Riley woke up with a horrible hangover from Tequila. Then she remember the Phoenix had thrown a birthday party for their head enforcer Tao. Riley had come to the pack six months ago for sanctuary with two orphaned shifter - a cheetah cub who was two named Dexter and a viper who was four named Savannah. Riley was a lone raven shifter who refused to give the Phoenix pack a reason she wasn’t with a flock. Even then and despite the fact she hadn’t accepted or decline their offer to join the pack. And still treated Riley like she was pack. Or most of them did. Riley rarely slept the whole night through. Then Riley realized she was sleeping next to Tao Lukas the head enforcer. Worse off the had sex and a lot of it through the night and Tao didn’t even like Riley even though he may want her and acted possessive of her. Worse off Riley’s raven wanted Tao with a primitive intensity since Riley had met Tao. Tao was fearless, brutally blunt, action oriented and forceful. Tao had no time for patience or diplomacy. Riley admired Tao’s refusal to tailor his judgements to placate others. Riley had super bad judgement when it came to men. Riley told Tao they needed to forget the night before had ever happened and went into the bathroom Tao charged into the bathroom and told Riley she didn’t want to forget last night that she wanted to do it over and over and so did he. Tao also said he would not let Riley forget the night before. At first Tao didn’t like Riley but over time Riley had charmed both Tao and his wolf. And earned her respect with her wit, fearlessness, and the protectiveness she displayed for the young. Riley kept most people at an emotional distance. Tao knew Riley argued with him, snorted at him, challenged him, and poked him. Tao asked riley to let him in just a little and lat what they had play out and she surprised Tao by saying okay. Riley’s uncles were having a surprise anniversary party shot for them by Riley’s flock Riley’s good friend Lucy- was also the alpha’s daughter- showed up to ask Riley to please attend as they uncles would be so happy then and Riley finally agreed but so did Tao. Lucy’s uncle’s- ethan and Max- had mated before she was born but when her parents died when Riley was four and her uncles stepped right in to raise her. Riley had left her flock four years ago and hadn’t been back.
I loved this story and everything about it. A slightly different slant- a wolf shifter and a raven shifter being true mates also how Riley brought to the pack A cheetah cub and a young viper and all in one wolf pack and loved it. I missed sleep reading this story I just didn’t want to put this down. Two settings and I was done. Never lost my interest for a second. I enjoyed this and everything about it. I loved how Tao’s and Riley’s relation grew as time went on. I loved how the pack excepted Riley and Dexter and Savannah. There was nothing to complain about I have a new favorite shifter book. I loved the characters and the ins and outs and action in this story and I highly recommend.

Though this is the 6th book in a well-established series, the storyline is inclusive enough to stand on its own. Enemies to lovers relationships are always fun to watch unfold and this couple certain provides plenty of entertainment-vocally and sexually. I’m glad Wright decided to go with Riley’s story next. I’ve been waiting to know more about her since first meeting her during Savage Urges. Riley is a raven shifter who left her flock for reasons and ends up in the Phoenix Pack by way of Makenna Wray. Strong, intelligent, loyal, and delightfully snarky, Riley fits in perfectly with this pack with her playful ways and deadly skills. Her two kids-Dexter and Savannah-are quite funny with their little quirks and habits.
Though I wasn’t too keen on Tao at first, he’s been rather quiet in the background, I soon realized he was a perfect match for Riley. A grumpy dominant through and through, he has a way of cutting through the artifice and telling you exactly how it feels. A bit rude and crude at times, he does what he wants when he wants with one hundred percent focus and precision. Riley infuriates him, annoys him, confounds him, and tempts him like no other. He gives her plenty of room to grow but refuses to allow her to shut him out like she does the others.
I love that Wright’s PNRs are so modern, sexy, and fun. There aren’t any of the strict and obviously misogynistic rules in here regarding females, different species fraternization, or mating that you find in some of the other shifter stories. The males and females are equals in every way and while the males may devolve into some alpha melodramatic moments when they find the one they want to be with, there are lines they know they can’t cross and still live to talk about it. The females in here aren’t pushovers and don’t put up with anyone’s crap.
Two intriguing storylines intertwine with the romance, using Riley’s past and an external source to expand the character base and strengthen what is already in play arc wise. I was a little shocked at how easily Riley and Tao fall into a relationship after we are told of Tao’s antagonism towards Riley. Riley has some misgivings when they wake up in bed together but Tao basically just tells her to deal and she does. The fiery chemistry between them does help to create a more believable venture. Their attraction for one another is seen and felt in every scene they appear in; encouraged by some seriously steamy and bold love scenes. I love a couple who has fun in and out of bed and this couple definitely does.
I did have some issues. The two plotlines were weak and not as developed as some seen in previous installments. There were just too many questions left unanswered and it was hard to get involved with either one as most of the investigations were done off screen. I wish we had been given a bit more information and about the Raven shifters. Wright stayed rather vague about them as a whole. There were also some sexual aspects that were not sexy. I’m also tired of Greta. Her time spent as the series antagonist has gone from mildly amusing to irritating. She's like an albatross hanging off this series' neck.
The ending comes at us hard and fast as the pack is attacked on multiple fronts and Tao and Riley have to fight to the death to protect the pack and each other. All in all, Wright continues to entertain with this series and despite my issues, I’ll still recommend these as enjoyable fast reads with sexy and snarky heroes and heroines who kick ass and always willing to cross the line for those they love.

