Thank you so much Dr. V for a wonderfully written and informative book. It is packed with so much detail and knowledge. I know I will definitely be referring back to it as a life guide. I loved that you also covered emotional healing as part of the journey which is an aspect not even recognized by most traditional doctors. Your book is a must read for every woman.

You guys! Please do not take this information as truth. I have seen first hand the horrors of what treating breast cancer naturally can do to a woman and her family. Just yesterday in fact, I cared for a dear woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer a little over a year ago. After meeting with one of the leading surgeons in our state that specializes in breast cancer, this woman decided to go another route and be treated by a homeopathic specialist. After a year of a very specialized treatment plan (similar to what this book contains) this woman's cancer metastasized into her breast bone and lymph nodes, spreading to her lungs and brain. As much as I wish to post some pictures of what not treating breast cancer can look like, I know this would be inappropriate. I will put it this way though, this woman's breast looked as if it has exploded from the inside out, with open sores and macerated tissue hanging from her body. It was horrifying and this poor woman was lead to believe from her alternative specialist that this was "normal and just the body's way of expelling the invasive disease", while in all reality it was spreading, and had maimed her chest, leaving nothing but a giant open wound, that looked as if she had been hit by shrapnel. She didn't know any better, and she truly thought she was doing what was best for her body. Now she lies in a hospital bed in the ICU, where her and her family are mourning her most likely inevitable death as the as it's spread to multiple body organs will most likely take her life. While I do believe that there are many things that natural medicine is great for, I beg you all to please reconsider the gift that modern medicine has provided us all. There are strict regulations controlling medicine and so much unbiased research that verifies and tests the treatments that do save many lives! Genetics also does play a big factor in whether a person is at a higher risk (more susceptible) to getting cancer. Every person's body can also respond differently to cancers, and cancers can present themselves differently too. This is why some people even at risk don't get cancer while some people who tried to limit their exposure to toxins do get cancer, why some cancers grow more rapidly than others, while others respond to treatment differently. i completely believe that everyone is entitled to their own choice, but I beg you all to at least make yours the most informed choice you possibly can. I have seen so many devastating events where people from every walk of life have chosen to treat their illness homeopathically and the devastation that it has brought to their families. God bless you all.

When Dr. Veronque Desaulniers contacted me recently about reviewing her new book, Heal Breast Cancer Naturally - 7 Essential Steps to Beating Breast Cancer, I had just reached the 5-year anniversary of my own journey with breast cancer, so I was very interested in reading about her approach. “You have cancer” has to be one of the most dreaded and devastating statements in any language and, no matter what the outcome, it affects you for the rest of your life. So that you know where I’m coming from with this review, my own cancer was found early and was very small. I had out-patient surgery to remove the cancerous tissue, but did not need chemo, radiation, or reconstructive surgery. I did take Arimidex for the prescribed five years and had quite a few side effects from that. I just had my 63rd birthday and suspect that I would have a different feeling about some of the suggestions in Dr. V.’s book if I were younger. That said, Dr. V.’s book is very readable and interesting, but some of the seven steps are radical and difficult. Again, if I were younger and facing a dire cancer diagnosis, I think I’d be much more willing to try coffee and green tea enemas, toss out all of the chemicals in the house, have my fillings removed, etc.
That said, Dr. V. has been on a breast cancer journey herself and has worked with many cancer patients. She is a Doctor of Chiropractic with more than 35 years of experience in the wellness industry. She has obviously thoroughly researched and tested the steps she is advocating, but they have not been approved by the FDA, AMA, or any Federal or State agency. Dr. V. herself admits in the book that some of the steps in her program are very difficult and suggests that readers start by using some of the suggestions that resonate with them - which is what I’m doing. I’m sure just about everyone would go out of their way to avoid and prevent cancer, so I do suggest that this book be one that is read in addition to other informational books and websites that address treating and preventing cancer without surgery, chemo and radiation treatments that cause more problems than they really cure. I’m all for healthy living and if this book saves even one life, it is well worth reading.

