I started things backward, since this was the last book in this series but once I got through reading this one I knew I absolutely had to read the other 6 books. I am now on the 5th book and feel both excited and sad because I wish the books would never come to an end. Evangeline Anderson is an awesome writer and I look forward to many more great reads from her!

This book was wonderful! And there is still more coming in the series so excited, can't wait for the next one! Have read them all! Nothing like Space, Men with extra talents, and lots of bad guy/girl drama to go with the passion.
Brides of the Kindred 2 (The Brides of the Kindred) (Volume 2) :: Brides of the Kindred 10 (Alien Scifi Menage I/R Romance) :: Pursued Brides of the Kindred 6 :: (Alien I/R Scifi Romance) (Brides of the Kindred Book 4) :: (Alien Warrior BBW Paranormal Science fiction Romance) (The Alien Mate Index)

I love this series, enjoying the fact past characters never lose there place with each book. I will say...this was an extremely fun read....I laughed out loud numerous times. The awkward moments to role reversals and the always present underlying love these characters have within their friendships, just leaves you wanting more.

This author has great insights into what makes us tick - and hot! And how what we think or believe keeps us from being happy! This, the 7th book in this series, takes on a more challenging subject of “human” sexuality - taboos as well as domination/submission in a broader context. This was the trickiest subject she had dealt with so far. For a while it seems as if it has perhaps gone off track but as the layers of “blockages” get peeled away the story gradually comes together. I really hope we get to see much more of Saber. Several previous characters have steamy and also funny cameos - and new intriguing characters are introduced. So, don’t skip this one!

I admire how Evangeline manages to make me scream one minute, cry the next, and want to commit murder the next.

I have been caught up in the Kindred stories since the first book. I liked that she gives her readers a nice long read and keeps the prices down. So many writers I've tried recently want twice as much money and you are lucky if you get 100 pages most of which are sex.

This book tells the story of a touch kindred. A branch that isn't accepted very well by the others. I can't help but wonder what other branches might be out there for future discovery.

This one deals with the quest by Lissa and Saber to get back the scrolls that the evil priestess sold for her nestegg. Of course the scroll is on a planet that the kindred avoid. This is without doubt the most cruel planet we've visited so far. Men are subjated, raped, tortured and eventually [it is implied] killed as a result of the torture.

Now it is obvious that the whole trip is designed to push the two into re-examining the taboo that has kept them apart. I know some peole are writing that it is spicer than her other work. It has some kink, but for me wasn't spicer. But I don't read for the sex but for the building relationship.

There are 2 things that really wish had been different, I wanted the torturing witch on the planet to get paid back for how she tortured that poor boy, and I felt the secondary story with L was rushed. Her afterword explains that. Personally I wish instead of releasing this so quickly that she had reworked the end and has L's story wrapped up in the next book.

Also since she writes m/m as well, rescue that poor boy and find him the only gay kindred in the universe to look out for him.

Also from the reaction of other kindred to Lissa and Saber's bonding sex, once the story spreads they'll want a touch kindred and his bride on ever tier of all their ships.

I hope the next book pushes the envelope more than this one did. I know I'll be buying it as soon as it comes out.

Exiled is the 7th book in Evangeline Anderson's Kindred series. Originally it was supposed to be the end of the series but thankfully the author's muse has given her more ideas for future books and there will definitely be an 8th book in the series. I'm very excited for this series to continue on because Exiled was a great book!

Exiled follows Lissa and Saber as they go on a dangerous mission to retrieve some stolen scrolls that can help save the Kindred from the hoard enemy. The world building in this series has always been amazing and this book is no different. The author takes the audience into another world within the Kindred Universe. There are very detailed descriptions that make you feel like you're there right along with the characters. One of my favorite things about this series so far is how creative the author is with the different worlds she builds within the Kindred Universe. It's fun to get sucked into a whole new culture every time I read a book in this particular series.

We also get to see familiar faces from previous books which I appreciate. I love that the author doesn't just forget about the characters from her previous works. She always includes them and they usually play pivotal roles throughout the series. It's always interesting to see what the old characters are up to.

Lastly, I have to mention the relationship between Lissa and Saber. Both characters showed a lot of growth throughout the story. The chemistry and sex was off the charts spicy, and definitely well written in a classy manner.

