Just like the first Sandhamm novel, I couldn't put this book down. I love the way Viveca Sten tells her stories- letting them unfold from many angles all the while keeping the reader guessing in a classic "who done it" murder mystery. Cannot wait for her next book to be translated into English.

This book is a continuation for the characters of Still Waters. But the story stands on its own. A wealthy lawyer obsessed with boat raising is about to begin a race he intends to win when he is murdered. Why would anyone want to murder him?
The story is the search into the background of everyone involved. Along with updates in the lives of the main characters
There are bits and pieces of the thoughts of the murderer - even though we don't know the person is

A worthy follow-up to Still Waters. A good mystery made better by interesting characters who are growing as the series unfolds. I wish they would hurry up and translate more of these novels into English. We are at least 6 books behind!
The Ultimate Tool for All Musicians - The Chord Wheel :: Hotbloods :: Circle of Friends: A Novel :: One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich (Signet Classics) by Alexander Solzhenitsyn (1998-08-01) :: Circle Series 4-in-1 (The Circle Series)

I enjoyed the insight into another country's culture and approach. The characters are enjoyable as you get to know them and their flaws and strengths. I'm looking forward to the next mystery to be solved.

This is the second book in the Sandhamn Murders and it is well written and plotted.
A man named Oscar Juliander is shot at the start of a yacht race from a distance. Thomas Andreasson is on the scene in a police boat and attends to the murder quickly. When trying to get a picture of the murdered man, the police form the opinion that he was a serial womanizer, was into something shady and was partaking in a little cocaine. In other words, he was not a man to like. He was a high powered bankruptcy lawyer who handled millions in kronor through his law firm.
After interviewing witness and family members, the police are no further along in their investigation. They do discover a secret bank account that draws their interest.
Thomas is having difficulties with his current girlfriend and is trying to come up with a way to call it quits. The problem is she is a colleague and is his boss’ daughter.
Meanwhile, Nora is involved with a dispute with her husband, Henrik. He wants to sell the Brand House and she doesn’t. He goes so far as to invite a real estate agent over and who then invite a couple from Switzerland come to look at the house. She does find time to help Thomas with her case.
Another yacht club board member is shot and the cases’ headaches multiply. There is no evidence that the second murdered man ever Juliander. What is going on? All roads seem to lead nowhere.
Then a breakthrough occurs. The murderer comes as somewhat of a surprise but the reason behind the murders was surprising.
I enjoy Viveca Sten’s novels and will continue to read them.