A highly entertaining, romantic suspense that's a definite MUST read! I absolutely love this series, and can't get enough of it. With the unique storyline, amazing characters that are easy to love, lots of humor and hilarious banter that will have you cracking up laughing, intense situations, danger, and intriguing twists, this emotional roller-coaster of a story will have you hooked from beginning to end. Another fantastic book, and great addition to this phenomenal series!
Tao and Riley both have been damaged by awful things from their pasts, which is why they both have a difficult time trusting others, or letting new people get close. Although they have both had a secret attraction towards the other for a while now, all it takes is one wild night for their passions to come unleashed. When Riley tries to write it off as a one night stand, Tao refuses to allow them to revert back to the way they were. Things start getting interesting when her old flock request that she return, which of course Tao insists on going with her.
When her past comes back with a vengeance, can Tao protect them both from the unknown source? When things take a dangerous turn, the Phoenix Pack decides to get involved since their pack members are in danger, but will they be able to figure out who's behind it all? With another dangerous person also trying to get their alpha female to help him, is it all related, or is there more going on than they know? Will the pack be able to keep everyone safe until they finally figure out who's behind everything? You'll have to read it to find out!
Like the rest of the books in the series, this story is a perfect blend of love, humor, loyalty, mystery, and suspense. This and The Mercury Pack are my favorite shifter series. It's not necessary to read both series to understand what's going on, but they are connected. I highly suggest that you start this series from the beginning, as well as read The Mercury Pack series. You'll get to read fantastic stories, connect with amazing characters, learn more about each couple, the connection between the packs, and the dynamics of them as well. You won't be disappointed!
I strongly recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.

This was another great addition to the Phoenix Pack series. I want to start with, that you should definitely read the first five books in the series to understand what is going on. This book is about Riley and Tao. Riley is a raven shifter who has been living with the Phoenix pack, and Tao is the head enforcer for the pack. Tao does not trust Riley, and Riley is hiding secrets. At first glance, it seems that these two shifters cannot stand each other, but there is more to it than meets the eye. Riley is hilarious with her made up facts and tendency to steal shiny objects. Tao is an alpha male and he always gets what he wants. These two are perfect together. There was drama, suspense, intrigue, and of course romance. I would definitely recommend this book, and cannot wait until the next book!

