Wow! I have no idea how Evangeline does it every time but this is another must read. The characters grab you and take you on a wonderful ride with every emotion coming through and making you ache, yearn, cry, pity and love along with them. Even after 13 others in the series the plots and stories are unique and original. Definitely a must read series!

I normally love the books in the bride series and this book was no exception until about sixty percent of the way through. I won't spoil it for other readers who may feel differently, but there were about six chapters I could have done without. Overall good read.

I had preordered this book hoping it would be better than the last few that I have read, but NO IT WASN'T. I had noticed that the lead character's were kind of damaged (that was fine in one book, but not in every book she writes),when I started reading this one the leading lady was confident, I was thinking yea she changed it up (same thing with the guy, even though he had reason,he was trying to get over his past). But all of a sudden what was a confident woman became a weak one (same as him) and it was the same tired formula. Honestly I think she needs to start a new series. Because it is getting tired and I not buying anymore. :-( . Time for something else

The female lead in this story started out okay then fast slid her way down a greased tube and as such did not mesh with the hero. To date I've read four of these and the female leads spend so much time thinking about what other people(family, society, religion) will say that by the time they do get together with the male that the story is over. Perhaps this is the reason couples from previous stories are given full chapters that detract (in my humble opinion) from the main story and ruin the flow. In this story the heroine is supposed to be a ship captain but honestly I didn't believe anyone should/would follow her out of a well lit room with one door and a clear view of what was on the other side. Also I read this hoping it would be along the lines of Joey Hill's Natural Law, it is not, not in the least. The female lead is weak, her resistance goes to such an extreme that I was hoping the couple didn't get together. All the religious guilt and to penetrate/not to penetrate and what will my mother think. Couple this with how she dealt with the hero's trauma and the fact that there was so very much wasted potential made this not for me. Two stars because the premise was good, the execution though, not so much.

I absolutely adore this series and it was with great delight that I spotted the author offering copies to fans to read for free! This is a series of books that I've had such fun reading and yes I'm the first to admit that the reader needs to suspend all sense of belief when devouring these stories but it's sci fi romance so for me anything goes !
This the fourteenth book picks up where the previous story Cursed left off with a Havoc warrior ( distant cousin to the Kindred) being offered up for auction as a slave. Thrace the very unwilling slave has spent years putting his unpleasent past behind him and is determed to kill whoever buys him and reclaim hs freedom. What he hadn't expected was to be bought by Trin, an honourable young woman who simply wants hm as back up. When Trin finds herself in danger Thrace rescues her but their ordeals are only just beginning and pretty soon being a slave to Trin is not the worst thing that could happen to Thrace becase losing her is far far worse!
This is a series that I find totally irresistible with it's take charge heroes who are often damaged and heroines who are perhaps not always kickass but nevertheless tie these big strong guys up in knots. This story had the sexy scenes that this author excels at although I'm not such a huge fan of the whole voyeur vibe that these characters seem to have to go through . Ms Anderson gives us a heroine with strong moral fibre and it's an unusual twist as she struggles with coming to terms with the possibilities of a male in her life. Thrace has an awful lot of baggage to deal with but his developing feelings for Trin make it very hard for him to despise his mistress and indeed he quickly comes to realise that she has in many respects been brain washed by the society she has grown up in. I think this is where a much darker tone takes over the story and there will be some readers perhaps uncomfortable wth certan events . No spoilers here but it's quite difficult to read without feeling emotional but happily the Kindred always support each other.
So the world building as usual is amazing and the authors imagination just keeps stretching until it clearly knows no bounds. Whether it's items of clothing, physical descriptions or unusual food stuffs there's always something new to picture in the readers minds eye. New worlds , amazing adventures and yes very erotic encounters , add in an old enemy of the Kindred and this series just does not run out of steam. I thoroughly enjoy these books and cannot wait to find out what will happen next.

Enslaved is an amazing story concerning Thrace S'ver and Lonnara Trin. Both from 2 different worlds and 2 very different cultures. I am very happy I got the opportunity to read such and amazing book. Evangeline Anderson has such and amazing talent and a very creative mind. I want to give her a special thanks for all the hard work and sacrifice she puts into writing her books. If you have not read anything of hers you are truly missing out.

Thrace who is a Havoc which culture very rare bonds to a mate. Havocs I guess you can say are distance cousins to the Kindred. Thrace is a very built and handsome guy who swears to kill his next Master or Mistress. Thrace has a nightmare of a pass and has a lot of buried memories that he would like to keep there. Will he be able to keep them buried? Good question. Read the book to find out.