I would highly recommend this book for purchase and if you haven't read this series yet, you definitely should. The books are long and come at a bargain of $2.99. I was lucky enough to receive a copy to review but I am definitely purchasing it for my kindle.

This was a fantastic book and all the other reviewers have done a great job going over the plot, so I'm going to focus my review on the characters and world building.

Your story often rests on the shoulders of the protagonist. Is this a believable character? Do you root for him or her? I was worried that I wouldn't like Lissa in the beginning of the book because she was protesting over what she would need to do for the mission. In my head I was saying, "If you're not going to touch this hunka, hunka mass of burning man flesh, I know I will". As Lissa's character developed, I came to the conclusion that Lissa possesses a quiet strength, a need to protect those less fortunate, and a sense of humility - traits that make her a strong Priestess. When placed in this world that Evangeline created, a world where women dominate and men are subjugated to an extreme, her strengths shine.

I actually wish I could have learned more about Saber's character to explain some of his actions. Here is a leader of men, who planned on renouncing his position when he was younger and now that he has Lissa again is going to transfer his position to Reddix (can't wait for book 8). So, it seems that we have an equally strong man that is willing to sacrifice everything for love, yet when his masculinity feels threatened, he thinks that his female will lose all respect for him? I was a little confused on this. I understand the need for this to move the plot/conflict, but I wasn't sure I believed that he would turn Lissa aside after everything they've been through. So, I was thinking that if I knew more about Saber, I could understand why he did what he did. Based on their history, it seems that he shares some of the same qualities as Lissa - that need to protect others less fortunate, but what else? There was this gaping hole in his life after Lissa left that also shaped him and I wish I could have learned more about this time period.

Also, Evangeline has the admirable talent of introducing us to even the worst characters (e.g., Draven) and making us love them. I knew she was going to give Draven his HEA, and I skeptical on how this was going to happen and if I was going to believe this soul transformation, but OMG - if that didn't happen - she did it! Someone else mentioned that the story between Draven and L seemed rushed, but just because Draven gets a HEA doesn't mean he gets his own story - that would be pushing it. Although I do look forward to reading more about Draven and L in the next book.
That's another thing that folks have mentioned - that Evangeline keeps us connected to all our favorite characters. I cannot image how hard it is to remember all these distinct `voices' while you're writing. Even when folks were soul switching, EA describes the characters so well that I could distinguish between all the shenanigans.
I'm just splitting hairs - in my humble opinion Evangeline Anderson is the BEST author out there and I have been reading romances for over 20 years! So any critiques I give are just gilding the lily (as they say). Onward and upward!

I couldn't put it down. Evangeline Anderson out did herself with book 7 Exiled: Brides of the Kindred. I truly enjoyed the previous 6 books but, Exiled kept me on the edge of my chair wondering what was going to happen to Lissa and Saber next. The planet Yonnie Six was beyond anything I could imagine. Good thing I wasn't writing the book. Evangeline Anderson has one of the greatest imaginations for writing sexy/romance/sy/fy books I've come across ever. She manages to make the sex scenes real without making them vulgar. I wouldn't give these books to anybody under the age of 16yrs to read but beyond that Have a great time reading The Brides of the Kindred. I can't wait to start the next book. Keep them coming! I won't put any spoilers out but, towards the end it gets so hilariously funny I almost feel out if bed laughing. Baird and Olivia in the med station having the baby was one of the funniest scenes I've read in a long time. I could picture it my mind as it was happening. I had tears rolling down my face from laughing. TOO funny. Do yourself a favor and read Brides of the Kindred you won't be disappointed. ?

Trust is a major factor in BDSM. Comfort zones are pushed. The fine line between pleasure and pain is walked. I was most impressed with how Evangeline handled the complex emotions the H/H had. They are dealing with their own attraction, new sexual explorations, sticking to the mission, and their possible futures. I won't spoil anything, but there is a scene near the end that pushes serious limits for Lissa and Saber. Evangeline nailed it. A recent article I read in a medical journal outlined the conflicting feeling a person might feel after such an event. The questions they might ask and how that could translate to their relationship was right there in the book.

Even better, the characters did not spend the next 5 chapters moping or bickering! Evangeline presents her story but does not dwell on particular aspects for the sole purpose of creating angst. These are adults, they should act like adults. If you have a problem, be smart enough to know a solution when you see it. Definitely a quality I admire in her writing.

