The Collected Short Stories of Louis L'Amour - Volume 1

You want each short story to continue, not because anything is left out, but because there is a story in each avenue of the characters Lous l'Amour could take, but doesn't. Each story very different from the other. GREAT book.

I had previously purchased volumes 3 thru 7 locally but volumes 1 and 2 were not available. I then checked on the store and found volumes 1 and 2 and at a lower price than what I paid locally. The books were delivered quickly and were in excellent condition. Wish I had checked earlier and I would have bought all 7 volumes thru the store

Really brings the Old West into the light of today. Though the characters show up in all the books some with same names others similar in personality there are good guys and good bad guys.The discription of the times really makes me want to ride a horse into the sunset.

These are my husbands favorite books. We have property in North Dakota. The stories are very apt and real. Another thought...an old expression.."those who do not know history, are doomed to repeat it."

Have been reading various western stories since being a kid (child). L. Short, Z. Gray and L. L'amour. L'Amour has always been my favorite. I have visited several areas that he has refered to in his books, while venturing out on my Harley.
