The man was an incredible genius, albeit perhaps misunderstood. The words he laid down give great insight insight into his life. His accomplishments were amazing, and his theories astounding. The threads of his influence have wound their way to the present and shall continue to lead us into a marvelous future. Will we ever see his like again? If so it is hoped he shall not suffer the same ridicule and persecution.

Tesla talks about his inventions without conceit. His ideas were so far ahead of his time that we are only just now putting some of them to use. He knew a way to supply every household and business on this earth with electricity, wirelessly. Why was that suppressed? Very interesting book.

A book that is easy to read. Very entertaining and the fact that the story is told on first hand, makes it very interesting. Good for boys that are yet to find their way. It reveals the struggles and adventures that this great man went through. Amazing!

I liked this book because I knew little of Tesla. I understand him much better now. This book does not get into explanations of his actual inventions, but rather he talks about himself during his life. I did not realize that he was such a strange man and this book clearly shows that strangeness within genius.

I have heard vastly different accounts of who and what Nikola Tesla was, and this book is a fascinating glimpse of the man from his own perspective. If even part of what he talked about is fact, he indeed may have been a genius who has a profound effect on our world today and could yet have an effect on our future. Or he may have been a visionary or dreamer who was suppresed by the time in which he lived. I must read more about him.

I decided to learn more about this man after reading a comment by Albert Einstein when asked what it was like to be a genius " I don't know ask Tesla" he replied. Just finding it hard to understand his book, there is a lot of technical references I am not familiar with and find his writing choppy.

I liked it when he wrote, "...the Law of Compensation. The true rewards are ever in proportion to the labor and sacrifices made."
Wouldn't it have been nice if Thomas Edison observed this law?

Wonderful insight into the mind opened by tesla himself. Limited only by external political, racial, nationalistic, and self-serving individuals who were farthermost from telsa's altruistic genius. I am proud he is receiving the recognition deserved for a century.

It seems unlikely that Tesla could have opened so many doorways to help advance science, and yet die penniless and almost forgotten. This book shows that his ideas were much ahead of his time. Today, it seems that the world is starting to see that many of his fanciful ideas are achievable. History books should mention Tesla as frequently as Edison.

This ebook is missing pages. I ordered another edition and guess what. . .it was missing pages too. It's not a big deal for 99 cents each but it's a discouraging to read 75% of a book only to find missing pages toward the end. Try to get the store to fix the problem. Forget it. What a waste of time.

Recommended to anyone interested in science, engineering and the futures. Tesla's inventions are still not fully realized. Much of what he said was possible is now in existence; why then would we doubt his other assertions?

This book provides a really good insight to the actual life of Tesla. You read about his youth and several close calls he has with death.
He was not a normal boy by any means. He would often see things that did not make sense (hallucinate almost). This is worth the quick read!

Fantastic and fascinating. Clearly he had some kind of OCD. Extremely readable.
The paperback version is print on demand by Acute Text. Apparently they scanned (OCR) in the original but did not proof read the book, it's riddled with typographical errors.

What a genius. What an amazing person. This is Tesla's own story and it is remarkable. He saw the world so differently from most if not all people. He was really too good for us and I wish that we had treasured him.

Raging egotist, and honestly, rightfully so. Book is a very biased look into the mind of one of the great inventors of all time. Growing up, we never read about him in history class, Maybe he was too quirky?
The book could use the services of a good editor.
Glad I bought it. Glad I read it. Informative in many ways-positive and negative,
Now off to read 'Empires of Light' for a bit more objective view of the genius.
