I picked up this book while pregnant with my daughter because I feel in love with the illustrations and text. I read it out loud repeatedly before she was born, and countless time while try to soothe her to sleep during her 1st weeks of life. It was the first book I memorized. As she has gotten older, we've enjoyed the book in different ways since she is now looking and pointing to the pictures.

After many months of watching this in my wishlist, I finally ordered it and was not disappointed. I am in absolute love with Wombat and his little antics. I also find the middle layout (turned sideways so you get the full view of the tree) a delight. Most of all it is a fun bedtime read for my 17 month old who loves to point out the different animals.

I work in daycare with children mostly between the ages of 18 months and 3 years, and they just LOVE this book! They call it "the boom book" because when the wombat jumps to make noise when he falls down, we always say "BOOM!" all together. They also love the page with all the funny faces, and we have to take 10 minutes to make all the faces together. A must have!

I just loved this story and teh illustrations are darling. I love it so much that I am buying the other wombat books as well. ( I just can't decide if I want the full size picture books or the board books.)

I stumbled onto this book while looking for a copy of Dig Dig Digging (which my son prefers with near religious intensity). Sometimes I Like to Curl Up in a Ball has adorable and high quality illustrations - even down to the look on the butterfly's face that is caught in a wombat yell. It also contains very funny and comforting prose - not too long and not too short.

I cannot think of a more rousing endorsement than to say that I am currently searching the store for other books by the author to add to our children's library.

This has become one of my favorite baby gifts, especially for rolly-polly little boys. Everyone I've given it to has commented that it has become one of their favorite books also. Fun reading rhymes, cute pictures.

This book is really cute. The artwork is incredible and the story is really great. My 2 1/2 year old son loves this book. It is silly, but thoughtful. Surprisingly, a good bedtime story too as it ends with the wombat cuddling with his mom to go to bed.

This book has been perfect since my daughter was born. At 11 months she loved to copy the faces (sticking out her tongue) and now she's 18 months now and loves to point out all the animals. Plus it's my favorite!
