Like this author, read some of the reviews and decided to buy the book. Has a lot of laugh out loud moments, seriously, hilarious, but that's about it. Why I didn't really love this book, it's the 17th book in the series, I really wanted to like this book but it felt really forced. The whole book felt rushed, it seems like some scenes could be more descriptive. This wasn't insta-love, but close to it. Not a whole lot of build up. It was an okay story, I enjoyed her first 5 books the most. More than likely won't reread this one again.

i have been reading the Brides of the Kindred series for a while now, this one was a little tough to get into at first. the story didnt seem to flow as well as the previous books, at least in the beginning. after the first couple of chapters the flow of the story seemed to improve. However i was not as captured by this book as i have been in the past. All though the story was a good one, i didnt feel like it was connected to the Kindred. it felt more like an afterthought. With that being said i think it was a good book!

Evangeline Anderson is a genius, what more does anyone need to know?

Switched is the 17th book in the Kindred Bride Series by talented author, Evangeline Anderson. This series is well worth the read from the first book to the latest instalment. Switched is a very easy read and contains such a well written storyline that even if this is the first book you have read you won't get lost. The sexual content is hot and steamy, but not over the top to take away from the storyline.

Some characters are easier to fall in love with than others, and that’s what happened for me with Kerov and Frankie. They are adorable, feisty, endearing and the list goes on. I love the chemistry between them and how the whole storyline unfolds.

Kerov is our sexy Kindred living on Tarsian with their rules in society. The rules are the opposite of how a Kindred should live, but not knowing any different Kerov is forced to live half a live and go against every instinct he has. The Tarsian society do not believe in emotion and put their security at very top to everything else. They control the relationships to such a point they assign someone to be your partner and hold beliefs that all intimacy is for deviants only.

Frankie is a hot blooded Latin woman who is pestered constantly by her family to get back with her ex who is cold hearted and only thinks of himself. She truly comes a live in this story as the lives of herself and Kerov are literally switched around. They endure the most un-hostible situations but manage to flourish all the way through.

We also see many of our old favourites, like Kate and Rone, Sylvan, Sophia and Kate and not to mention some old foes in the form of Two. Terex is part of this story, and I have a feeling its just the beginning of what we are to see from him. We also meet a couple new people, Jorn and Elaina who I truly hope they both each get their own story.

Do yourself a favour, grab this book today and sit down to an afternoon of leisurely reading.

I received this for a honest review. Once again Evangeline has shown what an imagination she has. My mind actually went wild while reading this book. All I could think about is the first thing I would do if I was to wake up in a man’s body. I could quickly think of three things I would do and Frankie has done them all ready.

Frankie is a good catholic girl. Though her family might not think so. They do not like the fact that she is divorced and work hard to get her back with her ex. Frankie since she was divorced now had to sign up for the Kindred Bride draft. Her family would die if she ended up with a Kindred. Frankie is already dreaming of a sexy Kindred man. What she did not realize is what her future held.

I actually felt sorry for Commander Kerov Volx. He was a Kindred who lives on Tarsia Six. Their rules are so strict on this plant that he could easy find himself killed if not careful. His kind was know at one time to be able to switch bodies with their mates. This is forbidden on this planet along with other things that are in the Kindred DNA.

Kerov was stuck with a mandatory sexual visit with his assigned female Xirnah. I hated Xirnah she was cold in more ways than one. A relationship between a man and woman should be something special. It was not on this planet. Kerov and Xirnah hated being with each other.

I got a good laugh at when Kerov was in Frankie’s body. Him having to do yoga moves and going to get a wax. Yip he is finding it very challenging. Let’s hope he does not mess things up to badly for Frankie. Reading about what these two went through not only were they in a stranger’s body but on a strange planet they knew nothing about had to be truly hard and very challenging.

I One-clicked to purchase Switched Evangeline Anderson's book, but was happily given at the last moment an ARC in exchanged for a fair and impartial review.