After hearing of Dr V. and searching, reading, and watching her on the internet, I've so far come to the conclusion she's a "cancer hero" - which can be a dubious, slippery slope of a certain kind of fame cultivated. The hero may even believe in themselves with a great sense of serving others. When stressed and vulnerable we are easy pickings for others who act as if they 'know the secret.'
As a 13 yr cancer patient LIVING WITH stage lV lymphoma with lots of tread of the road under my feet, I know deep down to the marrow of my bones the well-intentioned along with the self-serving; the fact that people will believe what they want to believe - especially if it soothes and brings comfort when we feel in danger. I also know people in distress will sometimes shop for the most comfortable answer while thinking *this* aligns with my values. Sometimes answers are complex and uncomfortable.
"The cure for the pain is in the pain." - Rumi
"What will you do with your one, wild, and precious life?" - Mary Oliver
....and lastly, why can't I find this book available in ANY library in my whole state? (and we've got some good libraries!). I'd read it if I could get it from a library. No way I'm putting my 2¢ in Dr V's pocket or any other ego pop star of cancer world.

A guide can only lead where they have gone before, and this is what Dr. Veronique Desaulniers offers in her book: Heal Breast Cancer Naturally. She takes readers on a step-by-step, journey of empowerment.
The direction for this healing journey is launched with a question: "Is this going to be a gift or is this going to be a burden? You get to choose." From there, Dr. Deaideners shares the results of her years of research and her personal experience by explaining various forms of breast cancer, what makes or destroys a healthy body, the 7 Cancer Triggers, then lays out her 7 Essential Steps to Healing.
With all the pink ribbons and donations, why does this insidious disease continue to grow? As a doctor of natural healing I endorse her and recommend this book. I also agree with Dr. Desaulniers that possibly early detection needs to run second to a focus on prevention. The disclaimer and waiver of the book begin the journey from fear into HOPE.

There's about as many types of treatments or preventative actions to take against cancer as there are types of cancer. It's kind of mind boggling, and most likely quite expensive to take up a regimen to fight cancer, but being forewarned is the best way to try to prevent cancer before you're diagnosed with an active cancer, and then fighting to rein it under control. I've lost so many family members to this disease, including my Mom, and my Grandma from breast cancer, a Grandfather to inoperable lung cancer, and an Aunt to brain cancer. And my husband has been fighting Multiple Myeoloma for over fifteen years, and many people on his side of the family have also lost their battles with various cancers.
I found the book full of possibilities for treatments, but it doesn't answer all of my questions about cancer and the treatments. I wish Dr. V. was one of our cancer doctors. Every day I feel like I need more help, I'm so overwhelmed. The fear is paralyzing and debilitating, and it's impossible to distance myself or our child from our circumstances. It's up to us three to care for one another. I'm lost, and everyday eats away at a little more of our peace of mind and our family's unity.
Maybe your next book could include therapy, family, or cancer treatment counseling, along with sources for financial help. We've been waiting over a year for the finances for several surgeries for my husband that his medical coverage won't cover, and also for dental work for him. Our medical and dental needs are also on hold until we can get his issues resolved.
The biggest obstacle that you neglected to mention is that the longer cancer can be survived, the more emotional (and possibly physical) distance you find that you have with your family and friends. They tend not to lend as much emotional, physical,or financial support the longer that you survive. It's too difficult for them to face the ongoing problems of day to day living with debilitating disease that never ever goes away into remission except for a few days, weeks, or months. It's too emotionally and physically draining for them to carry that burden with them everyday. It's easier for them to avoid us, and pretend that there aren't any problems that might concern them. After all, this has been ongoing with one issue after another forever, how bad could it be? So it falls on our child and us to muddle through the best we can. Each day that we have together is a blessing.

Dr. Veronique Desaulniers has healed herself of cancer naturally, and has helped thousands of others to heal themselves using her knowledge. This book give you the information needed to avoid getting cancer, as well as steps to take to heal cancer if you have it.
As a breast cancer survivor myself, who has done extensive online research, I found this book to be a very valuable resource. It is not, however, intended to be a substitute for proper diagnosis and treatment by a licensed medical professional. With this book, Dr. Desaulniers teaches you that breast cancer is an accumulation of many illnesses and weaknesses in the body, brought on by eating poor quality food, lack of adequate sleep and chronic stress. You'll learn how to prevent or heal cancer by making informed decisions, and being committed to lifelong healthier habits. The 7 essential steps are broken down as follows: 1) Let food be your medicine. 2) Reduce your toxic exposure. 3) Balance your energy. 4) Heal your emotional dentistry. 6) repair your body with therapeutic plants. And finally 7) Adopt very early detection.
This book was written to give hope to women faced with the diagnosis of breast cancer and is a MUST READ for EVERYONE!

