for these books... there are a few errors (my favorite is "head-over-heals") and omitted words but the storyline is engaging enough to forgive!

Carson has good reason to continue the story of David Wolf, he's a strong central character worth following. The action-packed story zips along like a bullet train, with the characters and subplots growing in strength and detail. You'll make time to read this once you start.

Carson does understatement and guilt as good as anyone writing. The need to break the chains of childhood (and imperfect parenting) are balanced with the indelible lessons learned at the feet of our fathers. Once again relationship reigns supreme, whether for good or for evil. Another great read. Thanks, again.

David Wolf juggles two serious problems--his son's safety and an intricate mystery with roots in Afghanistan--and Carson's ability to keep both on track and interwoven is a real treat. Wolf is ex-special forces. Wolf is a dedicated parent. Put those two things together with people trying to kill his son and you get a tense, dynamite read. Needless to say, I'm hooked on this series.

Full of action and suspense, a great story that had me guessing until the end. A very good book I think you'll enjoy whether you are reading the books in order or starting with this one. I'm quite sure you'll enjoy it too! It's just past 4:00 am, I just couldn't put the book down, had to finish it! I should probably wait until tomorrow to start the next book in the series...or maybe not!!!

This book is very well written and edited. The story is compelling and the characters are real; the situations too. The local is interesting and there is plenty of action and tension. If you like murder mysteries with some adventure, you can't go wrong buying this book. I will read more from this author.

I am enjoying this series very much. I will read whatever this author writes. Action, plot twists and characters that are well developed. I suggest reading this series in order, just because time wise they make more sense, but if you don't they still have plenty of stand alone merit.

Enjoyable mystery featuring Sheriff David Wolf. Believable characters, entertaining dialogue and story line.
It would be great to purchase these e-stories in a sequential bundle.
I may re-read this story and always look forward to other works by this author.

While this story had a few editing errors, it was so well written - with an excellent plot, well defined, complex characters, and great pacing - that I was willing to overlook the occasional comma splice and incorrect verbiage. A fun, fast read with just the right amount of suspense, action, and even a little love interest to spice things up. This was my first David Wolf book but I will be reading more.

Another great book in the Jeff Carson (David Wolf Series). I highly recommend starting with book one "Foreign Deceit" and reading each book in series. They are a great story and great reads--every one.

Jc has written another modern western about the perils of violating the law even when you are a Sheriff. The storyline jumps all over the place and becomes clear in the last two chapters. This is an excellent read for the genre.....ER

This book is a very good murder mystery. Jeff Carson has done a great job of writing . He has done as well as some of the better known murder mystery writers. It was not only a mystery, but a story of a father's love for his son. Read it, you will like it.

This story was woven expertly so that my attention never flagged. The suspense of knowing killers were chasing Wolf and his young son was overwhelming. From the first rifle shot in the distance to the final chase, I was glued to my Kindle. I highly recommend this great mystery novel.