As a huge Suzanne Wright fan I tend to read every book of hers that I come across. So when I seen and grabbed Fierce Obsessions from Netgalley I did a little happy dance. When I seen it was Tao's book I did a happy squeal. Like always Suzanne Wright delivered a great read that made me laugh out loud and kept me happy for hours. I have been wanting Tao's book for a while now. I have loved him, Ryan, and Dom since book 1. Now I just need Dom's book and all will be right in my world. I wouldn't mind Trick's book too. I can't wait to see if Trick ends up mated to a male or female.
Tao was Tao. I already loved him. As a reader of this series I have had many books to get to know Tao and fall in love with him. He was just as great in this book as he was in the others. Strong, outspoken, fiercely protective, loyal, and sexy. Riley was great too. She was funny, laid back, had a sassy mouth, was an awesome fighter, at times a little closed off, but protective of those she loved. Riley and Tao together had me laughing so hard. They picked on and fought with each other like foreplay. I thought it was hilarious that Riley would steal Tao's things and make up random statistics. They had a great relationship build up and a strong connection. The passion was of course great because Suzanne Wright knows how to write some smokin' hot smexy time.
I really loved getting to catch up with all the past couples and the kids. Trey and Taryn are of course my all time favorite couple of the series still, but they are just so epic. I enjoyed Riley's uncles. I kinda wanted them to join the Phoenix pack too. I really loved the kids Dex and Savannah. They just have such cute personalities. There was plenty of action in this book to keep it from getting boring. I really loved that Riley was kicking butt with the best of them. Overall a great addition to this series. I can't wait for the next book. Here's hoping it's Dom.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Tao and Riley are awesome together. They remind me of Tarin and Trey with their grumpy, gruff, funny, and sarcastic responses. After reading some of the reviews, I couldn't believe people were surprised at their chemistry. In the previous books, you could feel it simmering.
After waking up hungover from the night before, Tao and Riley find themselves in bed together after a wild and crazy night of sex. As they try to pretend that this is nothing more than sex, Riley has to go back home for a visit. There we learn more about her past, her flock, and an incident that occurred that caused her to leave. (Don't mean to be a spoiler, but for those who have issues with mass murder, be advised that this topic is reviewed in the book). As with any group the Phoenix or Mercury pack come across, you have someone out to kill Riley and cause trouble while she visits. The only thing I didn't get was why they waited so long to seek revenge. Anywho- her uncles and a few friends are funny and keep us entertained, but soon they realize it's safer to return home.
Once back at home, we can catch up with the gang and of course listen Greta's new insults, watch the kids continue to wreck havoc and mess with Greta, but we also get to see Tao and his parents interact. While dealing with all of this, the danger begins to bring Tao and Riley closer as they realize these protective instincts they have may be so much more.
Suzanne pairs everyone up so nicely in her books. She finds the perfect balance for each pair and you enjoy watching them stumble around trying to make since of what's happening. Throw in some good old fashion danger and you've got yourself another awesome book.
Great job Ms. Wright..personally I'm dying to see what you have in store for Dominic..this should be interesting.

This book had everything I love – a spunky female lead, smutty goodness, and an engaging mystery.
Riley is the quirky raven shifter who brought two lovable misfit children to the Phoenix Pack. She and Tao have been dancing around each other since she got there. What might have looked like animosity has quickly grown into a burning desire. These two are *fabulous* together, especially because nothing is ever predictable.
Tao has done his best to sneak up on the raven shifter, but eventually a drunken night and a phone call from Riley’s past puts him in a position to push his luck. Who knew that a trip to Riley’s old home would involve an attempt on their life and the lives of those around them? I guess it should have been expected from this unpredictable duo.
Caught between trying to find a killer and coming to grips with her past, Riley also manages to let Tao in. I can’t say enough good things about this pair! They are now officially my favorite in the series. I wish there was more story from them – I could read a whole other book just for the witty banter.

Man wolves are some passionate creatures I tell you. Those th8ngs can have sex anywhere and everywhere, all the time, multiple times. They just don't get tired. Anyway, I enjoyed the book as I do all in the series. I didn't know who the shooter was either and didn't expect it could be the person it was. It's surprising and usually I would have guessed correctly by the beginning but kudos for keeping me in suspense.
I will say I was confused at some point because I think I read this book out of order. I think I was supposed to start at the Mercury pack either before 5 or after and wasn't supposed to start again until book 6. Anyway, it sounded like it had some pieces of some battle that happened and the Mercury pack book because I didn't ever remember coming across them otherwise.
All in all, I enjoyed this book in this series as I do them all and can't wait to read the next one.

Fierce Obsession is yet another winner in the Phoenix Pack series, these stories just keep getting better and better and I never tire of them.
This time it's Tao and Rileys story, we've met Tao before as head enforcer of the Phoenix pack, a serious taciturn individual who was not happy when Riley joined the pack, not trusting her or her reasons for being there.
Everything turns on it's head for Tao when he realises he can't stop the feelings he has for Riley, they get together after both getting completely 'hammered' at a party and fall into bed together, Tao realises the next morning that there is no going back from how he feels. RIley a raven shifter has a trust issues aplenty but also realises how important Tao is to her.
A great tale, we revisit many members of the pack, lots of action and past revelations make for a thoroughly engrossing read
Thanks to net galley and publisher for opportunity to review an ARC of this book and give my honest opinion.

