I absolutely love it! I'd recommend it to anyone, especially to students who are graduating and about to enter the work force, so that they don't think life is so easy or if they make one mistake their lives are over.

It's good to know about successful people's lives and what they did to get where they are now and through this book, we have the opportunity to be up close and personal with them.

I hope she writes another one with another group of successful people. I also appreciate that the proceeds from the sales of the book will benefit Scholarship America, a non-profit organization that gives scholarships to deserving students.

Katie doesn't have to do that, but she chose to. This again shows that she is a really nice person. I wish good luck and God's blessings in her future endeavors.

This was a delightful composition of essays, poems, and short stories from some of our most revered people--Some obvious philosophers, like Maya Angelou, and some not so obvious, like Eric Stonestreet. This is not a book you will want to finish quickly, but one to savor slowly, musing on each entry. Thank you, Katie!

Many reviews say it's good for new graduates. Maybe. I graduated from college a while back, but still appreciate the book. If you are stuck in your life personally or professionally, buy this book. When you come across lessons from people that make you blink, ask where you have gone wrong and how adopting that advice will put you on the right path, make you better. Ignore the reviews here that say the book isn't good. It's one of the best books you can buy. Good luck! Great job, Katie!

I respectfully disagree with the two reviews prior to mine. I received this book two days ago and cannot put it down. What an amazingly simple idea....that WORKS! I love that Katie has taken the stories of truly successful people and put them all in one place. Sure, it is repetitively POSITIVE but who couldn't use a dose of that? I loved reading about so many "successful" people and the things they had to overcome to get to the top. I found myself reaching for my highlighter many times over. My favorite quote - right off the bat - was when Katie asks how do you recalculate your route when your internal GPS is broken? So true! Thanks for so much inspiration in one place. Well done Katie!

Absolutely a waste of time. The only saving grace is that the proceeds of the sales of this book goes to some charity. The book has a touching essay from her to start but all fall down to one big messy hair ball afterwards. It's an ill-collated assortment of short notes of varied qualities. Some are outright shallow, most have no style to speak of.

I pre ordered this book and received it on Monday. It's "cute". But the advice is shallow. A lot of platitudes with very little true informational advice. If you are a fan of pop culture I recommend it, but if you are seeking real life advice I would pass.

Sincere! Practical! Inspirational!
If you are on the path to brighten the spark within yourself, read this and see how many others got inspired, found what they needed to do and overcome, to get to where they are on life's journey.

This book really IS the perfect gift for someone graduating from college or even high school! The excerpts range from top executive business people to fun celebrity types AND MORE. It will reach a range of readers from 18 and up. Also anyone aspiring to re-enter the education field or even begin their own business would appreciate this gift to keep them inspired in their new venture! It's a MUST!

Easy to read and understand the key advices. Katie did a wonderful job collecting them, but some of these advices could be moved to an appendix or an website. In summary, I highly recommend to read this book.

It seems like celebrities will put together any kind of book because they know that it will sell to some extent. It is complete garbage. Don't even contemplate reading this book because it is simply a waste of time.
