Easton Wylder has quite the reputation for being “the player”. He’s the best of the best but due to a targeted injury, he’s been sidelined and has to go through more physical therapy in order to return to the game.

Sparks fly when Easton meets his new PT, Scout Dalton. Will she be good enough to help him get back into the game or will she be a distraction?

Ms Bromberg just keeps hitting it out of the park...again and again! This baseball love story between a player and his therapist is just soooo good! Love the banter that started this whole thing between Easton and Scout. Watching their relationship grow was just too sweet. And then the cliffhanger!! Well, glad that I waited until the second book came out, so I can dive right back in?

Started slow, but steady. Kept building. Ups and downs. Santiago, what a jerk. Poor Scout, constantly having to prove herself and her worth. She's good, stronger than she looks, but has insecurities. Easton, he has a heart. A strong heart.Always trying to be strong. Always trying to gather Scout.
But the ending, shocking, and book 2 , can't come soon enough.
Ms. Bromberg, you scored a home run.

Once again Kristy Bromberg has made me fall in love with her flawed and fantastic characters. Until Easton and Scout I wouldn't have believed that I could adore any other characters as much as Colton and Riley in the Driven series, but I stand corrected.
K. Bromberg has created another set of characters that pull you in and hold your heart in their hands. She is a master at her craft. Her characters leap from the page to feel like the best friends you never knew you had. Her words weave a tapestry that enfolds you carries you along the journey with her.
You will find yourself cheering on Easton Wylder and pulling for Scout Dalton within the first few chapters. By the end of this book, if you are like me, you will be holding your breath and counting the days until "The Catch " is released.

I don't normally read books that have cliffhanger endings until the next book in the series is already out. But based on some good comments from other reader friends of mine, I decided to take the chance anyway. All I can say is "WOW"! This book gave me a major book hangover! I loved this book and also loved both of the main characters. The writing is just fast paced enough to not bog down the story line. And the ending.....OMG! Can't wait for the next book, The Catch!

"The Player" is an entertaining book that flows smoothly and has depth of character. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is a cliffhanger and I have to wait months to find out what happens. I find that K Bromberg's books are similar to the point of predictability but enjoyable nonetheless. I would definitely recommend "The Player" and am looking forward to the second act.

This is an awesome book, well written and exciting. I even took time out of my baseball watching, had to finish the book as soon as I started it. Loved the chemistry between Easton and Scout and the story line was really hard to put down. This is one I will read again, if you love baseball and steamy romance this is a book for you, I would highly recommend it.

I Love The Player!! Easton & Scout are the real deal.. dealing with their own issues fighting to prove themselves. We all know how the game is played on the field. But we don't know what goes on off the field. This is a must read by Kristy Bromberg
. She is showing she can write about anything. This is a home run, a checkered flag ?. Can't wait for book 2.

Another great book by one of my favorite authors. Easton was in the top of his career when he was injured. Scout was brought in to help him rehab. The story of recovery and the connection and struggles between these two had me needing to see what happens. Easton and Scout had me rooting for them. Ends in a cliffhanger so I cannot wait for the next book.

What the heck? This novel has given me the biggest emotional hangover. The way the book ends with a cliffhanger is the reason for that. Don't get me wrong, I love how the characters banter back and forth on top of pushing through their insecurities is what makes this book great. The only reason for the four star rating and not a five is because of the cliffhanger.

The Player brought me back to that magical place that the original Driven series left me. Easton is a hot, sexy alpha with a heart. Who could ask for more. Scout is his perfect mate and together they just sizzle. I laughed, I cried and then I turned the last page and screamed "NOOOOOO!!!!!!!" I will be counting the days until the next installment. LOVED IT!

I love the strong character of Scout, who can hold her own amongst The baseball Players. Easton Is just so sexy and really does have a sweet personality. I couldn’t stop reading and order the follow up of The Catch right away.

I loved this duet!! The beginning was hysterical and the ending was bittersweet. It was a well written and well rounded story that had my heart swooning at every turn. I'm glad I waited for The Catch to come out before I read The Player because I didn't have to wait to see what happened but I still would like a little more Wylder!

Major league game on! Kristy Bromberg hits another spectacular homerun with "The Player." Easton Wylder and Scout Dalton are perfect in their positions. Sensual, seductive and full of surprises. Maybe my favorite trip to the ballpark ever!

We leave the field with bases loaded, and fans need thAT June 29th playoff to get here quick!

I'm a sucker for baseball players and baseball romance. One of my favorite things about this book is how it captures the crazy love of the game that diehard baseball fans just get and that it was woven throughout this love story. Easton is just about perfect. Scout grew on me as the story went on. Of course, now I'm counting down the days to read what happens next.

Good. I like dynamic of Scout and Easton, and course baseball! I love baseball! Even though Bromberg did get a little bit wrong with the process of a player on the DL. I won't get into that.

The couple had good chemistry. There is a little suspense at the end, but every good story needs a little.

Love the book, love the author, bummed by the cliffy. Either I didn't bother to read since I normally just download anything by Bromberg, or it wasn't mentioned, but we are left wondering what is gonna happen with this couple. Absolutely loved the story and I love Easton.

Easton and Scout are a great set of characters. They feel like people you could know and therefore their conversations and emotions feel real. The pace of their romance and all of the baseball lingo is cool too. It's a different setting and that makes all of it different and fascinating. And Easton comes across rugged and sexy and that always makes for a good read.

I love Scout and Easton. Their developing relationship is steamy, sweet, and complicated in the best way. They story is enticing but this read is wordy. A wordy book is distracting to me. I tend to loose focus and wonder away from reading. Looking forward to the next read and the rest of this story. ?

