Robyn Peterman does the absolute best contemporary romantic adult comdies. I love her work with a capital L.

I'm looking forward to the next book in this series, plus her other series 'Handecuffs and Happily Ever Afters'.

I am a very avid reader, especially of the paranormal variety. Ready to Were, is definitively the funniest, best one that I have read yet. It was amazing from start to finish. It has everything from over the top, hilarious characters, a very good mystery plot, bloody battles, steamy sex scenes, and sweet moments between friends, and family that will have you crying happy tears of joy. This wonderful read made me laugh out loud, and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I would recommend this book to everyone who loves a good laugh, mystery, or love story.

I really enjoyed this story. It wasn't overly complicated but was filled with fantastic characters from the cross dressing vampyre, Dwayne to thong wearing Gran ( she was a were after all so she was aging well). Essie thought she had left her home town of Hung far behind when she joined WTF but she is back on a mission. Before she can get anything started she has to face the love of her life and alpha of her pack, Hank, who she left behind a year ago. There are misunderstandings a plenty in this story before all ends well. Take the time to meet these characters and have a laugh. Everyone needs a best friend like Dwayne.

This is one of the sexiest, most interesting and funniest books I have ever read about the paranormal.

I couldn't put it down and can't wait for the sequel.

Essie, the main character, is so lovable, so ditzy and so real - all you want to do is just hug her.

I highly recommend this book and I am definitely going to check out this author's other books - because her writing style is truly contagious...I can't get enough of it.

Thanks Robyn for all those voices in your head. :) You're now one of my favorite authors.

short reviews
I kept seeing this book and kept passing over it, not sure I if wanted to try it. I am glad I did, because it gave me quite a few laughs. That grandma and the gay vampire best friend were too much for me. Grandma was a stripper-extremely disturbing. Dwayne does drag, and blows up dragons with his mind-very cool. Hank, a.k.a. Alpha- (dirty cheater???), ex-fiancee, WTF Agent. Essie has to return home and work with her ex, b/c females from their wolf pack are coming up missing and the only lead is a modeling agency they all worked for.

Essie is a fun, strong heroine that is finding herself and coming into her own. I loved the relationship between her and Hank. She made some decisions that felt a little naive but this was a great first book in the series. I have already bought the second book.

This book had me giggling all the way through! If Janet Evanovich did supernatural, this is what you'd get. A crazy, deadly, smartassed granny; Smartass, excitable, gay vamp; and horny, smartassed, feisty were wolf FBI type agent on a mission to find some missing were models and deal with her former, now extra hot, fiancée. Decent action and a lot of hilariously inappropriate conversations had me giggling and unable to put it down!

There were some funny parts that did make me laugh. Otherwise, though, I'm glad I got this book for free because I wouldn't have paid for it. The gay vampyre is like a hyperactive teenage girl, always squealing. And some of the author's word choices (lady parts, man parts) make it seem like she's a teenager herself, writing on a fanfiction website.

This book was an awesome read. The characters are so well-written you can just imagine Dwayne and Granny having a knitting battle then you can't un-see the image of them going to a drag club. Really liked Hank & Essie storyline and can't wait to read more from this hysterical and hot series.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who likes paranormal romance with a side of humor!! The character of Dwayne was hilarious! I sure hope that he gets to have his own story in another book! I can't wait to read the rest of this series. I hate to say this but your Mom and Mary missed a few of the grammatical errors.

Squeeee! Most fun on a printed page EVER! Hilarious and laugh-out-loud. What could be serious about a were grandma in a boob tube, an outrageously gay vampire who drives a pink Hummer, and a fiendishly sexy missing mate? Add in a little espionage and you have a can’t miss riot! Read it and laugh!

Well, I had fun reading this book. There were plenty of Were shifters of all different animals, a vampire and even some magic. There was plenty of action, a little drama and even a love story. The characters were AwEsOmE. Granny was a hoot! I could not stop laughing at Dwayne's antics. The love scene was maybe an R rating. Overall a very good read. Thanks Robyn Peterman you did a great job. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series!

This book was hilarious and sexy at the same time! So glad I had it to read. Every character, each personality, each chapter came with an experience you want to read on and on and on about. The leads, Essie and Hanks' relationship was toyed with and you wanted to know if true love would overcome the obstacles that were put into play. That's the fun of it all. Great writing! Oh, and I truly loved her BFF Dwayne! Well on to the next.

This is the second series that I have purchased and read/listened to from this author. I can honestly say that there are many times that this author not only brings a smile to my face but makes me laugh out loud! Her writing is not only good but seriously entertaining! Love the audio option!

