For those of us who only know Donald Trump superficialy through the "Apprentice" and through social columns - this book delves into the man and what makes him tick. It will demyystify the reason behind his huge success in the Presidential primary. There are many nuggets to take away from this book that will help us be more successful in whatever we endeavor to accomplish in our live's goals. Donald has my vote.

I've definity made some adjustments to the level of my own ambitions and attitudes after reading this book. For a start I thought that Donald Trump was a blowhard, but I was wrong, he's powerful and confident ...and what's wrong with that? He's rich and happy... Loved the book.. Thanks guys...

Finished Trump's book Think Big. Regardless of what you think of Trump, it is my opinion everyone has lot to learn from the book. I thought it was way better than Art of the Deal, which I disliked.

In Think Big, Trump emphasizes if you want to make it big, you must think big and kick ass. If you think small or unwilling to kick ass (because you are just too damn nice), the real players will kick YOUR ass all day long. I thought Trump also had much in common with Steve Jobs. Both are intuitive gut level decision makers who distrust marketing analytics. Both are determined like hell and work 14+ hr days including weekends. Their success is no accident.

Very good read. Very entertaining, and funny. Really gives a true window into Trump. His business dealings, and most importantly his kindness and integrity.
Liked it a lot
Ordered a second book by Trump, and liked that too.

Interesting read. This book is written by both Donald Trump and by Bill Zanker (founder of The Leaning Annex). Each chapter has Donald's take, then a view from Zanker on the same topic. Each is followed with a short summary of the chapter. The book was originally written in 2009 and definitely shows that Trump hasn't changed his position on topics over the past 7 years, and his personality seems the same and appears to have been written in his voice. It does give a better insight into his way of thinking in business and explains several rumors heard about him over the years. He doesn't hesitate to use names which allows the reader to get a very vivid picture of what he's talking about. Definitely worth the $2 spent. Trump appears to be a ruthless businessman, but he's also full of words of encouragement. Glad I took the time to read it. One star deducted because it needs another round of edits.

What Donald Trump says is true! Animals kill for food, people kill for sport! Realize that people will try to take advantage of you! This book was very helpful in Donald Trump is a good closer. In life don't look for trouble but when trouble looks for you sometimes you have to protect your assets! Anyway this is a very good read! I recommend it! Good job! Well done Mr. Trump!

Excellent book, excellent READ. In preparation for getting my consulting business off the ground, I looked at this book as a primer to get me in the "mode" of business-owner/promoter, versus merely being an employee. I was NOT disappointed.

The individual stories, and bullet-point summaries, are excellent. The examples of success being a matter of how you THINK about a problem, or about yourself, are priceless. By taking the advice to "Think BIG," we remove the limitations we subconsciously put upon ourselves, and suddenly we are motivated to meet- and indeed surpass- many of the "limits" we think are in our way.

If you're comfy being a worker-bee in a company, and place maximum value on your safety-net, this is NOT the book for you. If you've grown tired of being that worker-bee (like myself), and want to be introduced to a new way of approaching your life... If you want to take COMMAND of your own life, and reap the rewards, then you really need this book.

Trump kicks your ass with his motivational talks, although I don't agree that you should always screw people back when they screw you, because you may start a chain of screwing if you are not careful.

As usual, Donald is great in the book. Tough, insightful, candid, and maybe even a touch overconfident.. sometimes.. maybe. If you've read his other books it's variations on a theme.

Not sure I see what the value-add of Bill Zanker was. I was like who the F is Bill Zanker. Ending each chapter with this guy's own story was cheesy. IMO, too peppered with his tie-ins for his Learning Annex. Umm, excuse me Bill I bought the book for "Donald Trump", not you.

Think I'll request a partial credit for the # of pages Bill writes. Really detracted from the book for me.

Pros: the book is a straightforward manual for the individual who want success, no less. There is no fluff or fillers.
Trump has this well known conversational style, and he does not adhere to protocol. He seems genuinely interested in assisting any novice to climb the ladder of success. Zanker's take is usually revealing, his short notes are worthy of note. He usually writes the last few paragraphs in each chapter, called Zanker's take.

