all of the llama llama books are excellent and this is no different. It is a favorite of my daughters ages 2&4 so we purchased as a birthday gift for another little girl, she loves it as well! a book I don't mind reading several times over.

This is a great book to teach small children about patience. Llama and mama are at the store, and it doesn't take long for baby to get upset and bored. Great lesson about enjoying time together and staying positive.

These books are ridiculously cute. The artwork is very good, and especially very expressive. Llama Llama, full of drama, must you make things hard for Momma? (I'm not quite as good at it as the author)

The illustrations are adorable! My son loved Llama Llama's angry face, and was able to comprehend that little llama has to be 'a good boy so that he can get his treat'. I don't always use the 'treat' system, but do try to encourage good behavior with rewards. Lately, my son's behavior (especially in public) has been more than challenging, and this book has been a great tool to help him understand he needs to act appropriately when we go out.

A librarian friend showed me this book recently in a thrift store.
After reading it, I had to have it.
The expressions she gets on this cartoon Llama's face are perfection.
My grand-daughter will be able to relate to this book.
Perfect for that fussy 2 to 5 year old in your life.

we are big readers in our house. One daughter is a momma's girl and loves the misses momma book, the other daughter is a firecracker waiting to go off, and I'm not sure who liked this more her or me:)

My grandson loves all the Llama Llama books. He will be 4 next month. He has memorized the stories and knows when to turn the pages. He even sleeps with a stuffed Llama llama. I was reluctant to purchase this title at first, thinking Mom might not appreciate it. After reading the book, however, I found the Mom looks pretty favorable at the end. The Llama Llama books deal with ordinary events like going to the grocery store. The child sees himself in the story and identifies with Llama Llama's feelings. I would like the author to write more Llama Llama books!

My grandson, who was 18 months old at Christmas and received lots of gifts, is simply fascinated with this book! He wants it read continually and is now saying "llama" around the house! What a great gift! The pictures are large and adorable!

We loved the first Llama Llama book, and this one is just as good. For anyone with kids who are impatient in the grocery store, this is a perfect read. Little Llama once again learns to be patient and enjoy spending time with mama Llama. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I have loved Llama books since she was a year old. She is 5 now. We cannot get enough of them. They are fun, and have great rhyming in them to help with emerging reading skills. Llama Llama and his Mama have such a precious relationship, and my daughter and I often refer to each other as Llama Llama and Mama Llama. Love them all!

My daughter loves the llama llama books. This one is great, as always, but mama llama doesn't handle things exactly the way I would.
Llama llama is having fun playing but mama llama drags him to the store. He gets more and more bored, until he finally decides he's had enough and throws all the stuff out of the cart (damaging much of it). Mama llama convinces him that they should be a team. They clean up the mess, finish shopping, then go for ice cream. I call this "Caillou Parenting."
This just isn't how we do things in our family. *My* llama llama would have been prepped for what to expect at the store, would not have been made to shop for ages (way past the attention span of a small child), and would not have gotten the reward of ice cream after such poor behavior.
But I over think things. The rhymes and illustrations are wonderful and it's still a fun read. My 3-year-old can't get enough of these.