Take one "bootylicious" Vegan college student ," Frankie", (AKA, Francesca Benita Hermosa Rodriguez) who never fits in with her large Latino Earth family add an adventure with a brave and manly Kindred "Kerov Volx" meat eating, protein packingfrom galaxies and light years away and you get a book with love, laughter and lust and a healthy dose of Science by Evangeline Anderson!
Frankie dreams of Kerov-lusty, physical and emotional dreams, only to wake up confused and somewhat frightened, all to be revealed by the Goddess above that she and Kerov will indeed meet and fulfill a necessary prophecy that will save the Kindred race and all of mankind.
Waking up switching into each others bodies, cultures and strict codes of ethics is not the traditional way to meet but this is were we find Frankie and Kerov-in the midst of personal conquests and achievments they manage to turn each other worlds and hearts into a confused and muddled mess, though also finding love and respect for how it is to walk in each anothers shoes-painfully so!
I do not wish to give any spoilers, as every page of Evangeline's works is full of tastes, experiences and of course love, lust and a unique adventure and we all know that certain "spicy" aroma that draws Kindred mates across the galaxies!!
Switched could be a stand alone book every paragraph cohesively a solid story, but if you love Kindred adventure, I encourage you to run to your book store, or one-click yourself into a 17 book and counting series!
Available in many forms Evangelines books also include snippets of adventures to come-and you definetly want to read these, because we have a lot to hang onto our socks for! Thank the Goddess and pray for the Seven hells because because we have more adventures coming in Alien's Mate a new series coming soon and another future Kindred adventure I have personally been waiting for an older Kindred...perhaps finding Kindred love? Stay tuned and find out!!

Kindred Kerov Volx, Battalion Commander lives on Tarsia Six. A planet where Kindred are considered second class citizens because of their ability to switch bodies with their true mates, something that is completely forbidden and looked down on. Tarsia Six residents believe that if they control who Kindred and Tarsians males have sexual encounters with they can eliminate or contain switching between the Kindred species. Kerov has been with Xirnah a Tarsian for 3 years and they both feel the same way about each other; they’d rather not be together but they must do what was commanded of them. There should be no romantic feelings between the members that resides on Tarsia Six planet.

Francesca “Frankie” Benita Hermosa Rodriguez wants nothing more than to be rid of her ex-husband Carlos. Her parents are true religions and believe that it is only right for Frankie to fix her marriage and get back with Carlos whom Frankie refuses and get the support she needs from her best friend Lacy. Frankie is just trying to move on with her life, get the degree she needs and make her family understand she and Carlos are through.

The last thing Frankie and Kerov expect is the wake up in a different body in a world they know nothing about and everything and everyone is strange. They must figure out how to get back to their own planet without destroying each other’s life and career in the process. Is it even possible when they can barely make it through the day?

Two is still on his mission to take over/destroy the Kindred and will do whatever is necessary. I was surprised at who his latest victim was and honestly didn’t see that one coming.

This is definitely one of my favorite paranormal series. I laughed a lot and enjoyed reading the inner monologue between Frankie and Kerov, it was great seeing Kerov doing “womanly” things and Frankie doing “manly” things; it was totally different from the other books I’ve read in this series. Not only was this book funny but if you’ve read any other books in this series you know when it comes to sex scenes this author holds nothing back and this book is no different. The sex scenes were HOT!!! I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. This book ends with a cliffhanger so I’m excited to see how Frankie’s family will handle everything once they find out the truth. I’m excited to see if Lacy will become part of the group and I’m also excited to see if anything will happen between Elaina and Terex. I don’t think I will ever get enough of the characters within this series and I will keep reading it as long as this author keeps writing.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. As with all the books in this series the characters are so easy to get to know and like. The two main characters in here are no different. Frankie the shapely Latino who blossoms when forced to live through her mans world will capture your heart. Kerov will emotionally come to life once he begins to come to terms with his self and realize being who you are is not a crime no matter what society tells you. There is great chemistry between these two that makes for some good steam but, as with all of Evangeline's books there is always such a good morale to her stories if your not too short sighted to see it. I loved how in this chapter of the series it told of acceptance and finding yourself and loving yourself for who you are and not letting others judge you and making you feel wrong for how you were born. It's a powerful lesson learned. This was truly a great read in an exciting fast paced steamy series.

