Its required text for my RN program. It wasn't until recently I was forced to crack it open when my go to HESI book did not have specific question choices for the chapters I was to be tested on. I read over the matching chapters in this book and It simplified and condensed all the info I needed. The questions from the online companion were SPOT ON for my exam. I've been converted. I like this book now.

This is an awesome NCLEX review book! I bought the LPN edition a couple years back. I liked it so much that now that I'm going back for my RN I had to go with the this one. It is a complete review with NCLEX style questions at the end of each chapter. Absolutely worth it!!

I used this book to study for a final. I had been averaging mid 80's and mid 70's all semester long. This book is not just a Q&A. It has all of the important info in the form of list. I managed an 89.6 on my final which averaged out to a 90%. Classes are about to pick up again for next semester and I am using this book along with my class notes and text book without question! If you dont have this book get it ASAP even if you are in that first semester. You wont regret it!

I purchased this review book my last semester of nursing school. It helped me tremendously getting through my last class. I recently took my NCLEX last week, passing on the first attempt with 88 questions. I went through this book by sections only doing the practice questions when I studied for NCLEX. All I did was practice questions through each section and read the rationales. I highly recommend this review book!

I've had the sixth edition as well. The big change here for me is that the answers to the 15-20 chapter practice questions are now located at the END of each chapter-so you don't have to flip all the way to the back of the book every time. If you're a nursing student, you get how annoying that can be and that this is a nice change!

As always, comes with a scratch-off code at the front of the book for additional practice questions online. I'm using this Saunders primarily for basic content review. The photos/diagrams in the book are also helpful. Saunders is consistently what my school recommends for reviewing the basics. I'm also using UWorld for practice questions for the NCLEX.

I would HIGHLY recommend buying this product during nursing school. I just finished my first semester and I did not buy this until the last month. I got a 94 on my last exam and a 90 on the Hesi! I would buy it new as it comes with a question bank online. I also bought the HESI NCLEX book. I would read the HESI NCLEX and then read the corresponding chapter in this book and answer the questions. It gives you rationale on each question and gives you tips on how to answer similar questions. Cannot wait to use this in the rest of school!

I'm so pleased with my experience with this book. I graduated nursing school in December and took my NCLEX RN in April. Passed with flying colors!! This is really the only resource I used aside from the NCLEX app. Doing practice questions is how I like to study and this book is perfect for that. And if I got a question wrong I went back to the rationale and the part of the book that explains it and I felt very prepared before taking the NCLEX. Passed with 84 questions!

I was not impressed with this book even after all the hype. The informational section in the front is awesome and really prepared me for more of the logistical things. But, i don't know, I guess I expected it to be less content and more questions. It's a textbook, plain and simple. And that's probably my fault for not reading product information correctly. I think there are better books out there for the NCLEX (I passed in 75 questions without this book). However, if you are still in nursing school, this book is very very helpful because of all the wealth of information. I would have understood a lot more if I had this book while still in nursing school.

this is a great book if you like bullet points and down to the point. which i am a huge fan of! I don’t wanna read all the “fluff” I love getting down to the point when it comes to studying for the NCLEX. so far I love it! I’ll let you know when I take the NCLEX this august.

I really liked the Saunders book until i found the ATI book. The Saunders does come with online resources contain more than 2500 questions. The Saunders book is not organized and its information sometimes is misleading. I have friends that love the Saunders book and I also did, but it contains too much information.

Great prep book goes along with my textbooks and the layout of the book is perfect and easy to read. It's not overwhelming like rereading a textbook. It summarizes and hits all the key points. The questions at the end of each section are key also to success. Would recommend to any nursing student. These books are vital to succeeding!

I bought this in January for early studying of Nclex. So far I am pretty pleased with the book. It breaks information down and really hits on most important points . I use this in conjunction with Kaplan, which focuses more on how to answer the question. I would recommend this book for those whose content is weak and needs a great review before sitting for the exam.

I'm working through this book now while finishing my senior year of nursing school. The online portion allows you to practice and test with sample questions. After taking the pre-test, it gives you a 6-week study schedule based on your weaknesses from the test. You can then take a post-test after you complete your study schedule. It is very clear to understand, as it has an outline format of the chapters. It includes diagrams, charts, and pictures, and each chapter has questions with answers at the end. I am confident that this book will help me with passing the NCLEX the first time, and I highly recommend it!

The book itself is good. Great condition. There are a limited amount of questions, so when I went to scratch the access code and enter it (to access more questions/the online access portion) the code did NOT work. That is half the reason I bought this book. Next time, make sure to order it from a confirmed seller instead of trying to save a buck. When you finish the 20 odd questions per section, the book is basically useless.

Personally, too much info. If your interested in this book, it would be good as a supplement during class or refresher over summer break. Its bullet point styled, which is not for me. Has good info, but too much for me. I passed NCLEX using ATI questions and Uworld questions.

Divides up everything by subject and content. Highlights exactly what you need to know, no fluff! Comes with an online question bank of 5000 questions which was an amazing study tool! The online component was very versatile and you can cater it to how you learn best! Provides accurate and straight forward rationales. The fundamentals section is where I spent the most time and I passed on my first try! Thank you Saunders!

Great NCLEX review book! I thought this book was way more beneficial than the review class I took (also $300 cheaper). Concise content, easy to understand, great charts/pictures, awesome questions and rationales. If you are willing to put the time in to read this book or at least cover your weak areas you can easily pass the NCLEX in 75 questions.

This book is outstanding. It is easy to understand, and has many practice questions at the end of each section. I highly recommend this book because it has an enormous amount of really important concepts that I found very helpful for passing the NCLEX my first attempt.