What this book will do for you, is to tell you what human nature is all about, and why it does not matter! What is most important is who you are, what you love to do, and how you go about doing it to the best of your ability. Read the book!

Cons: the book suffers from lack of sufficient editing. It often reads like a manuscript that was rushed to production. For instance, Zanker kept on talking about that "The Learning Annex", his speaking business, to the extent that it became futile. He never seemed to tire of self-glorification. Trump was by far the better writer. And I am glad I read this book. Read this book if you are politically incorrect and a realist. Over all, the style is warm, eye opening and honest. The take no prisoners approach may please some, and I certainly loved it. It could have been better, but despite all this, it is one of the most remarkable books I have read.

This book is a real eye-opener. Most business books are sugar coated and gently nudge you to step it up. This one is different and gives it to you straight. One particular theme that is present throughout the book is to not get screwed over, and then when someone does try to, get revenge and hit them back 15 times harder. Wow!, right? There are even some warnings in the front of the book that the book is a little gritty. Anyhow, after reading some examples and Donald's explanations, you really realize that many people's lives are ruined because they don't seek revenge when they get screwed. They get a reputation as a pantywaist, which leaves a mark on their back. Now, who can disagree with that? After I read the main chapter about revenge, I reflected on my own experience and could think of at least a few people who lost a fortune because they didn't get revenge. BTW, Trump's not saying to get revenge outside any legal methods.

Besides that, Donald has lot's of other advice that is well worth applying to business and even just life in general. The book is a fun read, and Bill Zanker's input offers some solid advice from a slightly different perspective.

Good read!

Have read this life changing book several times, purchased multiple copies and shared with friends who have businesses similar to mine. It has made us think more courageously and more 'outside the box' in ways that have increased our businesses and made them even more successful. It has also helped me take better control of my personal life - you may not realize how much you allow others to push you around while claiming to be friends with you! READ IT - and learn to think BIG and BEYOND the herd!!

This book easily explains if you just set bigger goals for yourself, you can achieve those big results. It reminded me of a quote I heard the other day. "Fear and faith both require you to believe in something you cannot see. Pick one."

This surprisingly motivating book offers great insight into the way the minds of socially-focused "winners" work. Broken down into theme-based chapters, the reader is taken on a journey through the mind of a highly motivated "winner". The book ensures that its advice resonates with the reader by providing it in true stories. The book does get a bit repetitive at certain points, especially in the chapter which speaks about prenupital agreements, but some skimming strategies easily overcome it. Note that this book isn't necessarily for everyone and seems to be written for (aspiring) entrepreneurs, business leaders and those in other organizationally-focused roles. That being said, if you want to build a great and motivated organization, this book is for you.

This is real American thinking. Think big. You can make a difference. You can do great things. You are not just one of many little peons. You are not a collectivist dummy. You are an amazing piece of work and can do great things if you think big.

I rented an apartment at The Manhattan Suites in Cape Town (South Africa) during the December 2013 Christmas holidays. The apartment owner had this book (amongst others) on his bookshelf, and though I have never really been a Donald Trump fan, this book instantly caught my attention, I picked it up, and in 3 days, I finished this book. It is everything I needed at this stage of my life and career (I am 43, and Black), it gave me encouraging insights, it gave me straight talk which I really needed, and it gave real, applicable direction to help with my current career opportunities and wealth creation aspirations for 2014. I ended up buying the kindle version of the book because it is now mine and I can highlight it, and I could read it in the dark at night. Thank you to the person who owns the Penthouse suite on the 15th floor at the Manhattan in Cape Town, thank you Mr Donald Trump, and thank you Mr Bill Zane. Just what I needed.

OUTSTANDING BOOK ... I highly recommend all that Donald J. Trump said in this book. However, there is a writer who also is quoted at the end of each chapter summarizing what Mr. Trump said. I did not care to read what the writer said. My interest was only learning from Mr. Trump's philosophy and his own experiences. The book was inspirational, instructive, interesting, and with a positive tone that provided ways of going about improving one's own life. Again I highly recommend the book and would buy it again. Thank you.
