When Brenna was young she was attacked by a wolf. A scar mars her neck and the damage leaves her unable to speak. Years later, her stepfather deems her "ugly" and sells her to a group of warriors.

"Who were these men, these great warriors who had bought and paid for me? The arms around my body were strong and solid, inescapable, but the gold eyes looking down on me were kind. The warrior ran his thumb across the pad of my lips, and his fingers were gentle for such a large, violent looking warrior." This man is Daegan.

"As big as the warriors were, the blond was one of the largest. He walked lightly, muscles bulging. Long locks of blond hair brushed his broad shoulders. His face was raw boned and half covered in a beard. The defining feature his great gold eyebrows over those amazing eyes." This man is Samuel.

Both men swore they would never hurt her. On a pelt covered dais in a large cavern, Brenna is cherished and given pleasure over and over again. She truly sees that they both care for her. "But when they touched me they were gentle. A hand brushed back my hair, then stroked my jaw. One steadied me from behind as the other cupped my head and turned my head this way and that. The one behind me gathered my hair behind me. I held my breath as the two massive warriors handled me."

Brenna witnesses their beast side as they have changed to their wolf form. She is fearful that they may hurt her. She realizes that these Berserker wolves saved her from her abusive stepfather. And she in turn saved them. They consulted a witch to find the perfect woman for them. Brenna calms the wolf in them. "The beast lives inside us, and it can be sated. Somehow you soothe the wolf."

This short novelette encompasses more than some full length novels. Ms. Savino describes in detail the scenery, the events and the emotions. She truly knows how to engage the reader by seemingly choosing every word so the reader experiences a short movie unfolding before their eyes.

I also have read the books in her series Rocky Mountain Bride. As a reader, I wouldn't necessarily pick up a Western book or a shape shifter novel. For me, Ms. Savino can write in any genre. I fall in love with her characters and the drama that unfolds in her stories. That is the sign of a truly gifted author when she can write stories that are so heartfelt that the reader wants to read more of her books.

Wow, wow, wow!!!! Loved this book - love the series!!! The Berserkers are a cursed band of warriors who need mates with some magic to save them and keep the warriors' dark sides at bay. Although the core of each book is similar the circumstances surrounding the story line are different. I ended each book wondering how Ms Savino could top that story. However, with each subsequent book it just gets better. The story is an ongoing series, and yes, it could read as a standalone, but because of it in a continuation of the entire saga, would be best to be read in written order. Anxiously awaiting the next one :-)

Brenna was attacked by a wild dog while young and has scars and a damaged voice to show for it. Her step father makes inappropriate advances, and then sells her to some brutal men once her mother has passed away. These brutal men treat her with kindness, call her beautiful and two of them claim her as theirs.

Steamy, captivating read that will melt your heart and inflame your senses!!

Brenna has had a rough upbringing. Now living with her evil stepfather who sells her to a band of warriors, she can only wonder what will become of her. The last thing she expected was to be claimed by two warriors of the Berserker clan, Daegan and Samuel. Even though she is kept in captivity, they scent immediately that she is their mate. They are primal in their behavior, yet gentle with Brenna. Though this is a quick read, it is fascinating and steamy, and drew me right in. I look forward to reading more about the Berserkers.

This was a different take on shifter romance, and it was so good! I'm not a big fan of paranormal, or shifters, there's only a couple authors I'll read, but Lee Savino has become one of my favorites!!

This was a really hot, sexy story, but it was really sweet in parts too. This poor girl had not had a happy past, but her 2 new mates are determined to give her a happy future!
I loved this, it had it all. A sweet storyline, some sexy spankings, alot of hot sexy fun time! I'll be reading all her Berserker books!

This story grabbed me from the first word and didn't let me go until the end. I could feel the desperation of the young girl who had lived through the attack by the animal who took her voice, then left a physical scar that the children of the village picked on her as she grew up, then the man who is supposed to protect you from harm attacks her and takes from her what was hers alone to give. She fought him at every turn worried that he would try to kill her. Instead he sells her to the Bersekers. She is taken far from her home by large men that she can not communicate with and has to learn to accept a very different life from the one she knew. Read Sold to the Berserkers: A Menage Shifter Romance to find out how it ends. Are you brave enough to find out?

This is an amazing start to the berserkers trilogy. These super sexy shifters take care of their mate in all of the ways! The characters are well delveloped and likeable! The story is gripping and will keep you turning pages. This story is amazingly creative and well written! I can't say enough good things about this book, this series, and the incredibly talented author Lee Savino!