I’ve read every one of Ms. Anderson’s Kindred series and thoroughly enjoyed each one. Yes, the plots, along with most of the sex scenes, are rather repetitious, but there are also definite differences between each book, with new characters being introduced, new situations to be dealt with, and many other unexpected twists in each story. There’s usually a whole new planet with its own unique culture in each book. Sometimes it’s a good place, but often not.
I especially like the idea that the Kindred males consider larger-sized women to be far more desirable than skinny women, which goes completely against the usual stereotype of female beauty. I also like the idea that the human females are not just helpless damsels in distress, but are heroic women who often have to rescue their males.
New types of Kindred males appear now and then, so one never knows what’s going to show up next.
Bear in mind that I’m a gay guy, so I’m not often this fascinated by M/F erotica, but I’ll make an exception for this series. As for the Kindred males themselves, despite their various hang-ups, they’re so handsome and honorable that I most certainly wouldn’t throw them out of my bed. (Assuming I could get one of them there in the first place, that is. Aren’t any of these gorgeous fellows gay, or at least bi?)
BTW, the most interesting book, IMO, is “Switched”, where the minds of a Kindred and a human woman find themselves inhabiting each other’s body.

Switched is book 17 in evangeline Anderson's phenomenal Brides of The Kindred series. This is one of my absolute favorite series and I would highly recommend reading the books in order as many of the storylines build upon each other, this particular book is set up that it could be read alone but why deprive yourself of the full world of the Kindred experience.

Evangeline Anderson has once again proven her genius by creating yet another type of kindred on a whole different world. She continues to creatively weave the characters and storylines from the first 16 books into the new ones and to advance all their stories while concentrating on the books latest main characters. The worlds and characters, creatures, foods, etc. we experience with the Kindred are mesmerizing and fantastical right down to their main base of the mother ship.

This is Frankie and Kerov's story.
Despite the recent divorce Frankie has recently gone thru (to her families horror) Frankie considers herself to be a good catholic girl ).She's a beautiful curvy ( although she's not in love with what she feels is her ample booty) Latino woman trying desperately to move forward with her life, trying to finish university, get a real job rather than her present one at Victoria's Secret, and even become a yoga instructor to bring In extra money. Many Kindred couples meet at first through dream sharing, Frankie's first experiences go way beyond dream sharing all the way to mind and body sharing.

Commander Kerov Voix lives on Tarsia Six. Years ago the Kindred shared DNA with the Tarsian people who now look down upon those who are not purebred and carry Kindred genes. The Kindred on Tarsia had a special ability to be able to Switch bodies with others (esp. Their mates) but fearing this the Tarsians have worked to theoretically genetically eliminate this trait over the generations.

The Tarsians are a tough military society. The state pretty much runs everything from your career to who is to have mandatory sexually relations with whom. Emotional attachment including affection is highly discouraged and even punished in this world. Somehow Kerov has managed to rise to a very high position as a military officer and is about to be promoted once again. Being raised In this environment He has basically had to turn his back on his Kindred heritage (his parents are fully Kindred). Imagine his total shock when he discovers he is able to not only Switch but basically has little control when this happens.

Even more shocking is Frankie falling asleep and finding she is actually inhabiting Kerov's mind and body this is no dream. On top of that Kerov is able to speak to her in her/his mind. She has no choice but to try and continue to be Kerov with his internal voice to guide her along. On the flip, side Kerov wakes to find himself in Frankie's body and there are times as well when she is able to mind speak with him as well. The predicaments this situation has them in goes from quite serious to some of the funniest scenes I've read in the series. I was actually giggling aloud a good deal throughout the book , (Kerov getting a Brazilian wax and going out on a date as Frankie had me rolling on the floor).

As Kerov and Frankie experience each other's lives not only do they get to know each other on the most intimate of levels but find they are also developing a special chemistry, unexpected and even a fierce protectiveness towards one another.