I have read other books by this author and enjoyed them and when I saw this one it sounded fun. I started it last night and finished it last night. I laughed in many parts of it and was intrigued in others. It is a light hearted read and is fun. If you are looking for a quick and funny read then try this book and author out...it is great

This was such a cute & fun cast of characters. The plot was decent, although I hate when a story starts with a character who causes a lot of pain, hurt & frustration because they don't want to have a single conversation. That reeks of page filler to me and is not a substitute for a good story. This could have been a 4 otherwise. I could have done without the gross blood & guts also. Ok read.

An interesting take on the werewolf book. The story is fun and has some interesting bits but I am not totally sold on the heroine. Some comes off a bit too immature for a kick butt heroine. This book could have been a lot better with a bit more depth to the main character.

The pacing is a bit off with some parts dragging and other parts zipping along too quickly. As a first book it is worth a look and I expect that this series will get better in the next book.

I love Robyn Peterman! She has such a unique way of telling a story. It keeps you intrigued as well as making you step back and say "what the heck." I get so caught up in her stories that I have found myself reading them while I'm at work. Her books are hard to put down.

I loved everything about this book. This book was well written and had it all, humor, a touch of mystery and oh yeah, romance. The characters - well they are truly memorable and I so want to go on more adventures with them.
I have read other books by Robyn Peterman and none have ever been a disappoinment. She crafts a book that you crawl into and go along for the ride with the characters, not just sit on the sideline and watch as it passes by.

I liked this story and all the characters. The fun drag queen best friend especially. I did have a little trouble with the way author presented the reason why Essie ran away from the Sheriff a year ago. It lacked the tension and drama. Otherwise it was a fun read and I liked the twists in the story even though they were a little too easily uncovered. It lacked a bit of suspense.

I enjoyed the quirky bits in this were shifter story mixed with bald gay vampires and tough old grandmas. Most definitely a read that kept me turning the pages just to see what trouble...er...would happen next. Nicely done!

Very funny story, I really enjoyed it. I liked the loyalty of the main male character and the side characters were absolutely hilarious. The author could certainly make a story with just them. The love story was believable enough so you were rooting for them but there wasn't too much wondering whether or not they would ne together. That happened pretty fast. I would recommend if you are in the mood for some light, fun reading.

I loved this book and the characters. Very entertaining and I cannot wait to continue the series. Dewayne is by far my most favorite character although Granny is running a close second!!

Highly recommend this book!!

The title grabbed me, but the story held me! Funny, witty, and sexy! I love the characters and can't wait to read the rest of the series. A gay, cross dressing vampire as a BFF? Who would have thought it? It works perfectly! Essie and Hank are the perfect crime fighting, kick-butt couple! Grannie is hilarious! And I can't wait to get more of Junior the nerd's story. Absolutely giving this all 5 stars and would recommend it to everyone!

Kudos to Robyn Peterman! She has done it again. This book was not only very funny it had a great story that involved romance, intrigue, and murder. This is just a small part of what it had. I am not even going to touch on the WTF or the Council. Of course supernatural creatures of several kinds were involved.
I am definitely adding this to my bookshelf. It is one that can easily be read over a weekend by new or seasoned reader's.

This book was hawt...Hank sounds like a wet dream come true, and Essie is to the perfect blend of non-perfectly perfect!
Granny BS and Dwayne are the icing on the cake!!
Nice smooth read, read it in a couple hours. Great start to an exciting WTF series!!

On assignment to Hung, Georgia, to find out why the female werewolves are going missing, Essie is forced to work with her ex, Hank. Along with her best friend, who happens to be a vampire, and her granny, the former stripper, Essie gets ready for the ride of her life. This book is absolutely awesome!! The characters and locations can't be beat, and the comedy of errors that ensues will have you rolling on the floor laughing.

I've never read this author before and after reading this story, well I'm done. I usually give an author at least two strikes before giving up on them...but after reading the excerpt to the second installment to this series pretty much cinched my decision to move on. The story itself is geared more to adolescents or even pre-teens. It's "G - PG" rated. The plot, drama and action are brutally weak and completely predictable. The one crowning glory to this story is the humor, but it's not enough to carry the story. This book was a freebie offer that I grabbed for a quick two hour read. It's mildly entertaining, but I was groaning out loud throughout at the cheesy dialogue and how quickly the whole plot ended. There is no depth to the characters. There is no solid character descriptions. I don't know about you, but I need visuals to connect and this was lacking. Sorry, but I could never justify recommending this story to anyone.
