Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN Examination (Saunders Comprehensive Review for Nclex- (Saunders Comprehensive Review for Nclex-Rn)

Review:Its required text for my RN program. It wasn't until recently I was forced to crack it open when my go to HESI book did not have specific question choices for the chapters I was to be tested on. I read over the matching chapters in this book and It simplified and condensed all the info I needed. The questions from the online companion were SPOT ON for my exam. I've been converted. I like this book now. Read more

Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing & Healthcare - A Guide to Best Practice 3rd edition
Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing & Healthcare - A Guide to Best Practice 3rd edition

Review:Evidenced-based practice is important for any profession to be taken seriously and to be trustworthy. However, this book is not a fun read. I completed most of my class without it and used it sparingly for references. The 5 starts is because the seller sent it promptly, packaged it securely, and most of all described it perfectly. Notes on Nursing
Notes on Nursing

Review:This is a book all nurses should read. It was written in the 1800's, but the basic nursing concepts have not changed. Because it was written in a different era, the language can be a bit cumbersome. I had to reread some passages to gain full comprehension. Again, even though this was written long ago, the basic concepts are very beneficial to any one on the medical profession. Read more

and Everything in Between - A New Nurse Faces Death
and Everything in Between - A New Nurse Faces Death

Review:This book is a quick read. I imagine somewhat like a first year of nursing would go. As a new nurse myself (that doesn't have a job yet), it was interesting to see how Teresa managed her first year as a nurse. I thought she captured the difficulties and the learning curve, pretty well.

My irritation at the book was minimal. I felt kind of "dirty," in reading it, like she was capitalizing on other people's traumas and deaths for her material, soley for my reading enjoyment. I also thou... Read more

Wong's Nursing Care of Infants and Children

Review:Book details described as "New." The book I received seemed fairly new. Dirty back, scratch on front cover, damaged spine. These textbooks are expensive, and I was upset the quality of the book I received was not new. Not happy with what I received but needed the textbook immediately so I kept it. If it wasn't for needing the book for class, I would've returned it. Not happy with my experience. Read more
