Stellaluna

This book kept my young son enthralled night after night. The illustrations are beautifully rich, and there is a small "parallel" story of the mother's search for her baby along the margins. It's a sweet story and the illustrations give a young child a lot to look at.

My daughter was introduced to the movie before we even read the book. But, now that she has the book, she LOVES it too-- maybe even as much as the movie (which she adores and wants to watch again and again). It's not only a sweet story but teaches a great deal about bats/nocturnal animals. We love reading it as part of our bedtime routine as well as throughout the day.

This is a beautiful story about finding your place in the world, the place where you belong. It's about trying to fit in but not fitting in because what you're asked to conform to is simply not right for you. Beautiful illustrations, beautiful writing.

Stellaluna has to be the funniest book I have ever read to kids. I had to stop to gain my composure several times. I was laughing more than the children were. If you want to entertain your kids or buy them a book, get this one. I bet they'll read it over and over again.

The artwork is fantastic; very beautiful, and the characters are so sweet and loving-----it tells us so much about how we can be different but still love each other and enjoy the ways we are the same and the ways we are different. I wish I had had the book when my girls were little---it would have certainly become a family favorite!

Ah, Stellaluna. I love this little book hence the rating of 5 stars. From the reviews you posted this book stood out. Stelluna is the first beautifully wrapped book that I have purchased from the store. The bok is a great read for my children. I would recommend ordering frommazon again and again.