Can't wait for part two. The relationship between Easton and Scout is full of tension, lust, wanting and trust. They become more and catcher and trainer and you don't want to miss the in-between. Kristy Bromberg has another successful book in her library. Thanks Kristy

Ahhh I totally did not see that ending coming. And now I have to wait a few months to see what happens next? I'm already on the edge of my seat. What's going to happen with Easton and Scout? Aside from the cliffhanger (which really only makes it even better) this book was outstanding!!!!

Anything that K. Bromberg writes is brilliant and I love how she brings the characters to life. I cry and get frustrated enough that I have to take a few minutes to calm myself as if I was standing in the place with them. Too bad that there are only 5 stars....I would give 10. Must read.

K Bromberg yet again did not disappoint. I am in love with Easton and Scout. The author is so vivid with her descriptions that you feel part of the story. The secondary characters add tons to the story. I loved Easton's teammates and Manny.

There are no spoilers in this review! I have been a huge fan of Kristy Bromberg from the very beginning. I cannot tell you how many times I have reread the Driven series. And recommended it to my friends. So, I went into this with high expectations. And let me just say- She does not disappoint. I couldn't put it down!!! I like the change of a sport oriented story instead of the same ole super rich boss and blah! blah! it's getting old. I like the more realistic stories. I feel I can relate to those more. I love her writing, and cannot wait until THE CATCH comes out. You are so awesome! I don't know how you do what you do. But please don't stop!

So the end left me what the heck happened ????? Love Easton and Scout way of talking was fun. My son played ball since little league and brought back funny memories especially the same position!!!! Well now all I can do is sit & wait?❤️??

Easton is so freaking perfects it's not even funny.

I mean, seriously perfect.

Scout gives Easton a run for his money that's for sure and it's the best.

But why did it have to end on a cliffhanger?!?

This was the kind of story that got your attention from the very first page. I'm not gonna lie, Scout running got on my nerves a few times but she redeemed herself very quickly. Very clever and intriguing cliffhanger though.

I really enjoy strong characters that overcome emotional upheaval. Humor always adds to the story and makes it feel more real. I know it's a great read when I can't put it down or want to read again. This is definitely one of those stories. Can't wait for the next book!

As always, a total homerun (pun intended) by K. Bromberg. Absolutely steaming hot romance, a fiesty, fiery, strong but broken woman and a swoony and perfectly imperfect man. The chemistry is off the charts, and I couldn't put it down.

This book was full of twists and turns. Heartfelt and heart breaking moments. I laughed, cried, got angry and gasped in shock. Simply put, this book is AMAZING!!!
Two strong willed, career driven people, the chemistry between Easton and Scout is molten, the sexual tension evident from the very beginning. One wants the other, the other thinks they shouldn’t have what’s brewing between them. Once that line is crossed, the passion that erupts between them is nothing short of explosive. Following them on their journey of learning to trust, to see beyond the surface of outward appearances, and fight for what they want without compromising themselves was beautiful and breath taking. Kristy keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the book with enough angst that is perfectly balanced with the fun and sweet.
I could not put this book down and I anxiously wait for the conclusion in book 2, The Catch.

Oh, Easton...

First let’s just talk about this cover. That mouth. I fell in love with those lips. Can you believe he’s a teacher? Jesus. They didn’t make teachers like HIM, when I was in school. It’s probably a good thing his students are pre-hormones. I honestly closed the book just to have the cover loading screen reappear once or twice... okay it was more like twenty.

But I repeat.... Those. Lips.

On to the story... Easton Wylder was having the season of his life until a dirty play places that delicious backside on the bench. Enter Scout. His new physical therapist, who like Easton, is living in the shadow of her father’s legacy. First meets, witty banter and the push – pull begins. Easton HAS to rehab his arm and Scout has to prove herself and meet the deadline given by the team. But with all those hours with her hands on THAT body, things heat up.

I think what I loved most about Easton and Scouts relationship was how all in Easton was. He wasn’t over the top in outpouring his feelings, but his inner musing let you know exactly what he wanted. I loved his fight to keep her fear at bay – how he didn’t struggle with understanding her. The drama in this book is more about Scout’s feelings and the plot that is playing in the background – I loved being able to focus on these two – while the story played out.

There is a hint of the feels I had when I first experienced K. Bromberg – a little taste of Colton lingered in the air. I think it was Easton’s cockiness and swagger. I loved it. I am not a huge fan of heroines, it’s really hard to find one that I can honestly say I love – but Scout comes close. I loved the shoe being on the other foot, the girl being the one with one foot out the door – ready to run. I can’t imagine the stress that Scout was under, toss in the attention of Easton... well that’s enough to put any woman off her A game.

The Player was an instant hit! K. Bromberg knocks it out of the park, delivering a love affair that has the pages burning up. I can’t wait for The Catch. Like, I literally CANNOT wait. I need this book right now.

Kristy definitely knocked it out of the park with this one. Easton is a mixture of sexy and sweet and I couldn't get enough of him. Scout was hard and closed off but they make the perfect pair. I can't wait to read the next one.

Well Mrs. Bromberg you did not disappoint. I didn't think you could write anything that would top or compare to the Driven series but after reading this book it's definitely a tie. It will be very hard to wait the 5 days for the conclusion to this book. But let me just say like always you did an amazing job and I absolutely loved this book!! Thanks once again for a fantastic read!!

Mmmmmmmm. Who's doesn't love a baseball player? If you like a man in uniform, If you want relatable, down to earth characters, if you want a man who knows what he wants and how to get it but also has a soft side than this is a great book for you. Kristy has done it again. She has a way of making you feel what the characters are feeling and I love that. Very relatable and such touching back stories, it's hard not to get emotional. I love her writing style and I cannot WAIT to see where this series ends up.