Lonnara Trin is from Zetta Prime and captain of her own ship. The planet she is from looks at men as no more than unintelligent animal that they want nothing to do with. It is total damnation to ever have sex with one. She is a very beautiful exotic, brave, strong woman who is blinded by her up bring. Oh the trails she has a head of her.

Lonnara who needs a male slave for a business transaction she must do finds herself at the Flesh Bazaar. She stumbles across Thrace and due to some unfortunate circumstances ends up buying Thrace for a very hefty sum.

Though my heart broke for Lonnara for all the trails she had to face, it really broke more for Thrace. All the pain and hurt he went thru in is past. As you are reading you wonder if he will ever find the healing in which he needs to deal with the past and put it behind him. Such a past can so destroy someone so easily. Want to know more about the trials Lonnara had to face or about why my heart broke for Thrace. Well read the book.

Will Lonnara and Thrace find their way together? Will Lonnara be able to overcome the things she was raised to believe? Will Thrace kill his new mistress? Will Thrace learn to summit to Lonnara? What will Lonnara's planet and crew think about her taking a male slave? All good questions. Read the book to find out.

I would recommend this book to anyone. I myself could not put it down. I am so in love with this series and so enjoy the creativity of the author. Oh, to be swept away by a Kindred. A girl can dream can't they?..LOL

I loved this book another amazing book from Evangeline Anderson she takes us back to Yonnie 6 where the women rule and the men are less then dirt in most places but where are adventure takes us surprised me
Trin is from zetta prime a sister world to yonnie 6 the difference is they think sex with men is disgusting she is at a slave trade market because in order for the yonites to take her seriously she must have a body slave while providing she come by a merchant who is selling Thrace a havoc a distant cousin to the kindred they are different they don't bond with women because it shortens their life spans and it just something they don't do they don't want to be tied down to any women when Thrace refuses to obey a command the trader who is selling him uses the pain collie a fight happens and 50,000 bucks or I forgot the pay thing but Trin has spent all her crews money and hers so they must buy power crystals in a dangerous place called the Devils Edge where she desires to go alone her crew didn't trust Thrace so the medical officer holds him at gun point tells him to leave he asks where Trin is and he freaks and saves her they get the crystals and he deduced he will repay his debt That cost her and her crew money he agrees to be her body slave and they go to Yonnie 6 we're she must sell the power crystals to make up for the money lost I tell you this book was great I loved it and I couldn't put it down Will Trin and Thrace become a couple or will her beliefs of nit being penetrated by anyone get in the way will she sell the power crystals and who is the mysterious master x to find out I strongly suggest you buy this book it is worth every penny 5 gold stars

I truly enjoyed the latest book in the Kindred series. Thrace and Trin make one of the best couples yet. Both are strong characters, but the hero was so sweet and caring it added a lot more depth to the relationship. While there was a good connection with the heroine in this story, there seemed to be an even stronger one with the hero - which threw in a slight twist to this book.
With most authors who have a series like this, the stories tend to become repetitive and tedious. This is not the case in this series. I was glad to see that Ms. Anderson has not lost her touch and ability to add to each consecutive book. While it was still ripe with conflict, Enslaved seemed to have a much sweeter overall concept to it. Very poignant moments throughout the story. I must say I was greatly pleased with it. Each story seems to get better than the last. I know I can say it's a great book when I can honestly say "I laughed, I cried, I fell in love".

At this point the books just keep getting better and better. I can no longer say I have a fav because I fell in love with each book as the series went on. This series was so amazing. I literally read all 17 books over the past two weeks and couldn't do anything else not even watch my favorite shows because I was so sucked into this world of the kindred. Storyline, characters, and chemistry was amazing. I can't wait for more books in this series to come out!

Another great addition to the series. Evangeline Anderson knows how to keep the reader captivated. This book keeps your attention from the very first page to the last. I love the entire series and each story is unique and creative. Enslaved tells the story of a girl trying to overcome the beliefs she was raised with. Trin needs a man to pose as her slave for a business transaction. She meets Thrace at an auction and cannot stand to see him being treated so badly. She was raised to believe that men are no better than animals and she tries to treat him as such. As they go through her adventure together Trin realizes that her people are wrong and men are not animals. Should she stick to her people's views and do what her head is telling her or should she listen to her heart??

