This whole trilogy was such an amazing thing to get captured in.
Everything about it keeps you stuck until its finished.
It grabs ahold of your heart and just makes you.... feel.
Ahhh, it was truly amazing to read.

I loved the plot, although I could kind of predict what was going to happen. My friend currently has this book because I told her how good the trilogy is, so she decided to read it and she's loving the final book. She hasn't finished yet! I would read the series again!

At first, it was quite slow that not so interesting at the beginning of the 3rd book. I guess mundane life is like that. But it picks back up around 1/3 or 1/2 of the way in, and the ending makes it so worth it!

My least favorite of the series. Ut still decent. It felt to me like the author kind of gave up toward the end of the book and closed this series off abruptly....but maybe that's because I wanted the story to continue longer

Compared to the others I just felt like this book was lacking and the plot was weak. It was all about her and deciding on colleges and how it was going to affect her relationship. I actually took more interest in her step mom to be than lara jean. Overall it was a decent read I suppose

This last book was something special! I really felt every emotion I felt back when I graduated high school! I was very pleased with the ending! It tied in perfectly and the unanswered parts of the story are what makes it more special because that's how life is.. you don't know how it's gonna end up or what new memories you're gonna make because right now you only have today and the memories you've already made. UGH CANT YOU TELL I LOVED IT??? Definitely would recommend to anyone who is looking for something to make them feel young dumb and in love again (haha)

A wonderful conclusion to a trilogy I never knew I needed! I think it’s rare for a standalone to grow into a duology and then a trilogy and not feel like filler. I appreciated Lara Jean’s growth, seeing her different struggles, and seeing parts of my high school life reflected in hers. It made me think about my sister too and when I left for college, how she might have felt. The added plot of her dad’s wedding was welcome and while I wasn’t surprised at the trajectory of Lara Jean’s path to college I think it’s so important to show how many different experiences there are; your first choice doesn’t always work out but that doesn’t mean the second choice is lesser or worse. Life twists and turns, and you end up where you are supposed to in the end. I also thought that for most of the book, Peter was the BEST! So adorable, such a cute boyfriend, just genuinely caring and thoughtful. I loved his friendship with Kitty and I loved his relationship with Lara Jean. It hit some bumps but that’s what I like about Jenny Han’s writing- she shows that even the perfect relationships aren’t perfect. I wish Margot’s boyfriend had made another appearance and the ending felt a little… anticlimactic but I’m happy to imagine where Lara Jean’s life will end up in the future.

The third, and final, installment in Han's series about Lara Jean, this book truly ties the bow on the beautiful gift of a well written series. Han reminds us of our first loves, bringing us back to high school and those pivotal decisions we made about our future. Can high school love really last? How long is forever? I can remember being in high school, feeling exactly what Lara Jean feels, and being able to relive it though a book has been splendid. Love, whether it lasts or not, is a beautiful thing to behold. Han has brought us through this series with warm hearts and a smile at the thought of young love and all of its possibilities.

An incredibly lackluster story and ending to what was an absolutely amazing and beloved duology. The first two books i LOVED and laughed and cried over, i basically fell in love with Peter K as Lara Jean did, which is so riveting to relive a feeling of first love through a book. It was pretty incredible.

But this was just disappointing. i agree with the other reviews that say not much happens, and it feels like, what is the point of this story. it outlines an ending for the characters, but ultimately it just feels like filler and it's just not as rich and weighty as the first two novels, which had what felt like much better and deeper characterization and plot points.

sigh. i mean, i read it all the way through, so it wasn't that bad, but i wish i had listened to the reviewers who said you should just stop at the 2nd book. Ugh but the problem with us all being book nerds is that it's impossible to resist the ending to a beloved series, even if you know it's bad!!! gah. best of luck to you all...