After my wife's breast cancer diagnosis less than two years ago, she and I spent countless hours trying to get to the bottom of why it happened, how to increase her chances for a positive outcome, and how to avoid recurrence. We were blessed to come across Dr. V's website and to get her honest assessment of the TRUE causes of breast cancer and how to defeat it. I wish that this book were mandatory reading for any woman facing this disease. It breaks down all of the information one needs to know that is never discussed by the cancer industry. We have implemented the strategies in this book, and we not only feel better than we ever had, my wife is also confident that she will not be going back for a second treatment as many women unfortunately do. The big 3 (chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation) do not cure cancer. They only temporarily keep it at bay until it resurfaces unless one knows the true causes that are shared in this book and implements them. Thank God for people like Dr. V. who share truth when it comes to heal breast cancer the right way.

Dr. Veronique Desaulniers proposes that BRCA carriers need not have preventative surgery and just eat a natural diet to prevent the deadly BRCA diseases of breast and Ovarian Cancer. This is deadly advice. See her comment and responses here: http://thetruthaboutcancer.com/angelina-jolie-brca-gene/
This is extremely deadly advice. Here is what I wrote on her blog on above link:
have the BRCA1 gene as do all women in my family (mother, aunts, cousins, etc.). Every woman in my family, including myself, contracted Breast and/or Ovarian Cancer NO MATTER WHAT THEY ATE. My cousin, for example, is a vegan, eats perfectly, exercises, etc. and has gotten both breast and Ovarian Cancer. I have been to many leading genetiicists and posed questions about nutrition. All have said that with the BRCA gene, even a perfectly healthy diet can't prevent BRCA cancer. I do believe though and have read research as such that a healthy diet and life style will help you survive cancer if you get it. But I also believe you espouse a DANGEROUS and possibly deadly message to encourage BRCA carriers to not have preventative surgery. I know a lot of Breast and Ovarian cancer survivors who have and still live healthy life styles eating even more strictly than you espouse and have still gotten cancer. And I would like to mention that it is not a good idea to eat eggs and dairy if you are a cancer survivor - and that is especially true for Ovarian and Breast Cancer. Unfortunately, the only sure thing is preventative surgery . . .especially for Ovarian Cancer which doesn't present itself with symptoms until it's advanced. Ovarian Cancer is the most deadly gynecolaogical cancer. So I really encourage you to reconsider your recommendations. I would hate to see many succomb to Ovarian and/or Breast Cancer naively thinking only diet will prevent it.

Dr. Véronique Desaulniers-Chomniak has maintained successful practices in the Wellness Field since 1979. She graduated from Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta, GA, in December of 1979. The last 10 years of her practice, she focused on Women's Wellness and Breast Cancer prevention. Because of her passion for health and wellness, she studies extensively in various fields of "Energy Medicine." Specializing in Bio-Energetics, Meridian Stress Analysis, Homeopathy, Digital Thermography, and Chiropractic she brings a unique approach to Health and Wellness. After 30 years in active practice, she decided to "retire" and devote her time to sharing her personal, non-toxic healing journey with Breast Cancer. Her years of experience and research have culminated as "The 7 Essentials," a step-by-step coaching program for preventing and healing Breast Cancer Naturally.
Dr. V. (as she likes to be called) began her interest in holistic medicine early on when she heard the following: `Health is your birthright. Follow specific laws and your body can heal and recover. Put good things IN your body and your health will reflect that. You Nerve System is the master computer of your body and a subluxated spine can impede the transmission of life-promoting energy to your organs and cells.' She went on to study Chiropractic and later in life she discovered a lump in her breast and from there she takes us through the journey she traveled, introducing us to the natural way of diagnosing, treating and surviving breast cancer.
From her initial exposure to a `black salve' (Black salve = blood root -contains Sanguiarine which causes cancer cells to die without affecting healthy cells, zinc chloride, galangal) which she self-applied (in time the cancer was gone) and then she proceeds to discuss all aspects of prevention, avoiding causes, discussing etiologies, nutrition, detoxification and other solid natural approaches to our bodies and to life. She divides her chapters into The Seven Essentials - Essential #1 - Let food be your medicine, Essential #2 - Reduce Your Toxic Exposure, Essential # 3 - Balance Your Energy, Essential # 4 - Heal Your Emotional Wounds, Essential # 5 - Embrace Biological Dentistry, Essential # 6 - Repair Your Body with Therapeutic Plants, Essential # 7 - Adopt Very Early Detection. With in the scope of this book Dr V. shares more about the holistic approach to health than is likely to be found elsewhere. She writes well, shoes deep concern for mankind, and the result is a book that all should read. Grady Harp, April 14