Although the content is updated, it is missing the following 2 chapters that were present in the 5th edition: Laboratory Values and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Guidlines for Health Care Providers. I purchased this book as the the NCLEX-RN was updated as of April 2016 and this book provides the updated meds (mainly generic) and more Alternatitve Item Format questions (including SATA). I bought new so that I could access the pre-test, practice tests (practice and exam modes) plus the 30 day study schedule and post-test online.

The version before this one is how I got through nursing school with flying colors and aced the NCLEX first try in 75 questions. Some classes I didn't even rent the text books, I just used this book and journal articles. It is so thorough and covers exactly what a student needs to know for nursing school. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

This book is wonderful! So glad I did not wait until I was just about to take the NCLEX-RN to purchase this book because it has so much to offer during actual nursing school itself! Major concepts (e.i. Fluid and Electrolytes) are discussed in easy-to-read outline format with practice questions at the end of each concept that also include rationales for the answers and test-taking tips as well! Thankful for the immediate benefits of this book while still in nursing school and the ones to come as I get closer to taking the NCLEX!
Would definitely recommend this to any current nursing student or recent grad preparing for his/her state board!

This was a gift for our Granddaughter, who is a Nursing student. This book came highly recommended. Shipping was even quicker than we had been told. It arrived before a big test and she scored very well on it.

The Kindle format of this book is awful. It looks as if the entire text from the book was just copy/pasted one line at a time in one endless column of text. It doesn't look anything like a page from a book, and the information is impossible to read and understand because the content is organized so poorly. I've gotten a few textbooks through the store/Kindle with no issues in the past, but their version of this book is absolute crap and impossible to read.

I will come back after I take the NCLEX, but I am so far loving this book. It breaks it down in a colorful way for visual learners and has great reasoning for each question for those that need to read explanations as well. The questions, although not very many for each minor section, are plentiful when you think of it as that way - the way each category is broken up into smaller categories and then has questions for each of those allows for extensive reteaching.

I use this in supplementation with Kaplan - I take the NCLEX next month so I'll come back with an updated review!

This book is excellent, full of information that will help you through the RN Program....as well as the NCLEX. The book is divided by elements of each specific subject of Nursing, with Critical thinking questions and answers on each that will guide you through the process. Also, an expansive book with a tremendous amount of conveyed facts to enable you to pass the NCLEX exam. Five thumbs up!

Ok so i graduated nursing school over a year ago. Due to procrastination and laziness, i didnt review any materials, notes or videos since before graduation (I highly recommend against this). Needless to say i forgot almost everything i learned. I bought this book about 2 months. Read it front to back twice and answered questions online. Passed the nclex in 75 questions!! This was my only resource. What i like most about the book is the straight forward explanations without fluffing the sentence length. It made reading the material a lot quicker. If you are fresh out of nursing school there will be plenty chapters you will probably be able to skip, but there may be chapters u need to review and this book will make review easy to do. Dont forget to do the online questions and read the rationales! This is a long review, but i think this product is awesome and it can help someone else!

So far it works great. I have to agree with other reviews that it does look and feel well made. The only feature that it doesn't have and would be nice is the ability to cut at different lengths.
Other than that not bad

If you are in nursing school GET THIS BOOK. Doesn't matter what semester you're in. Get it! It will help you in your current classes. Even if you're about to start nursing school you should get this. It has a whole giant section on fundamentals that will help soooo much when you start nursing school and take those first nursing courses. This book has been useful with the HESI and my regular exams. LOVE IT!

I ordered the book June 24, 2010 and I received it in July 2, 2017. The book is A+ however the covers are paper bound, I had to cover them to preserve the material. I have just one question on p.99 Box 9.1 regarding administration of high oxygen level per nasal cannula with emphysema and COPD who are CO2 retainers and p.100 on red ink regarding px w hx of emphysema and COPD not to give O2 more than 2LPM since high flow O2 would decrease their drive to breathe. Please enlighten me. I know the later is the one applicable. Thank you.

The Kindle edition doesn't come with online access. It's so frustrating trying to get access which the ebook indicates I am entitled to.I keep getting prompted with "this is not the correct isbn" after entering it multiple times.

I have another year before my NCLEX, but it was recommended to me to use this as a substitute for my textbook and has been working wonders! High grades without hours of trying to pull out need to know info from the text, it is already done for me! Highly recommend buying this when you start nursing school as opposed to before your NCLEX!

I used Saunders 7th edition book and online program to study for nclex, I reviewed concepts with the textbook and then practiced thousands of questions with the online access. I felt like I had a good understanding of the material going in to the exam and passed after 75 questions on my first try.

This book is what you should use throughout your nursing program. The hell with the rest of the books they give you. It breaks everything down so easily. You won't struggle as much using this book and doing practice questions throughout the program.

I purchased this book as an update from my 5th edition, as this was a good book to use for my nursing courses. I happen to also look in books of my classmates and was also very pleased, so I decided to purchase my own. Other than the store, trying to hold the shipment purposely until the last day of shipment, this book is good for study purposes.

The book itself is great, but if you purchase this book for the online resource, don't waste your money! I took a 75 question pre-test assessment, and received no results, the technicians were incredibly unhelpful, and erased my testing history. In addition I had to deal with technical support because the code that I scratched off in the book, didn't even work. Good paperback resource, horrific online resource.

This clipboard was almost $100.00 and therefore I expected a high quality product, however I was extremely disappointed. This clipboard is molded from a hard plastic, perhaps styrene but completely wrong for its intended use. A clipboard for a student of any type has to be durable because it will get hours of use and be transported all over the place. My daughter & I recognized immediately that this unit will have to be treated with great care to prevent it from cracking. As a quality professional I would strongly suggest that the material that this unit is molded from needs to be changed to a more durable plastic.

Sincerely,
Shirley Walker