A wonderful science fiction romance about how a woman (Trin) from a planet which abhors men, and a man (Thrace) from a planet which does not get involved with women for more than a one night stand come together, learn to trust, and fall in love.
Miss Anderson spins a fast paced tale filled with action, sizzling hot, naughty sex and some tears along the way. This Thrace and Trin must deal with Thrace’s past emotional scars, as well as the bigotry of Trin’s race, and then choose between how they were raised and the love they have found, all this while dealing with bad guys, dream gas, and cults. WOW what a ride.
A villain or two from past books in this series return to make an appearance, along with beloved past characters that come along to help our new hero and heroine through this adventure. This book is part of a series it can stand alone but will be a much more enjoyable read, if you have read all the books in the series and know the characters, all the stories tie together very well, and they are all well edited, and well worth the read if you like science fiction romance.

Many would think a paranormal erotic romance would be a more shallow read but beware these shallow waters run deep. Within this story about two very star crossed lovers you delve into the reality of how ignorant, painful and damaging prejudices can be. Trin has been raised on a world where they believed that men are no more than animals and to love one would be an abomination that would damn your soul to Hell. Thrace is a Havoc male who not only was an abused ex-slave in his past but was also raised in a culture that believed love was not worth the pain it can bring to you and loving a female should be avoided at all cost; love was a weakness. Through this story you see how badly Trin has been brainwashed to believe in her culture's prejudices and see first hand how damaging this is for her despite her having put some separation between herself and her home planet. Luckily though for Trin, Thrace has a strong mind and will and simply refuses to give up on the love he found with Trin. Thrace throughout the book continues to try and fight through her prejudices to reach Trin's heart to help save her and her soul. Of course this book is the same as with all of the Brides of Kindred books in that it has a level 10 steam factor. So you can still expect plenty of hot romance scenes with just the right amount of angst through out the storyline. Plus the plot continues to thicken and the peek you get at the next story will have you experiencing heart palpations. I don't know how the author keeps the story so fresh after so many books within the series but there has never been a dull moment yet within any of her books in this series. They are all fast paced, steamy reads and at times you can find an underlying moral that gives the story more spine than what you might expect from this genre of books. You could read this particular book in the series as a standalone but you would be missing out on so much reading pleasure that I personally wouldn't advise it. Plus the first four books in the series are bundled together really cheap on the store. Warning though they are addictive!

Started out good, but got weirdly tedious near the end. The plot was fine but the author got stuck on alien definitions. I get it we need to learn the terminology to follow along, but I don't need to read page after page as every single character learns what you're talking about! You just told me 2 pages ago what it means. Other than being overly repeadative for the last few chapters, good story, I'll keep reading the brides series. Recommended for anyone into alien smut!

Thrace and Trin were spellbinding! At first, I was slightly unsure of how I would like a hero that was submissive. Generally alpha and submissive don't work very well but the way it was laid out was brilliant. I had no trouble understanding his role as protector yet calling her "mistress". I also loved how he used the endearment "baby" during crucial moments in the story.

His background was heartbreaking and hers was essentially cult like which created a completely original storyline that I thouroughly enjoyed. Loved it and cannot wait for more.

Another great book to add to the Kindred series! I wasn't sure how I was going to like a hero that wasn't always Alpha. But Thrace was perfect. When he would call Trin "Mistress", I'd just melt. It was surprisingly incredibly sexy and erotic, not what I was expecting. Sometimes the inner struggles that Trin and Thrace had were tough to read. You just wanted to reach in the book and shake them. Lol However, reading the passion and need that formed between them was really hot, like sparks would fly off the pages hot!

The only part that I had a hard time reading was recounting Thrace's past abuse. I know it was part of him and it doesn't change how I enjoyed the book. But, it was a little tough.

With all of that said, I would definitely recommend this book and the series. It's well worth the price and is one of my favorite series. You can't go wrong with Evangeline Anderson's books. She always writes great stuff!

I was given an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review.

So Since I started this Brides of Kindred’s Series I always wonder how Evangeline Anderson is going to top the last book in the series and once again she has superseded my expectations. This book is as awesome as and maybe even more awesome than the last! I love the way she brings Lonarra Trin to the scene strong yet naïve of what the touch of a real man feels like and I also love how she brings Thrace S'ver who has been enslaved for so long he automatically agrees to remain Trin’s slave for saving his life. However, as these books tend to be, nothing is at is seems and you can never say never as to how these couples will find themselves falling head over hills for one another through the rift and rafts of experiences they face in the fight for their lives.
I love how even though each story is its own she finds a way to connect the foundation for the series to each story as well as keep characters from the other books very much alive in each book!!
As with them all the HOT, SEXY, INSATIABLE love scenes just jump off the page at you and keep you wanting to read more. Evangeline you have outdone yourself again!!! Can’t wait for the #15th installment to this series!!!!