Dr. Desaulniers sought reviews for her book and I was contacted only because I've reviewed several hundred books and am more than a voracious reader of many genres. I mentioned that my mother died of breast cancer and Ms. Desaulniers expressed her sympathy but still wanted my review. Well, my mother was found to have breast cancer back in the 1960s. She had read books about natural foods and natural healing and she believed quite deeply in it. In fact, she did not have any surgery, radiation, or chemo. She traveled to a naturopath in Kentucky and stayed there for many months. He advocated many of the things that are taught in this book: Juicing, cruciferous vegetables, alkaline foods, reducing toxic exposure of different types, buying organic, avoiding chemicals in everything from skin cream, to home cleansers, to deodorants and sprays. He was huge on detoxing the body in various ways and for specific organs. Three years after we learned of the cancer my mother died. The cancer had spread like wildfire through her organs. I believe much more research has been done since my mother's experience, I believe there are many toxins on and in our foods and our environment. I believe in a healthy diet and in sleep, exercise, emotional peace-making, some chiropractic practices.... However, I cannot tell anyone why these measures did not work for my mother and why the cancer spread quickly in spite of all. I wish I knew all the answers but I do not.

Dr. V's lifetime of research and experience has brought her to this point where she is able to speak her truth and share her knowledge with the public to allow others to have another option in their course of disease treatment and prevention. I feel lucky and fortunate to benefit from this information that has helped and will continue to help so many people live their life to the fullest. Thank you, Dr. V!!!!

As a clinician who works with cancer patients on a regular basis, I was thoroughly impressed with Dr V's book. It is extremely thorough and easy enough for any lay person to read and begin to apply the action steps in each chapter. Her personal story of triumph over breast cancer makes this book come alive and it is easy to connect with. Meanwhile, clinicians and health care practitioners will benefit greatly from reading and studying the material in this book. Great job Dr V!

After being diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in October 2012, my husband spent his life researching and wanting to learn and understand everything about cancer. Through our holistic chiropractor, he recommended that I reach out to Dr. V, and I have been following her ever since, taking in all of her information and learning all that I can. After reading her book, not only was I inspired by her own courage to treat her breast cancer naturally, I admire her for her courage to share her information openly in her book to help and educate all the women who are going through breast cancer, will be diagnosed with breast cancer or trying to prevent breast cancer! I found myself wanting to soak up every bit of information that she shared! This is a must read and definitely made me feel more confident in my personal situation! Thank you Dr. V!!!

Only an uneducated fool with a death wish would take this drivel seriously. The author is a chiropractor with no relevant education, and the content is so full of incorrect, ill-informed, and ignorant misinformation that it should be criminal.

As a survivor of two primary breast cancers and three lung cancers, I am appalled by books like and others of the same ilk by Christiane Northrup https://www.the store.com/Christiane-Northrup/e/B001IGO62S
Before adopting the approach of either of these authors, read this: https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/christiane-northrup-md-science-tainted-with-strange-beliefs/

A very dangerous book by a very biased author. Please read with great caution. Books like these can cost women their lives. Read it for prevention, but not for a cure. Find a doctor you can trust. Seek another opinion. Early stage breast cancer is treated aggressively because when it is within the breast it can be cured.