Jenny Han bids farewell to her protagonist Lara Jean in the final book in her To All the Boys I Loved Before series. In Always and Forever, Lara Jean the beloved protagonist is on the brink of adulthood as the end of her senior year approaches. The last year of Lara Jean’s life has been a whirlwind of new and exciting events. She’s been dating Peter Kavinsky for a year, her dad has reentered the dating scene, and her college plans are all but set in stone. Then the unthinkable happens and Lara Jean is forced to rethink her entire future. Suddenly things that she was so sure about like her future relationship with Peter and the university she’s going to attend are no longer a guarantee. Lara Jean must decide who she is going to be, how this will affect her decisions for her future, and who she is able to make room for and who she isn’t.

Lara Jean has always been one of my favorite contemporary protagonists. She doesn’t stand out with her bold personality or wow with her unrivaled genius. She enjoys baking, spending time with her family, and volunteering at a local retirement home. As much as I admire ambitious and sometimes over-the-top characters, Lara Jean has always been more my speed. Sometimes she lacks confidence and has to be pushed out if her comfort zone and these two things make her instantly relatable In Always and Forever, Lara Jean, Lara Jean discovers that even the best laid plans cannot account for life just happening. Lara Jean’s greatest comfort is that her life is predictable. When it isn’t, she will grab on to her hobbies like baking and scrap-booking as a way to feel like she’s in control again. I’m so happy that Lara Jean got to a place where she began making decisions based on what was best for her and her own wants rather than what others were pressuring her to do. The decision she ultimately makes might be Lara Jean’s greatest act of courage in the entire trilogy.

Always and Forever, Lara Jean was a bittersweet novel. I’ve come to really love Lara Jean and her entire world. I love how important her family has always been to her. Lara Jean has always presented herself and her family like a package deal. Her father has been raising her and her sisters alone since her mother’s unexpected passing. The biggest constants in her life have been her wise older sister Margot and her rambunctious little sister Kitty. Han not only taken us on Lara Jean’s journey to maturity, but we also got to see her sisters grow up some as well and see the evolution of their sisterly bond. Kitty will always be a favorite if mine with her I-know-what-I-want attitude, but I loved that we got a Margot arc involving the Covey’s expanding family. Ms. Rothschild was a delightful addition to this unit. How each of the girls felt about their father dating again was very faithful to who these characters are at their core.

Always and Forever, Lara Jean unexpectedly hit me with a wave of nostalgia, reminding me of those uncertain and exciting final days of high school. With this final book Jenny Han has solidified Lara Jean and the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before as a character and series that will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Plot: When I first heard that Han wrote a surprise epilogue for the To All the Boys I've Loved Before series, I was both excited and nervous. Excited because there would be more of Lara Jean and her family and friends. Nervous because Han damn near destroyed me with P.S. I Still Love You. Always and Forever, Lara Jean was bittersweet because senior year is a transformative year for most people and Lara Jean was no exception. Personally, I think Lara Jean met her biggest challenges in this book and her growth was very evident.

Characters: Lara Jean has always been an endearing character to me, maybe it's because she's really a 70-year-old grandma and I can relate. She had many big decisions to make during her last semester in school and it was good to see Lara Jean sweat a little bit. Her relationship with Peter K was just as precious as it was in To All the Boys I've Loved Before with the added stress of senior year and making long-term decisions. Peter and Laura Jean had some real moments and some scenes made me cry; however, the ending left me happy-crying. Besides Peter K, Lara Jean had a lot of changes in her home life as well. Her father was ready to propose to his girlfriend and Margot was feeling left out of the family. And Kitty. Oh, precious Kitty. Kitty grew up in a blink of an eye and while she and Lara Jean still had their teasing relationship, it was clear that there was a subtle change. As always, it was Lara Jean's family that made this series stand out and I'm most saddened to say goodbye to the Song girls.

Worldbuilding: While Always and Forever, Lara Jean physically took place in Virginia, the true world existed in the concept of Senior Year. The majority of the scenes were at school or high school parties. Han wrote the High School Experience with a nostalgic lens that made this book and Lara Jean's journey more charming.

Short N Sweet: This ending was everything I could have hoped for. I'll miss Lara Jean.

