This book was simply incredible, well thought out and kept drawing me in even further!
I would recommend this book to every single one of my friends and then some! I hope to see this family continued in furniture books especially Phee and Liv's stories

Three girls abandoned by a heartless mother who really ought to know better but these young women are strong and loving and somehow have managed to survive. Now add in the fact that each one is half shifter, half human and each has a completely different father and you get the idea that this is a story like no other out there. A lion, a tiger and a bear , oh yes these girls make this a very interesting story indeed.
Tilly is the eldest sister and runs Bless Your Tart bakery and as she is half were lion never expected her inner pussycat to start purring when the local wolf alpha catches her scent .Mitchell is not afraid of anything or anyone but the idea that he might not be able to claim Tilly is not one he can contemplate. So what if she's feline? Who cares that she comes with a ready made family? Mitchell knows what he wants and it's Tilly! Now he just has to convince her!
Now who doesn't love a lioness who will use her teeth and claws to protect her cubs? Add in what is a true alpha male and the tension just rackets up there. This author doesn't stop there though as it's a very funny story with lots of naughty dialogue and amusing situations. I really liked the oh so capable heroine and the uber hot Mitchell is certainly determined to get to second base and beyond! If honest I felt the first half of the book was quite a light read ( which doesn't always appeal to me ) filled with sexy shenanigans and then as I continued reading it took on much greater depth. Tilly has gone through so much to protect her sisters and unfortunately her journey isn't quite over yet but she's not alone in having a past that still continues to hurt. Yes we learn more about Mitchell's rise to become alpha and it really helped to flesh out both characters. Add in a supporting cast that really captured my imagination, seriously hilarious banter oh and the most unusual cookies ever to get baked and I can well see why so many readers clamour for this authors work.
Funny, sexy and a great start to a new series. I suspect the second sister Liv might feature next but it's Phoebes book that I'm really looking forward to . If you don't mind an outrageous tale filled with steam that has a couple overcoming so many obstacles it seems hopeless at times then Im sure you will enjoy this book. I loved that they found happiness in each other's arms but there's more to come and a certain absent mother who is anything but motherly!

I don't usually bother to review books that disappoint me, but the total lack of 1-star and 2-star reviews bothered me.

I stopped reading about 1/3 of the way through, when I realized that I did not like any of the supporting characters: sisters, friends, pack, bystanders, etc.

The main character acts like a mother to her two younger sisters. One is so ungrateful that she doesn't phone, visit, talk, or even write an occasional letter. The other is selfish, rebellious and hostile; yet no one ever chastises her or calls her on her constant bad behavior. For example, she acts inappropriately at work, tries to chase away her sister's boyfriend, and typifies teen rebellion. The leading lady's BFF treats men like poorly valued toys, and is likewise actively hostile to the only man who has shown interest in the leading lady in years. Cause and effect? Seems likely. His pack are no better, hating her instantly,.

My bottom line: the voluminous 5-star reviews are overblown.

Loved this book!!!! Funny! Sexy! Witty banter! LOVED this book! Loved the sister Phee. She has snark down to an art form. Loved how strong and capable the heroine, Tilly, was. Loved how protective the hero, Mitchell, was. He was everything a hero should be. He supported the heroine, defended her, and most importantly loved her. I loved the interaction between all of the characters. I loved how one of the nasty characters gets redeemed. (I do agree with another reviewer. The language was a little more “salty” than Celia’s regular books. Even so, I have to say this book is one of my favorites by her. ) I just loved the whole book. What else can I say? Wonderful book! Can’t wait for the sisters to get their own books. (Received an ARC. This did not effect my review in any way.) I have read many, many books (over 30) by Celia Kyle. She is one of my favorite authors. I can ALWAYS count on an enjoyable time when I sit down to read one of her books. This book followed that rule and then some. Did I say I LOVE this book? If not… I LOVE THIS BOOK!!! Other books I can highly recommend by Celia are: anything in the Ridgeville series (she sells them individually or at a savings in bundles) and ‘No Ifs, Ands, or Bears About It’ (Truly a LOL book) and if you are looking for something a little more serious… the Alpha Marked series should hit the spot. Happy reading!

