I always enjoy reading Georgia Le Carre's stories. Blackmailed by the Beast was no different.

She takes me to foreign places, gives me intense love, and romance with just a tad of angst.

This won't be the last book I read by this profound author.

This book didn't work for many reasons. The first was the really disturbing childhood trauma of the heroine which was both described with lots of blood (Warning for people who don't like reading grizzly murder scenes because there are more than one) which were not really appropriately handled. The second was the appalling bad sci fi treatment for the hero. it was so bad, I just quit the book when we got to a scene directly from Space Odyssey 2001.
You know, I was into the romance. I love a crazy possessive hero. I'm fine with a dumb innocent perfectly sweet heroine. It was the rest of the book that made this a really bad read.

This was an emotional read that seem to start as a lighter romance and finish as a much more intense read. I loved Chelsea and Thorne and their ending! A great story of Beauty and the Beast! ?

I completely enjoyed this book. It takes you on an emotional journey and by the time you reach the end you feel like you personally know the characters. The ending was fantastic and kind of scary! I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.

I am always excited to see what Georgia new book will be. It is always intense with something very dark lurking in the back. Chelsea and Thorne are two strong characters. With intense passion for one another. Won’t say more because I will spoil it.

This story had promise. Especially with so many good reviews. It was a big disappointment. I don't know how you can take a story about murder, child abuse and blackmail and make it shallow. The characters are underdeveloped and supposedly strong convictions are completely reversed within a paragraph. You never find out who killed her father and why. If the author just wanted him killed off, he could have just had an accident. All of the feelings an reactions are cliched. By the time I got to the epilogue I wasn't even interested.
One more thing. Did they ever say why she took his money? If so, I must have missed it as I was skimming pages hoping to get to a good part..

This is the first book by Georgia Le Carre that I have read, but I won't be my last. I loved everything about this book!! Make sure to get it, you won't be disappointed. I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I received an arc in exchange for a honest review. Abby stole money from Thorne when she used to work for him and than she left town without trace. Two years later Thorne has found her and he wants her to repay him but not with money but her body.

I believe this my favorite of all the books I read of this author. This book is ?and a great story. This has a lot of chemistry between the two. Give this author some ? and read it. Well worth it. I volunteered read this book for a honest review.

This book is 3 1/2 stars for me. I did like it, but I enjoyed the beginning of the book more. After the initial find and retrieve, the pace was pretty languid. The H wasn't quite the 'Beast'I thought he would be, but that's okay with me.... I found the h a little devoid of her own personality. She started out with one, but it went away pretty quickly. Interesting AI integrated into the story. It was steamy, with not very much humor.. had some darkness, but not where I expected it. Sweet epilog. As a side note, I always long for the female character that plays the part of telling the h how she's not good enough for the H, to see them together at the end of the story. That never happens, haha, and while I could say their lives have moved on, but you know, I haven't:) I would just like that closure someday in a romance novel. This is my first time reading Georgia Le Carre but it won't be my last.

Your heart really goes out to her.
Thorne appeared to be this ruthlessly cold person, but when he finally tracks Chelsea down it turns his world upside down.

The beast was a ruthless man who get what he wants and anybody tries to get in his way are in a rude awakening. And what he wants is her even though she stole from him he sees the real her inside. Good book to read

Beautiful love story,definitely a page turner! I loved the way the author inserted music videos to strengthen the story. The story line with the AI was very thought provoking though!

An enjoyable collection of stories. Descriptive, easy to read, well edited - what's not to like?
Interesting storylines with HEAs that aren't overused cliches.
I will definitely be reading more from this author.

2 1/2 stars...This book was just okay for me, it started out good but fell flat. I love the direction the book was heading; Thorne and Chelsea were great, they had steamy sex scenes, it had a little bit of mystery it was getting really good then the ending was just rushed!! AND WHERE WAS THE BEAST??? This book could've been really good.

What a pile of sad, unnecessary, poorly written drama. Good premise and plot for the first chapter but it’s all downhill from there. Could one more sad and dramatic thing have happened to this character to justify her vulnerability? Where was the discussion of what made her keep going after all of this went down in her childhood? I am SO tired of abuse in a heroines past being the justification for a hero swooping in and making macho decisions. And what was up with the random YouTube links ever chapter? Am I reading a fan fiction? The actual story ends about 1/3 of the at through the “book”. Big old thumbs down and blown raspberry noise.

The fantastic storyline drew me in from the very first page and the great characters kept me totally hooked until the turn of the very last page!

This is an awesome read! With a lot of twist. I never expected it. Every page held me captive. So well thought, I got emotionally invested as well, I shed some tears for Chealsea and happy that she got what she deserves.

Really heartbreaking what happened to the h. Georgia Le Carre is such an amazing author. The story is really good. When Thorne initially thought he would punish her instead he saves her, protects her, loves her. I received an ARC For review! Would recommend!!

