These books are awesome. Very funny, witty and well constructed. The relationship between Atticus and Oberon is absolutely hilarious. I have found myself laughing out loud on many occasions (even a few tears of laughter as well). I love the Dresden files and this is a worthy addition to that particular genre.

Just love Kevin Hearne. He makes me laugh and think without much melancholy. He is a joy to read. Cannot wait for the next book in this series I will say that he is way out there mixing the religious parthenons. He takes you to other worlds while staying right here on earth. Great fun.

I am consistantly surprised by the antics and characters. Love the fights and of course I'm always white knuckled until they are over. Love, Love, love the Druid( and his big dog too) It's so different from any of the supernatural beings I've read about so far. I'm not finished with the series yet but I can't even believe they are less intense than this one!

Few authors keep you hooked, line, and sinker, and then twisted on the barb. Overall great story telling, flows smoothly... Others have covered the story therein in great detail already so I wouldn't repeat it, but the ending oh god, oh wow, yet sad, but even so still creepy!

I finally gave in and looked up Morrigan's irish myth... in one myth she had three sons Glon, Gaim, and Coscar, wonder if the author intends to explore that path...

enjoy!

I find the characters interesting , most of them people I'd have a drink with. Maybe not Morrigan, but then again.. These are fast paced, humorous, and enjoyable. Great literature?, Gods, no. More like literary potato chips which is why I keep buying the books. Buy, read and enjoy, guaranteed calorie free.

The battle between the Gods of old Norse mythology and Gods of other realms, provides an incredible insight into what may be happening around us in truth. Okay so I exaggerate, but you cannot go but get sucked into Atticus's world. Read it please......the frequent pop culture references alone are worth the price of admission. I just wish each book was longer!

"Ahhhh, is good. Good, very good. Now, listen like thieves."..........
This is another awesome book!!! I was a little apprehensive at first, when I read that much of the story takes place on the plane of Asgard and others... but silly me!! I should have known KH wouldn't let me down!! (I am now a total groupie!) The book's looming question: What's a man's word worth? Atticus and those he cares about will live or die based on the decisions he makes, and his commitment as & to a friend. So while I found this installment to be a bit more thought provoking, it definitely still makes you laugh - out loud!! Although I wish we could have had a little more Oberon, we instead have a motley crew on a mission, with many funny moments, and a very interesting story-telling segment. I wanted to know more about Leif, and was rewarded. In addition, we learn more about Atticus' history. Great stuff!!
Again, this book and series is a fantastic adventure that I can't wait to continue!! Really looking forward to "Tricked"!!!

It's not everyday that an author attempts to combines the genres of modern magic, doomed heroes, and Norse mythology and somehow succeeds brilliantly while sustaining a rich writing style and a compelling plot with moral/philosophical aspects, including the common question of just how far should one go to maintain one's word. I loved the novel. It is definitely worthy of a solid 4 stars.

Another excellent story by Kevin Hearne and still sticking with the same narrator, I love it. I was half way through the book and knew I had to get book four. We lost some valuable characters in this book but I am hoping they miraculously come back. Can't wait to start book four!

I have been reading this series starting with Hounded, since having been recommended by a friend. My husband and I both have Kindles and one of us is often a bit ahead of the the other and we both know when one of us hears the other giggle Atticus or Oberon have said something profound. I don't know what I will do when I finish this series as I am hooked on the characters and story.

Hammered is the third book in The Iron Druid Chronicles and hits just keep on coming. I enjoyed it from start to finished and couldn't wait for the next in the series. Atticus is up to shenanigans again in this story of Thor and the eclectic group Atticus leads to Asgard. Great read, great story and fun from start to finish.

Big fan of the series. Entertaining, funny, and not to much of a love story to get in the way. But if you've gotten to this book you are probably all ready invested in the first few and will get whichever is next regardless of anyone's star rating.
If i had a complaint... And i do... They are quick reads for the price.

The Thor references from the first two books are finally paid off in an excellent end to this trilogy, and I'm very excited to read the next book in the series when it comes out in April 2012. These books are all quick reads for me, and Hammered was no exception - I devoured it in a few hours. The characters are excellent, the writing is wonderful (if a bit... inconsistent at times) and the storyline is great. Best of the series so far!

While on summer vacation, a friend turned me on to this series . I am completely hooked on the Iron Druid. THe only problem I have is that while not on vacation.. I have to schedule time for myself to read it .

This 3rd book continues in line with the previous two books. Strong development and spin derived from Germanic (and other) mythos which blends well into the modern world. The various angles and threads all tie to the protagonist making for a very worthwhile read.

Not much unique in comparison to the first of the series.

When I first stumbled across 'Hounded' a few weeks before it was released, I was instantly captivated by the product description. Immortality and long life had always fascinated me but I was quickly growing weary of vampires in recent fiction. So when I first read about a 2000 year old druid, I was immensely intrigued.

Flash forward two books (and two months, thank god for that) later, I found myself setting my alarm just so I could start reading my copy of Hounded as soon as it was released on Kindle. And I must say it is by far the best of the series thus far.

If I had one complaint about the previous books it is that there was almost a lack of personal history to Atticus. We knew he lived for a long time, but I didn't really feel like I knew much about him. This book allays quite a bit of that concern, and I found it intensely revealing as to his character and his personal motivations. But beyond even that this book just generally took a more serious note. Is vengeance at any cost worth it? What are the consequences of our decisions?

However I think what has always stood out for me about Kevin Hearne's books thus far, is his ability to nearly perfectly manage comedy, characterization, and plot. Even with 'Hammered' taking on a more serious tone, I still had a ton of just laugh out loud moments (which is awkward at 2 AM in the morning). I felt a connection my connection with Atticus and the other characters grow with each sentence. So if you like a story with good action, comedic ups, and philosophical pondering downs, bound together with a great plot, awesome characters, and an amazing world, this is the book for you.

This book is fun read. Great characters, great fight scenes, and I love the talking dog. A good book all around if you are a fan of Neil Gaiman and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. There's a lot of pop culture references in this book so it will be dated eventually but it's fun to read it now.

Great story! Highly entertaining and an enjoyable read. I love the blending of mythology of the different cultures. My favorites are the enriching characters, well done, and I feel so invested in them since the first book. I look forward to reading the full series.