Fierce Obsessions, The Phoenix pack book 6 by Suzanne Wright is for me a 5 star read.
Riley Porter is a lone raven shifter who went to the Phoenix pack six months previously to ask for sanctuary for her and 2 young shifters, the pack welcome her in even though she's keeping her past hidden from them. Riley is a dominant shifter and she won't take any nonsense from anyone but somehow Tao has managed to get under her skin.
Tao Lukas is the head enforcer for the Phoenix pack and when he saw Riley he wanted her badly but argued with his alpha's and the rest of his pack to get her to leave, but when danger comes after Riley, Tao must do everything in his power to keep her safe.
I am a huge fan of Suzanne Wrights books, especially the stories from the Phoenix pack and this book is probably my favourite so far, I love the chemistry that Riley and Tao have even though they fight it all the way.

Strong story once again. Tao and Riley wake up hungover and in bed together. So right off the bat we feel the connection and sexual chemistry. There were moments in the middle where the book didn't hold my attention but I pushed through. Still, overall, I enjoyed this book.
There were some laugh out loud moments between Riley and Greta and there was a mystery to solve with Riley's old flock. No matter what gets thrown the Phoenix Pack's way they band together and overcome. Trick and Dominic are our final bachelors and I'm looking forward to more. Well done.

I absolutely loved this story. Suzanne Wright did a fantastic job crafting a story that was humorous, sexy, and thrilling. This book was one of my favorite of the series. I adored Tao and Riley together and they fit perfectly with the other strong couples in the Phoenix Pack. The climax of the story was AH-MAY-ZING. I was biting my nails listening to it. And speaking of listening, Jill Renfield was superb, as usual.

Riley's life is complicated. Tao is another layer to an already complicated life. Riley is hiding several secrets and has misled some of the pack on why she is where she is. All is revealed in this book.
Tao is very suspicious of Riley, then as he gets to know her and uncover her secrets they manage to fall in love, build trust and protect the pack from outside threats.

This series is well written and the characters are engaging. Tao and Riley make a cute couple and it's worth a read. Not as funny as some of her other books. Savannah is brilliant though. I must say, the bird shifter thing is not very exciting. I definitely prefer the wolves.

Looking for shifter, suspense and some snark? Well you found it and a whole lot more. Suzanne Wright has done it again! (Was there ever any doubt!) Loved this book as I have all her others in this series. I also love that she is opening her readers up for what we all can imagine will happen in Zander's book. (Some of us already have been given a clue about his mate ... Sorry I am not telling lol) One piece of advice I will offer is read this series in order, which can translate to find a reading order since the Mercury pack books fit in between the Phoenix pack books. I wish I could read slower, but know that I will re-read this series in November before the next book releases. (It is already out for pre-order) Oh and I Love, Love, Loved this book!!!

The characters are interesting and well rounded. The story line in interesting as well. As I tend to be picky the infrequent occasions of wrong tense or word can be disconcerting but this author was better than many I have read.

Great addition to the series! Thought it was a refreshing change, with an extraordinary heroine, no other than a raven shifter adopted by a wolf pack. To me the heroes of the series are all very similar so the novels are as good as their heroines, who are the more three dimensional characters. Loved the story, its humor and the twists that distinguishes the novel from its predecessors. I didn't give it five stars because there are some errors in the text that drive me crazy. In my opinion a good 4.5.

Good add to the series. Tao is protective of his family and do not like new people. Riley got under his skin and once he had her, he was determined not to let her go. It does not matter if they are true mates or not, she is his and no one will come between them.

Love ? this series! Also love the fact that it's on kindle unlimited. I get to know and love awesome authors and their writing. This book was a continuing of a great story. Love the humor and characters even though the stories are all the same.

Good addition to the series. The books in this series pretty much follow the same formula but it works. I have enjoyed them all. This book did have a slightly different feel to it, that could have been because Riley is a bird shifter. Loved getting to know Tao better and the scenes with the little ones- Dexter and Savannah. Can't wait to see who's up next and for new pups.

Love Riley and Tao together. I became interested in Riley's character in book 2 and was hoping to see her with one of the guys. Mrs. Wright does an excellent job of giving each member of the pack their own story while still prominently including all the characters from previous books. Here's hoping that Ivy is the next member to join the pack, they could use a witch.