As always there are valuable lessons to be learned, ones of acceptance of who you are and pride of your own culture. Finding yourself by actually living thru another is a pretty unique way of learning to love yourself as well as opening up your mind and heart to another.

The chemistry between the characters builds gradually and the authors immense talent of writing sensual and erotic romance is a special part of this book as well. Experiencing sexual feelings while inhabiting the body of the opposite sex takes a very skilled author.

As the Kindred overall story continues there is much excitement, danger and suspense, (the evil Two is even more determined to destroy the Kindred), great interactions and involvement by characters from previous books and lots of sizzling sexy scenes. Book 17 in particular has a major amount of humor and fun that has you smiling the whole time.
Once again you'll find yourself anxiously awaiting for Book 18 hoping that it won't be too long a wait.

I loved this episode of the Kindred saga. I found the first chapters fascinating with the partial switching going on. Once again Evangeline's imagination has run riot in her huge (both geographically and physically) alien world.
Frankie was a great character and her interaction with Kerov was extremely funny. I loved the way they tried so hard to get things right for each other.
I have read all the kindred books and this is definitely one of the best, in my opinion. I am looking forward very much to Terex and Elaina's story, especially as I am an older reader (but that doesn't stop me relating to Evangeline's young heroines and heroes. - I have a memory!). I can't wait to find out what Elaina's secret is.
I love that Evangeline's novels are such good value for money. She has not cashed in on her success as some writers have. One gets a good long read for a small price. Keep 'em coming please. (The stories I mean!).

Evangeline has definitely blown my mind again!...I had no idea where she was taking me, but I was going cause she was driving. Fell in love with Kerov right away. Shoot, on description alone...he sounded HOT!...and Frankie was a spicy little mama...LOL....The two of them together was combustible....The story line held me from the first line. Okay, I am a little biased cause I love the Kindred. I fell in love with them from the first book....and this story did not disappoint....The development of their separate lives was so fascinating. I loved it and you will too!

Frank is a recently divorced Catholic women who is being pressured into getting back with her ex-husband by her family.

Kerov is a Kindred warrior the had been raised on a planet that has bred out his true Kindred traits and supressed the personality that comes natural to him.

Suddenly the Goddess decides it's time for them to meet, even across galaxies, by allowing their souls to 'switch' back and forth at the most inopportune times.

Once again Anderson takes us on a roller coaster of emotion with lots of heat and passion thrown in. The Kindred warriors will boil your blood and challenge any man to treat you like the treasure you are!

As always Evangeline Anderson always stuns me with her work. I love this book and the whole series. She brings these characters to life and its truly amazing. She adds a little spice to my marriage it's truly wonderful. I loved this book especially because they were switched and were able to see what it's like being in a different body especially of the different sex. So cool, and I loved how the characters connected and fell in love!!!! Keep it up Evangeline Anderson!!!!! :)

Switched was a great and exciting new take on the Kindred brides. This book reminded me more of the first few books when everything was so new. Great character development and both the H and h were totally loveable. Loved the concept of mates being able to switch bodies. I was laughing so hard I was crying when they were switched and making a fool of themselves.

Received an ARC for an honest review

Switched is book 17 in Evangeline Anderson's Brides of the Kindred series. And she did not disappoint. I read this story in one session. I would not have been able to put it down if I tried. It was THAT good. I enjoyed the wild ride through galaxies, soul switching, rocking shower/toilets, the equivalent of alien grizzly bears in rainbow colors... I could go on and on. Switching bodies may be an excellent way to get to know your potential mate, but not when you are galaxies away and have never met. I like the underlying message in all Ms. Anderson's stories in this series: anything is possible, there is someone for everyone, and life can get better. Especially when you don't see it coming.

This series is on my favorite series list, but this book is definitely one of the better ones of the series. Strong female lead, strong male lead. Hilarious scrapes, steamy romance, danger and a new threat on the horizon plus leads on new characters for future heroes/heroines.

The Kindred stories are truly amazing. You would think that after 16 books the story would get boring, but they don't. The plot is great, the action keeps you hooked page by page, and the sex makes you squirm....they are fantastic!!
