This engaging novel kept me guessing throughout the book. I am left with many questions: Is Amber really in a coma or is she dreaming? Does her friend Taylor exist or is she a figment of her imagination like Jo? Is Amber suffering from a mental disorder? A great Book Club read because it lends itself to much discussion!

Sometimes I Lie is well written. It is twisty but easy to follow. The characters are described well. The plot is interesting and
suspenseful. I HAD to keep reading! I highly recommend this book!

This story is so fascinating and grabs you from the first few lines. I read it in one day! If you start reading it, you won't want to stop. It's a dark story with several twists. I got so caught up in the story that I forgot the significance of the title!!!

** spoiler alert ** This one will certainly make the top 10 list of worst books I've read this year.
First, the book was difficult to get through due to poor grammar. Sentence structure was terrible, with commas frequently placed instead of periods. (The editor should be fired!) But the story was decent until the end started unfolding.
I found Amber to be unlikable. She is sure no one loves her, and the author gave us no reason to love her anyway.
Why does she start out telling us her husband doesn't love her? The author plays on that briefly when he speaks angrily to her when she is in the coma. But then he's a doting husband again. The author's attempt to make us think the husband played a role in the accident fell flat. It seemed as though she abandoned that story line unannounced and moved randomly in another direction.
What was the point of Edward? He stalked her, kept her in a medically induced coma, and raped her, but then his storyline dropped. He disappeared and no one seemed all that concerned about it.
The big twist to the story seemed to be that Amber is Taylor. This just created confusion, and was nothing more than a sloppy surprised.

An interesting story but a rather unrealistic one. Good understanding of the pain of being poor and having an alcoholic parent. The father tried unsuccessfully to be a good Dad. The evil of both girls seemed unrealistic.

Twists and more twists. Constantly wondering "what does she lie about?" Kept me reading and interested the whole way. The auther is developing some great use of language and twists of familiar phrases.