I really loved the storyline, it was awesome, heartbreaking, funny, sad........but what seems to be a current trend in paranormal stories these days is waaaaaay too many in depth, overly descriptive sex scenes. Like sex scenes that last for 2 chapters. I read the whole book fairly quickly, even though it was a longer book, because I skipped through over half the book flipping through said sex scenes. I'm certainly not a prude by any means, and I love a well written love scene. But sometimes they go just say too far. I understand they're part animal, but still it seems to be more brutal than loving. And it never did address what happened to the young, scared female that Seth shoved down trying to address an issue with the Alpha. What was her issue? Why was she so scared? Who was she? Unanswered. I read a lot of Celia Kyle's work, and will continue to do so. I just wish she would cut back a little on the gratuitous sex scenes.

"Once Upon A Time, there was a cruel, heartless woman who had three sweet, beautiful little girls, all by different fathers. Tilly, a were lion, Liv, a were tiger, and Phee, a were bear. The evil woman left the two baby girls in Tilly’s care when Tilly was still very young, going off for day to drink and party, leaving the girls always hungry, often cold, and very much alone. With three growing, hungry were tummies to fill, brave Tilly quit school to work 18 and 20 hour days at two jobs, one in a stop-and-rob and one as a waitress. The days and nights were long and hard, leaving Tilly exhausted, constantly worried, and all three often hungry and destitute when the wicked woman snuck back around to their rusted out, leaky hovel in a tacky trailer park and stole all of the little family’s meager food and money. Then, when Tilly turned eighteen, the monster came back around again, signing the care of the two youngest over to Tilly, giving her all the responsibility for her baby sisters care. As if she didn’t have that already. . . at least now, it was legal, and family services couldn’t come around and separate the three girls. Who else would want the responsibility of raising two little half-were girls but their loving older sister who would do anything to keep her little family together? Then, something horrific happened – but out of horror came a bit of money, and the girls moved to the tiny were town of Wilder, where they should have been safe. But Still, the wicked, wicked woman snuck back around, stealing the food from her daughter’s mouths and the rent money from Tilly’s pockets. Then, something happens at the bakery Tilly worked so hard to build all on her own, to feed her little family and keep them safe . . . "

Ms. Kyle, I want to hug you and squeeze you and bake you chocolate cakes and cookies and tell you every day how much I appreciate this book. You brave woman. You ripped the “mommies are all sugar and spice and everything nice” blinders off and told it like it is – and, well, see the whole hug you and squeeze you thing above. Tilly, Liv and Phee are wonderful characters, having to learn early on the only way to thrive is by loving and supporting one another. Each of the girls have their own issues with the creatures who share their skins, each suffers in their own way from the abuse and abandonment of the woman who donated half their DNA and makes their lives so filled with the silence of the other shoe waiting to drop. And each is a strong and well-crafted character, damaged yes, but unbroken. You are, indeed, awesomesauce!!

This is, of course, a paranormal romance in Ms. Kyle’s signature style. She writes PR stories that have actual stories to them – stories of pain and fear, jealousy and bigotry, violence - and tons of compassion. And some really squishy sex scenes. Oh, and lots of F-bombs, so if you are one of those who gets their panties in a twist over these things? Well, skip this book and forgo the sanctimonious, preachy one-star reviews. This book isn’t for you. It is for those of us who like all the things Ms. Kyle is famous for and does so very well. I, for one, am giving it ten-stars (OK, OK, sites only allow five stars, but it is the thought that counts, right?) Ms. Kyle’s brave rendition of what more families than anyone likes to admit are really like gains her my respect and thanks. Of course, the hottie-hottness was a bonus as well (grin.)

I received this book directly from Ms. Kyle in exchange for a realistic review. Realistically? I will go back and read it again and again. It has a permanent place in my “read on a rainy day” shelf!

For bakery owner, and half-werelion Tilly McBride protecting her sister is everything to her, which means even protecting them from their own mother.

On a routine morning at her bakery Tilly has to call a client to tell him his cookie order will be a little late, when the phone is answered at the other end she is speechless. The voice on the other end of the line is makes all her girly parts go wild.

It isn't even 10 minutes after she's abruptly hangs up that the man from the other end of the line shows up at the bakery to meet the her. Alpha werewolf Mitchell Blake can't believe the voice on the other end of the line made his inner wolf sit up and howl. He has to go check her out for himself.

While the animal attraction between Mitchell and Tilly couldn't be hotter, these two have some big obstacles to get around, not the least of which cats and dogs don't get on very well and Tilly's mother is up to another blackmail scheme to get more money out of Tilly and Mitchell won't let the fly.