Now, I am DYING to see where we go from here. This was supposed to be the end of the Kindred Brides. The proposed next hero is already pulling at my heart strings.

True Love Conquers All
I was so excited for this book and I was not disappointed. In this book not only are the characters facing a new unknown threat, but our hero and heroine must do the unthinkable in order to find a way to stop this new evil from destroying them all.
Like most of the Kindred series we got to meet Lissa and a bit of Saber in "Pursued". Unlike the rest of the series these two actually knew each other since they were children and both of them are Kindred. Seeing how they both interacted with each other it was plain to see that they were both deeply in love. Unfortunately because of their society's archaic laws they are not allowed to be together.
I loved the tension that was in this book. Although at times I wanted to scream at them for being so stubborn. Romance where the characters were childhood friends are some of my favorites and this one was no exception. I like seeing them being able to laugh and enjoy spending time with one another without actually getting physical. It makes me really believe that when all is said and done they will always be there for each other. Being friends since they were little they worked very well together which was good since they would be working Very closely on the female dominated planet of Yonnie Six.
I really like how creative this author is and we really get to see that creativeness put to work in this book. Yonnie Six is both intriguing and frightening at the same time. Females on Yonnie Six are the dominant species. They treat males as nothing more than mere animals and some of their punishments are horrifying to say the least. It was interesting to see a world where Females were the dominant ones, but I can definitely say I much prefer the Kindred way of equal partnership.
The thing I like most in this book and really all of the books that Evangeline writes is that even though this is a romance the characters do not just jump into bed together. The book is set up somewhat like a courtship in that we get to see more and more sides of each character and there is enough time for some tension to build before they take that final leap.
Friends to lovers in Exiled!

Overall: What an unexpected fun and wild adventure! I think that has to be one of my favorite books of the series. I just wish that we got more of Saber and Lissa's story on Yonnie Six. I liked the whole role reversal idea and I really enjoyed the steamy scenes that Saber and Lissa caught themselves in. I really enjoyed the side romance between Draven and L and I really felt that it was a nice way to bring to "unwanted" characters together. I really hope the see some of their adventures in future books. The one thing that i truly love about this series, is that that world inside the book just seems never ending, meaning their always a new kind of Kindred or a new planet visit or new food to try. Ms. Anderson has a wonderful way of describing everything, so you feel as if your watching a movie inside your head.

Characters: Saber & Lissa

Page Turner: Oh yes!

Series Cont: Yes! I'm so happy that she is going to continue the series! =)

Lissa is a priestess with no experience of men. She's been assigned to get some ancient scrolls from the Yonni home world and has been given kinsman Saber as backup. Saber's family had taken her in when her parents have died and even though they are not related by blood, he is considered her brother. They are both members of the "touch" kindred.

Lissa is shy and all of her life she has only loved one person, Saber, but she has taken an oath to never be with him. Saber has always wanted Lissa, but she chooses to become a priestess instead of choosing him. When he's assigned to protect her, he doesn't think about it twice--he just does it.

When Lissa and Saber reach Yonni, the "Mistress" takes special note of Lissa and wants her to train Saber into "proper" submissive behavior. The more they pretend to be lovers, the more Lissa wants it to become real but they're on a dangerous mission and their union is forbidden. Will Lissa and Saber be able to get the scrolls and get off Yonni without falling in love along the way?

Exiled by Evangeline Anderson, the seventh book in the Brides of the Kindred series is a very intensely emotional book. There are some soft core BDSM scenes and there is plenty of emotional angst. This is a series that should be read in the written order because characters from all of the books come and go in each book; this series builds upon itself. There is also a sub-plot in this story that you would have to read about from the other books.

The emotional connection and love between Lissa and Saber literally jumps off the pages. What really makes me connect with this series is the intense love and the great storyline Ms. Anderson has developed around the characters. There is always such wonderful detail and imagery that I feel as if I'm a part of the story and with the characters. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

Ever since I stumbled upon book two of the Kindred Series -- Hunted (Brides of the Kindred) --, I have religiously purchased ever book following (and the one prior as well, which was Claimed (Brides of the Kindred)). I have been a super satisified customer for the most part. This time a friend was willing to lend me the book, but nevertheless I enjoyed it overall.

