I really enjoyed reading this book on Hashimoto's disease. Not only did it educate me on the disease but it also introduced me to some great ways to help my diet and to become healthier. I myself, do not suffer from Hashimoto's but I do not a few people who do. The book informs you on the disease and offers meal ideas for a paleo diet that will help your symptoms of Hashimoto's. The book offers a 3 day cleanse meal plan and a 31 day paleo meal plan, along with several other extra recipes and a reintroduction of other foods meal plan. The information in the book was very easy to understand and the meal ideas sound delicious. My only problem with the meal plans is I do not like seafood. The recipes and meal plans do not offer any substitutions for seafood and there are quite a few recipes that involve seafood. I will however keep many of the other recipes in mind for me and my family because they sound so delicious! I received this book at promotional price in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

The book contains many recipesThe Autoimmune Paleo Cookbook: An Allergen-Free Approach to Managing Chronic Illness that include eggs and almond flour both of which should not be used by someone on an autoimmune diet. I would not recommend this book. Try The Autoimmune Paleo Cookbook: An Allergen-Free Approach to Managing Chronic Illness

Awful recipes for newly diagnosed thyroid patients & someone converting from homemade pancakes& muffins, etc. Coconut flour, the main substitute flour in the recipes, is NOT the an easy flour to adapt to if you are a foodie. The taste & texture is awful! There are MUCH better flour substitutes & better Paleo / Gluten Free Recipes online on Pinterest & others. We are foodies -- that's NO fast food or prepackaged foods-- but good quality baked goods & international main dishes made from scratch.

I'm confused. I was diagnosed recently with Hashimotos. I understand that the best diet for this affliction is:

dairy free
nut and seed free
nightshade free (tomatoes, eggplant, etc)
egg free
free of high hypoglycemic foods like bananas and mangoes
free of brassica food like broccoli, cauliflower and brussel sprouts
iodine free

Yet, these ingredients are within every recipe of this book.

I received this book an exchange of my honest unbiased review..First of all the cover on this book looks amazing. The Hashimoto's cookbook is suitable for those with Hashimoto's disease and others trying to eat healthy. The beginning explains how following the recipes can help treat Hashimoto's disease. Food can do wonders for the body or create problems. The book does give a thorough overview of the disease itself. However there are some amazing recipes also within. There are meals plans that I know would definitely help me get into better shape and lose a few pounds. The mixed berry banana smoothie has many healthy ingredients and is very tasty - no chalky taste like some smoothies can turn out. There is even a recipe for banana muffins which is one of my favorite's I will a little skeptical about using coconut flour but in the end it really was delicious.

I would encourage those with this condition or just trying to eat healthier to purchase this book and try out. There is so much detail and direction.

So far from reading this book, I am already really enjoying her story and how well it relates to my life.

It took me a while to decide on this book because I was reading the reviews. I noticed the negative ones stated that she doesn't follow the AIP diet. But she states at the very beginning of her book that she is following a modified version. I think the AIP diet is so restrictive that this is a really great place to start. It is more Paleo based but for where I am at right now, I am not going to give everything up. I want to investigate some trigger foods but I am just starting out. So far the book has already given me encouragement and hope that I can make healthy, positive changes to help with my Hashimoto's and stop having the symptoms. I haven't got far enough into it to review how well the eating plan works but I will once I get started with the food change.

Again I think this is more for someone just starting out and learning how to eliminate the trigger foods. I bought a copy on Ibooks and so far it is working great.

I didn't anything about Hashimotos thyroid disease but after reading about it and then after googling it it's definitely an eye opener! This cookbook shines light on the disease and helps you learn to eat better to help you lose weight and live healthier. There's many different kinds of recipes some catch your eye and some don't but they tell you different types of foods and ingredients to use that you wouldn't normally use and to substitute others that's much healthier.I can't wait to cook up a few for my family so we can learn to eat better and all be much healthier.Even if you don't have the Hashimotos thyroid disease I would highly recommend this cookbook to help change your lifestyle.

The Hashimoto's cookbook and action plan is a great book to give or purchase for yourself in you suffer from Hashimoto's thyroids, and thyroids disease. The author explains in her book on how she suffered from it and how she over came her disease and tells the reader who may suffer from it, on how to change their eating habits and what to avoid that can flare up their thyroid. She gives a detailed list on what food to avoid, and what and what not to eat. You have to be very strict about what you eat or the thyroiditis will return. Overall a great book to learn from if a loved one yu yourself suffer from this disease. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Although when I purchased this book, I knew nothing of this condition. The amount of educational information was unlimited. The 31 days to eliminate toxins drew my attention to this book. I am not sure I would make it all 31 but I will try to get there. I will began with this 3 day cleanse, which I am looking forward to this weekend. At first I thought this would be overwhelming because often times we are afraid of the different vegetables at the market. This book gives you a month long shopping list. Although I will not be doing an entire month, I have picked certain recipes that I will be preparing.

This book was awesome. The author was very knowledgeable about Hashimoto's and other symptoms that you would never imagine that can be a part of the spectrum. I had no idea that you could use food to help you with Hashimoto's and I learned which foods to avoid also. Like I said, awesome book!!!
