This book impacted my current relationship greatly! It taught me to just sit back and be taken care of (for once in my life) in a relationship. Instead of thinking "What can I do tonight to get this guy to like me?" before a date, I changed my thinking and ask myself "I wonder what he'll do for me tonight, where will he take me, what will we talk about that interests me, how will he try to make me feel special? What should I wear that makes ME feel good? I wonder if I'LL feel a stronger spark tonight because of how he takes care of me? I wonder if I like this guy, maybe I'll figure it out more tonight...this is exciting!" And when he did these things I simply said, I like that, thank you...no need to return any favors.

I also recommend "Getting to I Do" by Pat Allen. Reading them together has helped me navigate my current relationship and I've never felt happier and more relaxed dating!

Because I thought it would be cheesey. It was actually a really great book that was a nice read after the foundation of "The Rules". But this book gives very clear loving picture of what it's like to date from both male and female perspective, so it doesn't feel as harsh as The Rules, even though I still love that book, too.

By detailing the different needs of men and women during sex, you learn to break your selfish tendencies and do the right thing - focus on giving pleasure to your spouse. This will ultimately enhance your sex experience, and this will follow through to all facets of your relationship, both in and out of the bedroom. His ideas are not at all unpleasant or distasteful. His concepts ring true. This should be required reading for all couples prior to marriage.

This book was an easy read. It outlined the differences between men and women and then explained how we can adjust to work together in order to interact with each other better. Loved it and so did all my friends.

very practical in giving us Venus the martians view of the bedroom. i made sure my husband wasn't offended in me buying the book. just wanted to spice or improve our love life after 13 yrs of marriage. Unlike most marriages, my husband works the midnight shifts, so getting together can be a challenge.