Every part of this book was good , it had me hooked form the first page . The characters where well thought of and explained, the action and romance was very hot ;) . I would definitely recommend this book.

Chelsea and Thorne have a great chemistry. Once Thorne learns about Chelsea’s past it makes them stronger. I loved the book and the music that goes along.

I first started reading the book and the middle and then it was fine okay. But that last bit, at the end of the book if she doesn't make a story about that last paragraph at the end of the book oh my God I'll go out of my mind. It was a very satisfying read.

Mediocre story, but still better then the poor excuse of explicit sex.
If you don't have KU, it's not worth paying more then 1 or 2 bucks to read this carp..
Especiall, when near the end author goes off on a moralistic tangent about abortion/right to life and off the wall, experimental, holistic cancer treatment BS gets thrown in at the backside ending of this story.

I definitely WILL NOT be reading anything else by this author.

My biggest issues with rating and reviewing this book is the complete 180 degree transformation both characters undergo within 1 short chapter. The author did a wonderful job with character development and storyline. I really enjoyed the sexual chemistry between the charaters. I had a hard time coming to terms with the fact that the character could so completely turn their attitudes towards each other around in 1 short chapter. While there were minor instances before the major transformation I felt it was too abrupt. The charaters went from loathing and not believing the other was trustworthy to being in love....I just could come to terms with the turnaround.

So, I've read all Georgia Le Carre's books. This one was....not sexy for me. There was nearly no chemistry between the Hero and heroine. Add to that (spoiler alert) heavy undertones of childhood sexual assault and possible world destruction by an AI, and I was fully turned off. Even all that might have been overcome if there was more of a well written love/lust connection between the H/h. Just saying he loves her didn't make me feel it at all. I'll definitely be back for her next book in the strength of previous series', but this one was a skip it for me:(

I was a little disappointed with this. On the one hand, it was good. The characters were well-developed though I really couldn't relate to them. On the other hand, I was disappointed with the plot though it had potential. There were some things that were left undone such as what really happened on the day Chelsea's father died. I love my mom too but to let her get away with what she did is unacceptable! The characters did an about face from hating each other to loving each other.

I loved the story, so many ups and downs. I normally take breaks with some books but this story kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next. I highly recommend this book. My first book by Georgia Le Carrie.

I actually like the author, and her other books, including the bonus content, are better. This is a decent story, but there are editing errors. First, what color is her hair? At the beginning it’s brown but then is described as blonde. Then later she argues with her mother at the funeral about James who is Thorne’s butler, but they are really talking about Uncle Dave. Other minor stuff but those two things I felt were glaring errors.
Also, if this is your first book by this author know that the bonus content is middle of series stuff.

While this book reads nothing like the book description, it was well written and great to read.

Chelsea is a dramatically damaged character with a traumatic past, and Thorne, the enigmatic billionaire. Together they created sparks and a wish that they would find their happy ever after.

At times, the story seemed a little disjointed, with many different avenues, but overall was a fantastic read.

There is so much happening in this book that I don’t know where to start, or what genre it should be in. Dark and hot romance, revenge, betrayal, sexual and psychological assault triggers, murder, sci-fi, etc. Even though this is set in modern times, the beginning of the book makes me feel like I’m reading a historical romance. The Beast is a bit of a pussy cat, and it isn’t quite realistic, but for some reason though I found this an enjoyable read. Loved the twist at the end.

I have mixed emotions about this book. On one has I really enjoyed this book. It started out fast and kept the pace up thru the whole book. I just adored Thorne. Chelsea was something else. She was strong but vulnerable. Her and Thorne had such a good connection. She had a tragic past but she still was strong. Now the other hand I really didn't like it. This book took a real weird turn. I'm still scratching my head wondering what the hell. It never wraps up about the day her dad dies. I'm left wondering.

This book is ok, but not terrific. I never felt any kind of real connection between the characters, as if they are stilted actors in a play. While, as a story line, the plot has potential, it never reaches it because of awkward writing. There was a lots of twists and turns in this book and I did feel like I would get lost with all of the but I did get to the end of the book and I can say that I did like this book, the story, the romance and the characters even if they where a bit hard to get into them. Overall a good book by this author and I would recommend

Too many sex scenes. The author had a great story line with the AI and the dangers that come with this kind of technology but instead wasted the story on too many sex scenes. I wanted so much more and was disapointed. Not all of us that read romance want sex on every page. We happen to enjoy a real storyline and charctor development.

This book was horrible. It jumped all over the place and had no storyline. The only thing good about it was the cover. I stopped reading half way through. A big disappointment to me with all the 5 star reviews.

I wanted to like it, but didn't. The characters weren't very likeable. The book barly gets started, he treats her like crap and she decides she's in love with him. His parents treat her liked crap and it's all good in the end. She needed a backbone and some therapy.
