The most beautiful, riveting, perfect book I've ever read. Just. That. Good. This was my first book by Leylah and she paints pictures with her words! I was THERE in Africa, I WENT on the journey. I wish there were more than 5 stars because this book deserves like 100.

Lovelovelove it! EPIC! One of my top reads of 2017! This is why I love reading books: romance, drama/ heartbreaking, funny, paranormal you're going to see/live in the world of the author here I was in Africa in the Serengethi. Love Rodel, Jack, Scholastica, Goma and even Bahati. Her writing beautiful, fluently from the cover till the last page. One click her next one!

Breathtaking story of two captavating people overcoming epic loses. I loved how these story took me through so many high and lows. Nothing was overdone and each character was very enchanting.
While this story left me wanting MORE the Epilogue truly wrapped up the loose ends.
I look forward to curly Up with many more novels by Ms. Attar.

Loved this book, especially on Audible. I'm so against spoilers that there's not much to say except I've read so many formula type books lately that this one was a wonderful surprise. One word of warning, don't miss a second of the epilogue. It ties up things you didn't even realize you needed or wanted to know.

Exquisite. Heartbreaking. Sugar for the soul.
Mists of the Serengeti is a story that will stay with you forever, twinging your heart and memories whenever a warm breeze blows and the mention of Africa filters into your ears — a testament to Leylah's phenomenal writing and storytelling ability.

This book..... wow. Just WOW. Leylah Attar has a way for her readers to feel..well...everything. I felt soooo much with this book. I felt the heartbreak, the anger, the hurt, the angst!! And also I felt the fun, the laughs, the amusement, the sassiness. I have no words but to say: this is an amazing book. Read it!

Thank you for doing justice to my country and representing it really well from the Maasai culture to the movement of the animals during the great migration to the suffering of albino kids and also the corrupt politics and weaving a beautiful love story. Reading this book on my way from Europe today reminded me of how much I miss how and someone can give it so much life. I had always loved your books and this is way better than 53 letters - thank you. I can't wait to spend some time home next year. This gave me that longing even more even though I was already planning on taking a few friends to enjoy what we have to offer.

Leylah Attar has once again bludgeoned me with her words. This story, these characters will stay with me always. This is Leylah's fourth book and she just keeps giving us her best with each novel.

I'm overwhelmed with this story. Its beauty and ugly all at once. Some scenes totally moved me beyond words. I always treasure stories that move me and this one certaily does. Jack, Ro, Lily, Mo, Goma, Bahiti, you will stay in my heart. This is a must read!

Beautifully written. It gives this sense of peace. Nothing is rushed, everything in its time. Jack is an emotional man but not unflatteringly so. I usually find myself skimming a lot of books where scenes are described, I didn't skim much of this book and if I did, it was simply because I was impatient. Well done.

There are not enough words to describe how beautiful this story is. The writing is exquisite- the imagery it evokes is like a painting that you want to live it. The characters have depth and purpose. Do not hesitate to one click this magnificent story.

I really enjoyed this book. Leylah Attar has such a beautifully descriptive writing style. The characters were complex and there was real romance while dealing with challenging topics. I plan on reading every book she writes. A keeper.

What an amazing, tragic adventure! I expected a romance/love story & what I got was a whole lot more. This story transports you to Africa and it vast wild & unbelievable practice of superstition & traditions. I could not put this book down! Another hit by Leylah Attar!

Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful stories I've ever read. In reading this book I saw Africa and felt it's beauty and watched a couple fall in love with a once in a lifetime kind of love. This author is amazing!!!

I was disappointed in this story.
I was really hopeful because of all of the positive reviews, but I was really turned off by the fact that, for a novel set in Africa, the story itself was almost completely whitewashed. There was basically only one black secondary character, and he was a goofy dude. I wish that the author had thought to make strong black African characters a larger part of this story. Instead, they were all villains (which I'm trying not to read too hard into).
Second, the plight of albino children seems like such a nuanced and important topic. I wish the author had done more research, or prepared the readers better for how to handle it. I guess it seemed... irresponsible? Like we were told bits and pieces about this cultural phenomenon that is truly awful, but we weren't given much context or much history? The whole thing left me feeling kind of yucky. I completely understand and agree that this tradition is HORRIBLE, but it felt very condescending, very, "look at these backwards, sadistic African witch doctors" without really exploring the topic much deeper.