Great book! Strong, sexy, dominant alphas at their best! Brenna may have been sold to them by her awful father, but the man did her the greatest favor of all times! These two hot alpha brothers coddle her, protect her, hand feed her!, wait on her. She is spoiled rotten by them and loves it. Great characters, good story line, hot sex, romance (to a certain degree), all around good book.

"Sold to the Berserkers" was a wonderful little read and one I really enjoyed. Berserkers? "check"
Shifters? "yesss" Menage? "pant" Sold into captivity? "squee" Although the story could have been so much richer had the author found a way for Brenna to communicate with her warriors, this little gem had plenty to make THIS girl happy and them some. I can't wait to see where Ms. Savino takes the story from here as there are plenty of berserkers and sisters left. "Check, pant, yesss, squee"!!

Amazing story. So different than anything I have read. The berserkers have their own terrible history which they keep hidden, until they meet the one woman that may calm their beasts. Their beasts are not what I originally thought, but better. Brenna is like an outcast of her people. She was attacked by a wolf when she was little which left her scarred and unable to speak. Her stepfather has sold her. Now her new life begins. She must stay alive and yet find a way to protect her sisters from the real monster, her stepfather. But how can she communicate? Her two berserkers care for her and need her. Can she really find a future with them. Cant wait to read the follow up to this story.

Brenna was attacked as a child by wolves. Because of that, she is unable to speak. Her stepfather hates her and sells her to Daegan and Samuel. They buy her because a witch foretold that she would save them. This is a quick book that sets up the series well. I really liked reading about the punishments that Brenna receives.

Sold to the Berserkers is a nice exciting read if you want a short and steamy little interlude in the middle of a busy day. I love shifter stories, and while this one wasn't absolutely phenomenal, it does the job. For those of you who want deeper and more complex characters and plot, you may want to look elsewhere. The writing is quite immature and repetitive. For example, I lost count of how many times a version of "Don't worry, lass, we won't hurt you" and "The witch was right" popped up. We get it already, let's move on with the story. I definitely had to ignore that and the typos as I was reading, or I would have quit. Overall, this first book is worth a read if you're not too picky about the points I made above, but I'm still on the fence about whether I will continue the series.

Two warriors of old bought Brenna from her abusive stepfather. She is meant to soothe their berserker rage. She contemplates escape but their protectiveness keeps her isolated. Their passion keeps her abed. Relatively good story but needs better editing. Going to pass on remainder of series though unless bundled.

This was a different story that I read. Although the characters were interesting and the story line was good....it was definitely different. Interesting connection between her scars and her "New" living situation. The men were from a different time and because she couldn't speak it made it harder to communicate. But it was good.

Interesting premise, poor execution. Barely a plot with 90% of the book consisting of explicit sex. Brenna is a mute who is sold by her stepfather to a couple of Beserkers as a sex slave. As soon as she gets to their home she is stripped and used for sex. No explaining from the Beserkers need for a mate to maintain their humanity, no romance. What she is told is that she is their property and as long as she behaves and does what they tell her they will protect and give her pleasure. In my eyes she is their captive and given no choice in her future no matter how gentle they are. A slave is a slave. She bargains her freedom for the safety of her younger sisters. Again, not a real healthy relationship. She is confined to a cave where she eats, sleeps, and is used for sex. Not a winning situation no matter how you look at it. I doubt if all the 4 and 5 star reviewers would like to find themselves in her place.

Ok, this had such great reviews and the premise sounded interesting so I read it. Gotta say, I'm not getting the great reviews. It was short. There was little world building so it basically went right into a story line that wasn't really explained or laid out well. As a result, I couldn't get into or feel much for the characters. To top it all off the "love" story part didn't work for me at all. The writer tried to make a love story out of sold person who was treated as a object. The two lead male characters constantly spoke and acted like she was a owned slave, even if they weren't necessarily cruel. The "forced" shaving and the ordered "cleaning" after certain intimate acts just didn't do anything for me and made relating to the characters and their story impossible, and I'm still unclear what exactly their story is supposed to be about.

The structure is choppy and superficial. The plot mostly revolved around sex with a touch of drama, which I don't care force just because I like having an emotional connection between the characters, not just a constant retelling with a bit more information added each time it's addressed.

The beginning had me very hopeful. We start out with an abusive stepfather and a mute daughter, and he plans on selling her to the nomadic westerners traveling through. They want her as a mate, but are abusive in their own way (or in the least controlling). She sets standards, but they know better what she likes and will do it anyway.