I loved this newest release in the Phoenix pack! The characters always pull you in and make you love them. I had some issues with the plot itself but it would give away spoilers. There are just some threads not tied off that bother me. All in all another hit from the awesome Ms. Wright!

Another great read by one of my ALL time favorite author! Fun & sassy heroines who aren't afraid to speak their mind. Add in a sexy, uber alpha possessive male and you have a whole bunch of goodness!

This is a great addition to the series. The story is interesting, the back stories for the main characters is perfect. It has the same feel as the previous books but the characters are their own personalities. It does not feel like there have been this many books in the series because they are all so different from each other.

Riley Porter has been welcomed into the Phoenix pack after seeking sanctuary for her and her two young charges there. While things started out a little rocky with the packs Head Enforcer, Tao Lukas, they have finally started to get along together... in bed...
When Riley decides to return to her former flock for a visit and the past she left behind starts to turn into a new danger. But she, Tao and the rest of her honorary pack are ready to take on the unknown threat...
I loved Riley's personality, she is hilarious and doesn't let Tao get away with much. Tao is very honest about not wanting to mate, but when he and Riley finally connect, he isn't stubborn about the bond they start to share.
This was a good read. As book number six in the Phoenix Pack series, Tao and Riley's story was focused on a new threat from the previous books and we were introduced to some new characters. I loved seeing our old favorites from the previous books and all of the returning characters with their crazy personality quirks.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

Another great one from Suzanne, love the Phoenix pack and can never get enough of them. Tao and Riley what can you say about them, Suzanne did them real good. Love this couple, fought their feelings but who can fight fate even though they didn't think it was for them. Can't wait for the next installment of these wolves.????

Tao gets his obsession, namely Riley. But the road to get there takes some finesse on his part. How do you trick the trickster into giving them what you want? Some funny lines on Rileys end, love Wright's humour!

Suzanne's writing is awesome! Her books are never disappointing. I knew Tao's book would be good they all are. This one had a ton of mystery and action along with an awesome true mating. I'm am really excited for Trick and Dominick's books. Since Trick is bisexual I'm hoping for a double matting!

I love to see how the series progresses. Normally the first book is ahard act to follow and that's true for this series. I'm super excited every time a new book comes out. Ms. Wright doesn't slack off on her writing all of the books are excellent.
Please RateFierce Obsessions (The Phoenix Pack Book 6)
Fierce Obsessions starts with a bang, well, technically it starts with the after effects of a drunk-out-of-your-mind kind of bang. Riley wants to forget it ever happened but Tao has a different idea.
Within the first 3% messaged Sparkles and Lily thrilled that I’d hit the dirty talking alphahole motherlode. I could wax poetic about how freaking awesome Tao is for days but I’ll just say he’s hot, sexy, awesome, sneaky, and absolutely perfect for Riley. He played her like a fiddle, in more ways than one.
I’ve wanted to know more about Riley since Makenna’s story. The fact she’s a raven is cool enough, but the mystery surrounding her and the way she was so protective over Savannah and Dexter intrigued me. Nothing about Riley disappointed and I was thrilled she was such a good match for Tao. Her story was heartbreaking and nothing like I thought it would be. When the action moved over to her old flock, things took on a whodunit type vibe with fingers pointing everywhere. I did enjoy meeting Riley’s uncles, but I gotta say, the rest of her flock were less than impressive.
Along with the mystery going on over at Raven’s flock, a mobster wants Taryn to perform an impossible task and gets offended when she doesn’t comply. Although interesting, as a side story it felt unneeded and I kept wanting to wave it away when it came up. When things heated up, I think it took away from the final resolution to the mystery and the ensuing battle.
My other little niggling annoyance was Greta. Her antics are becoming more annoying than anything else and just aren’t funny anymore. Since she regularly targets Savannah and Dexter, I’m finding I have less and less patience with her and also wonder why the men put up with it. Her excuse for targeting a child didn’t hold water for me at all.
Even with my two little issues, I loved this book and absolutely devoured it. Both Tao and Riley were everything I wanted them to be. Fierce Obsession was fun, suspenseful and hotter than Hades. I’m hoping Dominic is next, but it very well could be Trick. Either way, I’ll be thrilled.