Amongst the laughter and the tears in Celia Kyle's new full length novel is a story with a lot meat. As the two lead characters make their way through the first days of getting to know each other they have a big fight on their hands coming up. Members of Mitchell's pack don't like the idea of their alpha mating with a cat and Tilly's got her hands full trying to protect her younger sister Phoebe.

Once again through it all, Celia Kyle lets her sense of humor shine through. Mitchell interactions between Phoebe and Tilly's best friend Emma, as well as watching the two navigate their new relationship keeps readers entertained through to the end of the book. This is a fast-based book that is an excellent weekend read for shifter fans.

On one last quick note: the cover is awesome, love the sexy models and the lion is just so perfect.
(I receive this book from the author with the intension that I would write an honest review.)

SPOILER ALERT - Mitchell is Alpha of a wolf pack who finds his mate in an unexpected package - a lioness shifter who has a human mother. Although Mitchell had a rough past, killing his father after he found he'd beaten his mother, taking over and cleaning out most of the bad actions of the pack his father had encouraged, Tilly had a mother who repeatedly slept with various shifters, leaving Tilly responsible for her younger siblings (Liv, a tiger, and Phoebe, a bear) from the time she was a young teen and then leaving completely when Tilly hit 18, leaving a power of attorney for the sisters but not funds, food or decent housing. Verity, the mother, even returns on a regular basis to take food and money from the sisters. Mitchell's pack has some very dysfunctional members who threaten Tilly but, in the end, the pack helps save Phoebe from her mother's machinations and her absentee father's attack. One last hold out in the pack tries to challenge Mitchell when the pack meets to celebrate their mating and Tilly winds up talking him into submitting when Mitchell is ready to kill him if he doesn't submit. I enjoyed the dialogue, the banter and the crazy sisterhood and friends. It's also interesting to hear how Mitchell reacts to a much louder household with teenage hormones and dealing with the 17-year-old Phoebe's talk of sex. I really appreciated this book, even reading quotes out loud to my husband, who really thinks anything shifter is silly.... especially when Tilly tells Seth that "all that other crap you did just make me wanna kill you, bury you, and s*** on your grave because that's what cats do." I love a shifter book with romance, humor and wacky threats!

I loved "Roaring for Him" from the start. I thought it would be a good read. The book was a very pleasant surprise. Tilly (half shape-shifter lion) and Mitchell (alpha werewolf) had chemistry. There were no games about their attraction to each other. Tilly and Mitchell knew they were made for each other from the start. The waiting to formalize their mating was driving them both crazy. Add to the mix their own insecurities, bigoted pack members, abusive parents, teenagers and snarky friends, you get a roller-coaster of laughs and drama. I didn't want to put it down. There were several places where the story could have ended and been good but Ms. Kyle continued to develop the characters in the book taking it from average to outstanding. The characters are well rounded and their interactions are what you would expect with friends and family.

I love strong alpha males. I have never been fond of weak wimpy heroines. Tilly is definitely not weak nor wimpy. She is fearless and defends the weaker. She commits and follows through with her actions. She is the perfect balance to Mitchell's alpha male.

"Roaring for Him" is the first book in the Wicked in Wilder Series. I have never been fond of reading the first in a series without having immediate access to the rest of the series. Ms. Kyle did not leave us with a cliff hanger. She did however, leave us with a lot of questions, hints of relationships and some mystery.

I strongly recommend this book and am so looking forward to the next one.

I was given this book to read in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This is another solid erotic shifter romance for Celia Kyle. CK has always been a bit hit or miss with me because of her short erotic stories. I think I just need to stick with her longer stories where I can enjoy the anticipation and really get to love her characters. And I loved Tilly. Mitchell was pretty lovable too. It was enjoyable to see Tilly learn to lean on someone else and realize she didn't have to carry all the weight on her shoulders. Watching Alpha Mitchell be brought low by a mouthy 17 year old Phee couldn't have been more amusing. I really only had two issues with the book. 1. The whole scenario with Phee and the bear alphas seemed a bit muddled, but to be honest it was very late when I was reading so I'm not sure how much of that issue was a plot issue or it might have been a too tired brain. 2. I wasn't a fan of the voyeuristic quality of the claiming. Admittedly voyeurism isn't one of my top kinks to read but I can go with it if it fits the story, considering Tilly's initial reluctance and Mitchell's attitude towards keeping Tilly all to himself, it didn't work for me at all. One thing I do know after reading this book, is I'll be picking up the next books in the series. I HAVE to know what sent Liv running home. When will Phee figure out who her mate is? Will human Emma get a shifter of her own? Well done Ms. Kyle. You've hooked me.

