This book was a great find -- it had everything a mystery thriller needs to keep you turning pages and more! Excellent writing, great characters, twists, turns, surprises, and beachfront. What more could you want in a book? I felt like I was on the island and had become virtual friends with the characters even when the tasks of life dragged me away from the words on the screen (I read the Kindle version). Read this one!

I enjoyed reading this book. It was interesting to see the story from Billy and then Jessica's point of view. There were no dull or slow parts. I could hardly put it down until I finished it. It was very suspenseful and mysterious until the end. I would highly recommend reading this book.

This book grabbed me right from the beginning and I could not put it down! Fast paced, with good character development. The main character is a very interesting 11 year old, and the story is expertly woven around him. Loved it so much, I am reading the author's second book.
Dragons Love Tacos Book and Toy Set :: The Knight and the Dragon (Paperstar Book) :: The Art of Dragon Age: Inquisition :: There's No Such Thing as a Dragon :: Girl in the Water (Civilian Personnel Recovery Unit Book 3)

The author perfectly captures the character of the protagonist, Billy, on the last edge of childhood -- the opposite sex is just starting to become intriguing and interests turn into obsessions. The plot is full of twists and turns. Highly recommended.

I took a break from reading nonfiction and saw this book. I read it in two nights because I couldn't put it down! The author makes you feel like you are right there with the characters, and keeps you on the edge of your seat (or your bed!) . Engaging, suspenseful and nail biting towards the end! I highly recommend this read!

The book started off in the eyes of Billy, lasted this way for a while and then switched to another point of view suddenly. I like the ending and the hero’s of the story but I kind of lost interest while reading.

Great book. Easy read. Interesting twists and turns. I think this author has a lot of potential and I am looking forward to his next book! Even though I am not, I think that young adults would enjoy this book or even older teenagers who are beginning to read more.

Really enjoyed the story. Initially, I thought it may be a YA book because first character speaking is an 11 year old. His name is Billy and he was interesting and kept me going. A good mystery. Thank you! =^..^= =^..^=

This book held my attention, a feat not easily accomplished!! The character of Billy and the fact that the book is written from his point of view, allow for the twists and turns to flow smoothly and believable. I heartily recommend this book. Great beach book!

Normally I can usually figure out who the killer is pretty quickly, not so with this book. It kept me guessing until the end. Billy was such a lovable young man adventurous, curious , but you had to feel somewhat sorry for him being confused with his relationship with his Dad who was moody and angry . A must read if you ask me !

Very entertaining read with interesting characters and plot development. It gets a bit clumsy and confusing at the denouement with some slipping into and out of characters' aliases. I highly recommend this novel to anyone that enjoys mystery/thriller stories.

I enjoyed reading this page turner. I liked the female detective's character in that she was driven to discover the truth. I could not figure out how this story would end and that's just the way I like it!

The book is very suspenseful with lots of plot twists. There are many great characters that you really can connect with and find yourself pulling for them in their journeys. Like a good book should, you find yourself there; enjoying the scenery around you, holding your breath threw scenes seeing the words in action.

I read through The Things You Find in Rockpools in one day. I could not put it down. It starts a little slow told by an 11 year old boy, but once the twists start they don’t stop until the end! It’s the first book I’ve read from this author and I am impressed. Definitely going to check out his other two books now.

WOW! Just finished this fantastic book. I am adding Mr Dunnett to my favorite author list. Fast paced, murder, twists, and told from a curious kid's point of view. I read it in two sittings, not wanting to put it down. Highly recommend.

This book was fantastic! I could not put it down. I love psychological thrillers!! I have an 11 year old son so I related to Billy and understood him. It has such a twist at the end that actually made me tear up! I can’t wait to read another book by Gregg Dunnett.

Fast moving with many surprises along the way. The young boy, Billy, is my favorite. The writer’s use of vocabulary and phraseology in relation to the 11 year old character was perfect. I hated for the book to end. Gregg Dunnett has risen to the top of my list of favorite authors!

I began reading this book looking forward to it. Many reviews and most were positive. I truly loved the character Billy. He made the book fun. I have to say I enjoyed reading this very much. I was actually disappointed when it was done. I intend on reading another book by the same author. Thank you Gregg Dunnett for a good time.

Really enjoyed this! I was a bit confused by some of the British terms when it was supposed to be in the US. But overall, I enjoyed the point of view from which it was written. And it kept me guessing all along!

This story develops in such an interesting manner that I found myself making more time than usual to get back and continue the story. I read quite a bit and this is undeniably the best character I have followed in awhile..Billy. I was sad to finish the book but look forward to Gregg's next release. so well done!

Very thrilling. Usually I can figure out endings before they happen, but this one came as a complete surprise. The first person narrative of Billy was really good and I enjoyed seeing the story from his point of view. If you love a good thriller, this is one that will not disappoint!

As stated by other readers, the book starts a little slow but really picks up. The book keeps you guessing until the end as to who the "bad guy" is. Glad it popped up on my Facebook feed and will be reading the other two books by this author.