We left off Lara Jean and things are good. She is in her senior year with everything going great from school, prom, trips, her father finally found someone who makes him happy again, and oh yeah her boyfriend Peter is amazing. She has plans to go to her dream college which is close enough she'll be home on weekends never going far from the family. She has everything planned out. Until the unexpected happens and the girl who doesn't like change has to rethink her future plans that cause her head and her heart to go in different directions.

So Lara Jean and Peter found their way back to one another and now they are stronger than ever. Peter is so amazing. Seriously I had my doubts at one point but he gets Lara Jean in a way others don't. He can tell when she needs an out or just needs some support. He knows how much her family means to her and works to be there for them too and to me that just makes him for me. They are so normal and sweet. High school sweet hearts who have so much going for them and wanting to make it work but as life starts to pull them in different directions they have to work harder to keep to their plans. So many couples in high school face the option of doing long distance or ending things and it felt so normal to have this struggle.

The struggle of course is only compounded by their own unique circumstances. Lara Jean never saw herself leaving home. She loved her family and wants to continue to be super close with them and be there for her youngest sisters firsts as she grows up. I loved that the idea of going to a college further away was a struggle but not just over a boy. While love can make it a tough decision it had more going for it. She has her family to think about and her own levels of comfort. She would be somewhere completely new all alone and that can be scary for anyone. Lara Jean is a lover for sure but she has much more going for her and considers everything.

The in and out of the sisters and how they are dealing as life continues on with Margo coming to visit and seeing all that has changed. Family dynamics change as new people come and go from our lives. I think this was a beautifully rounded story about the every changing moments of our lives and the choices we make giving the risks, struggles, and rewards of it all. It was so full of love, heart break, friendship, excitement, and growth. Lara Jean and Peter have come a long way. He has really been a catalyst for her to grow into the woman she was meant to become. Seeing the world through her eyes was so much fun and experiencing all the huge senior moments with her was icing on the cake!

This was a wonderful heartfelt series I just adore. I was so happy I could listen to all of them pretty quickly without waiting. I was happy to connect with Lara Jean and her crazy passionate life! I am even more thrilled that I finished them before the movie comes out as I keep seeing trailers for it pop up on all my social media! Now I can sit back and enjoy in a different format!

I love all the characters in this series. Jenny Han is wonderful at painting life and all its emotions! The only disappointing parts were political. Why a Hillary Clinton shirt? Why stress the liberal college? Part of me is amused to see how far into debt she will be after college, and where that expensive degree will take her. I would have rather had the book focus on WHAT Lara wanted to go to school for rather than the WHERE. But that is just old lady wisdom. I guess every author feels the need to include details that stress their personal beliefs, but I have found the best books focus on what we have in common and go from there.

I mean what can I say about this amazing conclusion! I was hesitant to read it because I liked the way book 2 ended but I'm so glad I did because this was a great continuation to Lara Jean's story. It was cute and sweet. There are decisions she has to make that I think a lot of us have had to make or will have to make. Highly recommended!

I cried. This series is amazing because it's based off a realistic situation. When I was Lara Jean's age, I had to think about the same decisions. My mother told me not to date in High school and that if I did not to follow a boy to college. To go and do whatever I wanted to do. So If I had not taken my mother's advice I would have been in the same situation as LJ. The way she analyzes her decisions is exactly how any other young adult would. Because this story's plot/situation is real and not far fetched, it is even more endearing to our hearts. I love that we got to grow through LJ 's and Peter's relationship with them. The author has announced that this is LJ's last book but I would love to see kitty with a couple of her own books and maybe in Kitty's book we'd get to see in LJ and Peter last for a lifetime. I also loved the glimpses into Dan and Trina's love life. Also Margo's newest Beau was quite interesting. This is a series I'll probably revisit and re-read in a few years. It's just that good. :)

Anyone who has ever existed should read this series! You'll immediately fall in love with the character and think about them long after you have turned the last page. In my opinion, a world without Peter Kavinsky would be a very sad world indeed and I think Lara Jean would agree with me. Jenny Han is, in my opinion, one of the greatest contemporary authors out there, this book alone proves that fact and I will continue to read anything she writes! I'd give this book a 10/10 stars and would suggest it to anyone who needs a good read.