Lissa and Saber were interesting characters that had traits of previous characters in the previous series. I have to say, however, this was a book that I feel we didn't know enough about. When dealing with the two main characters of the book, we mostly read from the viewpoint of Lissa -- which is a ok, but a little disasterous, for unlike previous books where we are introduced to characters and know their connection to people, we knew nothing of Saber besides his liniage and title at his home planet. We really do not know what his home planet looks like or is about, we really do not know too much of his back story -- especially the part where he and Lissa were not children. So I really felt like I had no connection to them like I had for the previous main characters in their own books.

I love the inclusion of the previous relationships, and the progression they have made. I didn't really care for cat in Elise and Merrick's book, and I did not care for her too much in this one. I just feel like she was a big contradiction when it came to her relationship verses how she handled the relationships of others on the ship. And the mishap near the end was funny, so much in fact that I wish it was delved into a little bit more.

I liked the L and Draven storyline -- or at least its potential. We end up finding out who L is (though I'm sure many of us already had a clue), and we know a little bit about Draven from the previous installment, but there was not nearly enough time to explain their background from certain points, ie what was the driving point, the cresendo that landed them where they were enough to perform the actions they chose to do? I WISH they could have gotten their own stories. But oh well, you can't get everything. I think it would have been more interesting if their stories were more fleshed out. The resolution between L and her counterpart was a little rushed to me.

Overall this was a pretty good book. Lissa at times really got on my nerves, but the dynamic of her and Saber's relationship was something different than all of the previous couples.

I loved every second. I laughed, I cried, I squirmed and had some rather deliciously naughty dreams that night. Loved. It. ~ Under the Covers

Lissa, High Priestess of the Goddess and Saber a much feared Touch Kindred warrior have loved each other since they were young, but because of the antiquated laws of their planet they can never touch or be together. However, circumstances out of their control have them working together in Yonnie Six, a barbaric planet where men are bred as nothing more then slaves and to fit in Saber a powerful warrior must submit to the usually shy Lissa. They must play their parts to perfection, the fate of the universe depends on it, but can they hold themselves back from showing the passionate but forbidden love they both possess for one another.

Whenever there is a new Kindred book out I know I need to set aside the day as there isn't a chance I will do anything but snuggle up with Kendra the Kindle and read it cover to cover, and this time was no different; I got my supply of Diet Pepsi and grapes (I am on a diet, usually it would be salt & vinegar crisps) and got to reading. I loved every second. I laughed, I cried, I squirmed and had some rather deliciously naughty dreams that night. Loved. It.

Lissa and Saber were just so cute together, perfectly matched and although they did have some explosively hot scenes together, definitely the kinkiest in the series, there was just something adorably sweet about them. As for the kinky factor *fans self* wow, it had me panting and drooling all over poor Kendra...it's always the quiet ones you have to watch out for!

Another reason I enjoyed this book so much was that it tied up a lot of loose ends as this was supposed to be the end of the Kindred series, but luckily there was a note at the end saying there will be at least one more. But as this was written like it was the last, you get to see the conclusion of Draven and the horde and also meet Lara's clone again. We also get to check in with all the other couple to see how they are faring, I love to check up on a previous HEA!

This book, and this series, is full of humour, super smexy sex and had some damn sexy aliens in it and I am so glad that it isn't coming to end and I will have at least one more book to look forward to. In the meantime, I am keeping my eyes to the sky and looking out for the Kindred mothership....beam me up!

But love knows no boundaries and love knows no limits, so when she is asked to join her former kinsman on a life-threatening mission, her only answer is yes. She and Saber work together in a most unconventional way to obtain necessary documents to save their people from the Hoard. Sex in public...expected. Erotic pleasures...required. The only question Lissa ponders is whether their love can survive some of the sexual "requirements" the planet inhabitants require.

Draven is evil. He is the leader of the Hoard, and he is captivated by a shadow caster clone named "L". He has a mission for her, and he wants her to complete it then return to him. What he doesn't know is why he wants her to return to him so badly. Surely his former life is not coming back to claim any part of him. He has no good left in him, and if he ever got any of it back, the guilt for years of evil would surely crush him.

Kat has put off telling her family that she has bonded with Twin Kindred warriors. They want to know why she is ashamed to let them meet her family, and she is terrified of what her family will say when they learn that she is marrying not one but two men. Oh, what's a girl to do?