Some people really shouldn't be allowed to reproduce and multiply if they don't plan to actually parent their children. Just a suggestion. I totally agree with Liv and Phoebe that Tilly should have let Mitchell take out Verity( their egg donor/incuabtor). I wholeheartedly stand by that, it would have saved a lot of time and upset. Talk about a mix of species amongst the sisters: A lion, a tiger, and a bear. Really, that's not cool. I enjoyed this book, it had a smokin hot alpha with a big ego, there was a lot of growling and biting, a challenge, and lots of naughty language about cookies. I never though about cookies like that. I commend Tilly for stepping up to the plate and taking care of her sisters, because their mom was a deadbeat, who had the nerve to pop in and out demanding money and food from them. I would have given Verity something alright. That Phee was a trip, but I would be very leery if I had a younger sister some of those things, we'd definitely be having a serious talk about what kind of friends she had and what they were into. I was suspicious at the end when Kade came sneaking out of his room, I thought maybe he had come out the room with someone else, but he was trying to get out of a shopping trip-oh okay. I was glad that things worked out with his mate Darcy, I wasn't too sure they'd make it. I'm just curious about what comes next for the other sisters.

Really enjoyed the strong female that took care of her sisters and the strong male who would do anything for her. It was a humorous story, love the little sister, she is hilarious, can't wait to see who she ends up with. Minus one star for a developing quirk of mine. I am really all the meaningless sex the males and females (mostly males) indulge in. If they know that a mate is waiting why sully themselves that way. I don't get why it is hot to know that they have had so many other person's bodily fluids on and in them. I honestly would prefer someone for whom the act is meaningful and didn't undervalue themselves by spreading their bodily fluids casually around, that they don't consider the act a simple body function. I guess that has been simmering for me to vent so much. But I did enjoy the book and would have loved if it wasn't for that.

An awesome new shifter series starts with this book. I recommend you don't read this in public, because if you are not giggling you will be sweating. That might be embarrassing.
Tilly has been the sole support for her two younger sisters since their mother finally left when Tilly was eighteen. Her mother is a were ho, all three girls have different were fathers none of which have hung around.
When Tilly has to phone the local werewolf pack house about a problem with an order of cookies , she is immediately attracted to the voice she hears. But when the owner of that voice shows up at her bakery a little while later that attraction turns to pure lust.
Mitchell is the Alpha of the Wilder wolf pack. Once he sets his eyes on the curvy owner of the bakery he knows she is his. The fact that she is a cat could cause him some problems.
The girls have faced many battles over the years , and they still have more to come. Will Mitchell be able to protect them.? Will Tilly allow anyone to help.?.
This book is really good fun. I was laughing and crying, and it's hot enough to melt your kindle.

Family is what this story is all about. The family we love and would - quite literally - kill for. And the family we would prefer just - well - to kill. The family we are given and the family we adopt. This story starts with three sisters: Tilly - the matriarch, Phee - the snarky crazy, but we still love you teenager and Liv - the overachieving college student. Having raised her sisters since she herself was just a child, Tilly has always put her sisters first, as any mother, except her own of course, would do. Things go topsy turvy when half werelion Tilly falls for the town Alpha Mitchell, a wolf shifter, by the way. Mitchell fights to win over Tilly while fighting his own pack's prejudices and the girls' heartless mother. A deadly twist brings everyone together, but threatens the life of one of the family.

A fun sexy read that is typical of Miss Celia Kyle. Never missing the snark, it comes to life in the most unexpected but fabulous character Phee. The story starts out light, some might say slow, but lending the groundwork for the quality dramatic and in depth plot. Well done Ms. Kyle. I'm looking forward to more.

Tilly and Mitchell...Can a feline and a canine mating have a happily ever after? You betcha! Oh, there will be bumps and lumps, snarling and snapping and misunderstandings along the way, but there's just no denying the lust and love these characters share. Celia Kyle is one of my favorite writers. She fills a book with substantive situations that make the story flow. Her main characters are well developed. Her secondary characters are interesting and leaves the reader looking forward to learning more about them. I hope that Olivia and Phoebe, Tully's sisters, soon have their own book. I really enjoyed this book and think that you will, too.