I cannot in good conscience say this is worth spending time on.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Young Brenna is the eldest daughter of four, with the proverbial Stepfather from Hell. Mauled by a wolf as a child, she was left scarred and voiceless. But helpless is not what Brenna does. She fights back against her abusive stepfather and defends her younger siblings as well. In revenge, he sells her to a band of meandering men. As the story unfolds, she learns the the men are not what she thought at first, that her captivity is not the dire fate she imagines, and that it may be possible for a scarred, voiceless young woman to live a life of trust, caring, and love. Author Lee Savino tells the tale from Brenna's naive and mistrustful point of view, making her thoughts and feelings readily accessible to the reader. This lessens the character development of the male protagonists, but we do come to understand, as we see them through Brenna's eyes, that they are worthy men in desperate straits, who need from her exactly what she needs from them: acceptance, protection, and love. Savino's writing becomes a bit repetitive at times, but in general she does a fine job making us understand characters who are mute and cannot say what they feel. On the whole this is a well-written paranormal romance with a bit of grim and a dash of raw to balance the sexy and tender, and a hint of a sequel to come. Very good reading!

This story was dull. Not bad, but nothing over the top nor anything you probably haven't already read in these types of stories. The fact that these novels can all be read as standalones simply highlights that there aren't any dramatic events that need to be covered before moving on to the next book.

The story does have a lot of sex as advertised, but that portion is not very memorable nor remarkable.

Was this review boring? Not really detailed? Welcome to this series.

Brenna was brutally attacked by a wolf many years ago that left her scarred and mute. Her step-father denigrates her and tries to have his way with her. He succeeds right up until the point where she fights him off and keeps him away from her. She also stands between him and her younger sisters. When her step-father gets tired of her, he decides that he's going to sell her to a group of warriors who have seen her and decided that they want her. He figures that the warriors will have their way with her and then discard her.

Samuel and Daegon, the leaders of the group of warriors, have different plans for Brenna. They have been searching for many years for her. A witch told them to look for a woman who was marked by a wolf and that she would help them control their beasts. That woman is Brenna.

This is a short, sexy read. Samuel and Daegon are pretty hot and they take good care of Brenna. Brenna is pretty accepting of her lot and doesn't fight them overly much. She knows that they own her and that she's technically their property. They keep telling her that she is theirs, but mostly I think they mean it in a whole you are my dearest love mine kind of way. I love the menage and the relationship that exists between the men as brothers and between each of them and Brenna. The sex is off-the-charts hot, I mean past panty-melting and into panty spontaneous combusting. I love this series, and this book is a great way to start it off.

Even though this was a short story, I found this to be very interesting read. With a very promising beginning of a great series. But I wanted and need more information and back story on Brenna attack and even Brenna herself. Was she attack by a shifter or a ordinary wolf?? Why was it that she couldn't communicate either by sign language or by writing her thoughts down?? How did she communicate with her family ?? Where was her mother when things were going down with her stepfather?? Overall enjoyable and entertaining read I would be definitely interested in seeing what else is in store for this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC I haven't been compensated in any way.

It wasn't badly written, but I truly hate stories like this where the "heroine" is just a thing to be used. If you prefer your female characters with some semblance of a spine or self-respect this is NOT a book you want to read.

When Brenna had been small, she was attacked by a wolf leaving large scars along her jaw and the side of her neck, taking her voice as well. Years later, the step father who hated her had taken her to the woods and tied her to a tree. He had sold her to a group of warriors who were fierce looking and smelled of blood.
"For hundreds of years, the Berserker warriors have fought and killed for kings. There is but one enemy they cannot defeat: the beast within."
Daegan was dark and had a mischievous glinting light in his eye where Samuel was extremely tall and fair, more serious and intense.
Let Lee Savino lead you through a tale full of emotional angst and love, hope and courage, fear and loyalty. What a terrific storyline with characters so genuine I couldn't put it down until it was finished.

Brenna was the oldest sister. She was the one ordered to do the most and the one her stepfather abused. She couldn't defend with her voice. Years before, it had been taken by a wolf attack. To repay her audacity, the evil man sold her as a slave to two warriors.
She expected abuse, even death. Instead, the two leaders showed her tenderness and pleasure.

In this first installment of the series, there is a slow telling of the story of their lives. It is difficult to communicate with her lack of speech. If you are looking for steamy hot menage you will find it here.