Evangeline Anderson never disappoints! Although Enslaved in the 14th book in the Brides of the Kindred series, the story is as amazing as each of the books that have come before it.
We have passion, boy do we have passion! We also have the strong personalities of both Thrace S'ver and Lorrnana Trin. Their story is one of control, losing control, heart and passion.
We also have the special bonus of hearing about previous characters that lets us keep in touch with them.
Evangeline managed to come up with story after story and never has the same usual patterns that you can find in series sometimes. She always comes up with fresh ideas, as she has with Enslaved.
Every time I read a book from Evangeline Anderson I am never disappointed and I highly recommend you grab a copy today!
Looking forward to book 15

Enslaved is another brilliantly written book in the Kindred series! Evangeline Anderson is a master writer in the paranormal romance genre.
With Enslaved,  we have Trin who is our heroine and Thrace who is the hero. Throughout the book, Trin deals with the struggles of her religious and personal beliefs conflicting with how she beings to feel for her "slave" Thrace. And Thrace deals with the new feelings that he begins to develop for his mistress.  As the book progresses into the story we hear snips of previous stories that keeps us up to date with their lives and the ongoing problems that the Kindred race are experiencing.
This book/series has everything you want in a book: love, passion, hate, struggle, laughter, tears and most importantly... hot sex scenes!! ;-) I highly recommend this book and series to anyone that wants to escape the normal daily life routine and wants to experience something fast paced and simply amazing!

Evangeline Anderson has done it again with her newest book Enslaved (Brides of the Kindred Book 14). I am always amazed how creative she can be with male female relationships and she has NOT disappointed me this time around. It was wonderful to see such a big and powerful man, Thrace, that has been hurt in his past still submit to the female, Trin, that he is falling in love with. A man that would go through anything if it would truly bring happiness to his love. I love this series and can not wait for the next one!

Whereas some series by the fourteenth novel are relying on formulaic writing, Ms Anderson is creating multidimensional characters and unique story lines. In this segment our heroine is a strong independent woman, Thrin, who holds to her beliefs no matter how misguided at times. Our hero Thrace has his own demons to face but willingly faces them to earn and protect Thrin's love. Too good to put down. Too addictive to not read all of the series.

This was a fantastic read! I was absolutely blown away by Evangeline's writing performance, she has outdone herself once again! I happened along the Brides of Kindred series accidentally a year ago, and now I can't get enough of them!

In Enslaved, the romance is mixed with a heavy dose of angst and guilt, very gut clenching! I cried, I laughed.... i had a hard time putting my e-reader down, as I usually do when I read about the strong, stubborn, loyal Kindred men! Poor Thrace had been through so much in his life, and when this story picks up, life isn't quite done with him! Trin is a sweet woman who unfortunately was raised in a cult like atmosphere, claiming men were no more than beasts.... Not only does she have to fight the evil from others in and around her life, she has to fight the demons within herself!!! The struggle for oneself in this story is a very real concept that can happen to anyone!! Steamy, Sexy, Angsty the perfect combination!!

I can't wait for more!! :D

Seriously loved this book :) I had never read anything of Evangeline's before, but now I'm sold! The characters were conflicted with their own desires and bound by their constraints, but like all good love stories they find the way to overcome adversity and end up in each others arms. 5/5!

Now off to read the other 13 books! :P

It started out well untill they went to Yonnie Six it went down hill from there. The whole plot just didn't work. To much repetitive unsex seens. Yonnie six is just dumb and unbelievable. There are so many questions left. There was no point to this book. The heroine wasn't even likable and really the Hero wasn't much better. This book is not worth your time or money! The previous books are good.

Evangeline Anderson is a brilliant writer. I love her hot steamy romance. Enslaved is by far my favorite kindred book so far. I love everything about the strong, sexy Thrace. I was only a couple chapters in when I fell in love with him. Trin is also a strong and amazing character. They were immediately drawn to each other and I love it. I urge everyone to purchase this book and read the whole kindred series.