Exiled is awesome! As far as erotic sci-fi romances go, this series is at the top of my must read list. The setting is so highly imaginative that I get sucked in and can't help but feel as if I'm out there in space. The characters are sexy as sin and alpha as they come, but the cultures built around each different Kindred type is amazing. I enjoy learning more about heroes and heroines from the prior books, too. I simply love this series! Please, please keep them coming Evangeline!

Once again Evangeline Anderson takes us on a thrill ride through space with her vivid descriptions and heartfelt characters. This time we visit Yonnie Six. Where women reign supreme and men are nothing more than sex slaves and possessions. The High Priestess Lissa and the Kindred Touch warrior Saber must go under cover to retrieve the stolen Sacred scrolls that contain the information that will save the Kindred race from the Hoard.

Lissa's biggest dilemma won't be transforming herself into a dominating Mistress, but ignoring her feelings for Saber. She has loved him since she was a little girl and his family adopted her. Even though they have no blood relation, according to their clan laws theirs is a forbidden love and the reason Lissa was sent away to become a Priestess.

Saber is next in line to govern his people the Touch Kindred and would do anything to protect them. He has no problem submitting to the woman who once made an oath 'to never have him', but is he willing to let her go after they complete their mission?

Meanwhile the Hoard's leader Draven has a surprise planned for the Kindred still aboard the mother ship and in comes in the form of the mysterious and dangerous L.

Wow! I really enjoyed this book. It was very fast paced and I had a hard time putting it down. The different story lines flowed beautifully and I loved catching up on the other Kindred couples. This book could definitely stand alone, but it's much better if you read the series in order. For those that are hooked on the Kindred Series like me, Ms. Anderson announces that this will not be the end of the series after all. Yay!

As all you know, Evangeline is an amazing writter.
She creates worlds with so many detailed descriptions, they feel so real, it's like your actually their experience it at first hand.
Exiled is the 7th book and this series and loke the others once you start to read it you can't put it down, this was also one of the must funny books in the series, it was like 3am in the morning and couldn't stop laughing!!!
The love scenes were so hot and Saber and Lissa are a remarkable addition to this beautiful world, i loved them so much!!
There was only one thing that made a little sad, i wished L and Draven could've had their own book.
It was good to see Deep, Kat and Lock again and there's one situation in the kindred mothership that almost killed, yep it was that funny, Baird and Sylvan... Ah!Ah! And almost at the end Merricks revelation to Saber made me laugh so hard!!! This males are incredible!!!!
Thank God this won't be the last book in the series and i can't wait for the next one to come out!!!

I received a copy to review from the author, so thaks again Evangeline for that honor!!

At this point the books just keep getting better and better. I can no longer say I have a fav because I fell in love with each book as the series went on. This series was so amazing. I literally read all 17 books over the past two weeks and couldn't do anything else not even watch my favorite shows because I was so sucked into this world of the kindred. Storyline, characters, and chemistry was amazing. I can't wait for more books in this series to come out!

This was a great addition to the Kindred series. Ms. Anderson creates such rich characters and far away worlds. I am so relieved that Ms. Anderson will be continuing this series. Lyssa and Saber were great together and you really got the chance to see them grow to where they could fall in love. The unexpected romance between Draven and L was a nice addition to the story. I certainly hope we can see more about them in future books. The Touch kindred seem like they could provide several more stories in this series. Overall this is a great book for the $2.99 price, I have to say even if the book was poor for this price it still would have been a steal, so it is actually great that the story was so good. Can't wait to read more in this series.

You know how there are some scenes from these Brides of the Kindred novels that are so hot, you have to keep going back to them "just to make sure they're really as hot as you think they were?" Well, the scenes that take place on Yonnie Six (hahahahaha!!) are **Even Hotter** than the 'crashed-on-Earth-being chased-by-sniffer-dogs' scenes in Sylvan - do you remember that one? He had to lick her? omg. I didn't think she'd ever top that scene, but this one totally does.

I agree with the other criticisms that the second half of the book isn't as good as the first half, but it's still a very good story overall. I think the reason the second half feels like a disappointment is because the Yonnie Six scenes happen early in the book and I spent those scenes panting and "OHMYGOD"-ing. After they leave Yonnie Six, I was able to finish reading the book in the company of my family (Thanksgiving weekend with the inlaws) without blushing or needing to excuse myself to go "splash water on my face." :)