What a great read… Celia Kyle does it again with her brand of kickass heroines, who bite first and then ask questions. I enjoyed this book so much it gave us a lot of sex, attitude, drama, and much more.

Tilly is a hot BBW Half-werelion with a quick mouth and even bigger attitude. Left by their mother she has taken charge over her two younger sisters. By opening a bakery shop called “Bless Your Tart” she has been able to provide them with everything they’ve needed. Alpha Mitchell Blake is HOT, HOT, HOT and we know this because; by just hearing his voice on the phone Tilly wets her panties. There is no need to describe him at all just know that he is all man and knows exactly how to get Tilly’s juices flowing. They have to deal with hatred from his pack, her mother’s betrayal, his best friend’s wife, and her outspoken younger sister.

Roaring for Him (Wicked in Wilder # 1)
by Celia Kyle

Tilly is half were-lion and owns Bless Your Tart. Her mother left one night after giving Tilly power of attorney to raise both of her sisters and Tilly has done just that for the last several years. Even though it can be very frustrating, her sisters and the bakery are what she lives for. She doesn't need anything else. Except a pushy Alpha wolf thinks differently.

Mitchell is the Alpha of the Wilder Pack. And what he wants, he gets.....usually. Tilly isn't being very cooperative and then there is a member of his pack that just doesn't want Tilly in the picture at all. When Tilly's mother shows up and starts causing problems, Mitchell knows he has his work cut out for him. This Alpha is ready for his mate and the sisters he will gain along with her. Better get out of his way or you are going to pay a heavy price.

Can Tilly McBride, a curvy, independent and strong half-werelioness and Mitchell Blake, a hunky, possessive, protective werewolf that happens to be THE ALPHA of the Wilder pack be true mates? If you've read any of Celia Kyles deliciously witty paranormal romances, you know the answer is YES. But ... their road to happiness isn't an easy one when you throw in Tilly's half-werebear and half-weretiger younger sisters, Tilly's blackmailing "slutbag" mother and a few bigoted werewolves that refuse to allow their Alpha to mate with a cat. I can't give away any more of the story but I was thoroughly entertained. As with most of Celia's books, I'm still laughing and can't wait for the next book in the series. Need I say that cookies with white icing will never be the same. Totally "Awesomesauce"!!!

Disclosure: I was given an advanced reader copy from the publisher/author for a review.

Tilly has fought for herself and her two sisters. Being half shifters has never been easy. Having a mother who deserted you and being left to raise them on your own is insane. but Tilly has persevered and succeeded with some very difficult times. Mitchell is an Alpha werewolf and he's just scented Tilly! Well actually it happened over the phone but 10 min later he's at her bakery (Bless your tart!) This book is filled with Lion's, Tigers and Bears oh my! Tilly's sister Phee is hilarious, 17 and just a tad hung up on sex! Liv is away at College. The side characters are great and help make the story! Emma is hilarious and her store Lush sounds fantastic! There are prejudices, a lion who keeps running away from her mate and a were wolf who just wants Tilly.
As always I love Celia and her books are fantastic! can't wait for Liv or Phee's story next!

I absolutely love this book! From the very beginning, you feel like you know all the characters. All the characters are true characters, they all are different but they are the type of people you would love to know and hang out with. They are all quirky, and a bit of potty mouth, but along with some dramatic moments, there were plenty of 'laugh out loud' moments. Good thing my husband doesn't mind that.

If you like shifter books, you are going to love this one. You have wolves, lions, tigers, and oh yeah, bears, and the token human or so.

The story was well written, the characters were well thought out. The story line was never boring or slow.

I am really looking forward to more books by Celia Kyle, especially if it is more about Tilly, Liv, or Phee.

Now I am going to read ALL her books. When you find a good author, who you like their style, you can't get enough of them.

FINALLY......... a shifter romance that wasn’t consumed with insta-love. The hero and heroine actually developed a relationship and got to know one another. Even the secondary characters had strong and relatable personalities. The plot was fast paced and action packed and I LOVED it. The only question I have now is, WHERE IS BOOK 2 IN THIS SERIES? This book was published a long time ago and I still see no other books in the series?

If you are in the mood for a great shifter romance with a solid plot and characters this one won't let you down.
