So by reading the reviews before actually reading the book I was nervous to read this book because I didnt know how it would turn out. Catherine Hardwicke is someone who I havent seen her work other than Twilight and I wasnt to much in love with how the movie turned out. But I gave it a shot and it was well worth it.
I understand people were upset because it cut it short with a lot of questions unanswered. I get that. But to be fair the book wasnt supposed to be released for another month or so. It just so happened we all got it early. This book had an AMAZING plot. It had great characters and a heroine who grows throughout the story. I was a little disappointed with the way it ended because I wanted to see all the mysteries get unfolded but Im pretty sure this may be a start to a new series with movies to follow. And Im hoping so. I would like to see how they could carry out this plot and make it even bigger. Itd be fun to see. Theres so much you could do with a story like this. Im hoping the questions get answered(although some of them did) and that there will be more to this story. Overall a good read just with an unfinished story...

Knowing that the ending to this book wasn't going to be publicly available until March 14th, 2011, I waited to start reading the book until right beforehand. That way, I didn't have to wait for months to read the ending (I know I'd be very upset if I had to wait so long just to read the final chapter). Anyway, with that being said, I really enjoyed the book in its completeness. The final chapter added a lot to it and answered all the questions I had. Great book, and I can't wait to watch the movie next week! :)

I watched the movie and was unimpressed, however; I decided I'd give the book a chance. It was only after I bought it did I realize that the book was based off of the movie screenplay, not the other way around. There is no ending to this book because they do not want to ruin the movie ending. Please don't waste your money!

Was alittle leary to buy... this book...lots of negative reviews..but was intrigued with the story...
AND I loved it!!! It was a fresh retelling of a beloved bedtime story..
I found it to be a wonderful novelization of the movie (which I also loved) A touching romance, a spine chilling mystery...I found this to be a can't put down read...giving it 5 stars...hope to see new things from this writer soon....

The ending of this book didn't particularly bother me...what bothered me the most was the excessive use of the words "that" (especially where the pet goat is tied up) and "like"....like, like, like. In one place, a sentence is begun on the left page with the word "Massive" and massive is used again, 4-5 words later in the same sentence!
I just read it was due out in January so perhaps they didn't edit it properly and I think that's what it really needs.....a good editing.
I have seen the previews for the movie and the "look" is fantastic. I did enjoy the read and will probably forward it to my granddaughter.
Please editors, do your jobs.

I started reading this book in Barnes and Noble, without the intention of buying it, just trying to kill time. What I wasn't expecting was to fall completely in love with the story! I'm a sucker for a good romance and when it's a spin off of a classic fairytale I'm hooked! The plot has you guessing at every turn. Once you think you know who the Wolf is, you find out you have no idea. I read the entire thing in one night. You can not imagine my suprise, however, when I read the final words. Hoping to FINALLY find out who the Wolf was I was a bit flabbergasted at the abrupt ending. I immediately went online to the website hoping to find some answers and received none! Now I await patiently for either the movie to come out, or for the authors to end my suffering and put the last chapter on the website.

I would definitely recomend this book to anyone. It is targetted for teens, but if you enjoy romance and a bit of intrigue then this book is great for you!

Obviously, people have read the paperback version of this book. However, the release date for both the Kindle and paperback versions is January 25, 2011. I own a Kindle, and after reading the reviews, was under the impression I could obtain the Kindle version earlier, as obviously people had gotten paperback versions. When I ordered it, though, the store informed me that I would receive my Kindle version on January 25!

I am not a happy customer!

Really? "There's no ending"? If anything, the book that I received had a good, sugarcoat ending. After the movie, it's like an alternate ending. So far, this book is really good, and yes, I peeked at the back of the book to see if people were right about the non-existent ending, and it's just fine. I honestly can't wait for the movie to come out :)
