Miss Randolph, you have done it again; I am positively intoxicated by Tindr! This series continues to inspire me like a narrative from a past life, I just adore it! Tindr was no exception, and what a joy to learn more about his upbringing and family prior to his joining Ceridwen's story. -and If you haven't read the first four books, you simply must look for the link higher up on this page. You won't want to miss this one.
Just lovely, lovely work! Thank you! <3

Tinder is the fifth book in the Circle of Ceridwen Saga, the first four books take you on a journey of wonder, excitement and at times breath taking scenes of action. This book is the continuation of a wonderful journey that takes place on the island of Gotland were North men, Vikings and Saxons trade.
The characters are endearing, the story takes you back to the times when life was slow and people relied on each other to survive. Tinder takes the main stage in this book, it is hard enough to make it in this century let alone being deaf as Tinder is, but we learn how he lives, works, communicates, and loves. I enjoy this authors books because she has an extensive knowledge of how the people lived; what they ate, how they made items for trade, how they prepared their meal and how they made there clothes. This is all intertwined in a wonderful story that keeps your attention. You can begin with this book and still enjoy the story, if you have not read the previous books. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I totally enjoyed this book and especially how the shield maiden and her man came back into the story. Tindr is a great character with whom I fell in love with immediately. Thank you for this series. I look forward to book six.

A lovely epic in every way. Well conceived, researched, and written, it weaves a tale around characters who grow with the story but stay consistent within their own personal. I loved reading all five books in this series.

Octavia Randolph so eloquently details every aspect of the characters, animals, wares, food, geography...making this book as well as the other four in the series come to life. It was especially wonderful to hear tender, beautiful Tindr's story.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all five books. I will be very sorry to finish reading Tindr. The characters have become well known people to me. Thank you for the hours I have spent with Ceridwen, her loves, her children and the people who came and sometimes left her life.

I was a little disappointed at first to hear that book 5 was mainly about Tindr, but that feeling was pretty much gone by about page 10. How could I have doubted? I was quickly caught up in the story and the beauty of the writing. Tindr now holds a special place in my heart....

"Tindr", the fifth book of the Ceridwen series, takes the reader deep into history, deep into the lives of ancient peoples and their surroundings. The reader is transported to another time and place brilliantly. Others have written about the storyline so I won't go into it, but although this book could possibly be read as a stand-alone, I would recommend reading the other 4 first for several reasons: one, because they are all excellent, and second, to fully understand where the characters come from in order to get the most from this story. Ms. Randolph's writing is superb and her understanding of life at the time when this book takes place, is incredible. It's as if she has been transported back in time while writing this, and therefore, the reader is also transported. Sometimes books in a series do not live up to their predecessors, but that is not the case with "Tindr."
I highly recommend this book.
