Somewhere In Time

We (my family, too) were totally engrossed in this book, from beginning to end! We couldn't put it down until finished! We also saw the movie, and plan to stay at the hotel where the movie took place.

At first I was doubtful on reading this book, since I love the movie based on this book. But now I must say if the movie was beautiful the book is more. I do really enjoyed each time I spent reading this book, and will miss terrible Elise Mackeena and mr Collier.

This author really digs into human interactions and emotional connections. He writes in tasty bite-sized chunks that capture the journey of the protagonist in a highly digestible way. LOVED this book.

After seeing the movie, I had to read the novel. It filled in most of the gaps in the story line that had to be glossed over in the movie. As good as the novel is, I really prefer the adaptations written into the script for the movie. One of the very few examples where the screenplay was a positive and refined evolution of the novel.

I saw the movie with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. I knew,without certainty, that I needed to read the book upon which the movie was based. Beautifully written and all encompassing, I read the entire book within 3 hours!!!!

I loved this movie. And I love Richard Matheson. However this is book was not good. The man in the story is a ridiculous sweaty mess and the fact that the woman falls for him despite his awkward moaning to continue to embarrass himself by being in her presence made me squirm. Watch the movie, it is lovely, and then at the end debate with your friends if the title should have been 'Somewhen in Time', but don't read the book.
