Obviously a traditional story that dates back to way-back-when and I wanted my son to learn. I love that this version looks original and like something my parents would have had (they are 70!). But be warned, in some of the illustrations, the bears (and even Goldie Locks) look completely deranged. But that just adds to the old fashioned charm, right? And my 2 year doesn't seem phased or bothered by them.

I teach kindergarten and needed an original retelling of Goldilocks to read the kids. Because this version is old school some of the illustrations are kind of funny/scary, but it is a great simple retelling of the story without anything extra. In this story Goldilocks breaks chairs before eating porridge, so if you're using it for sequencing, that is different then some other stories. The kids really enjoyed it!

I started telling my 2 yr old Grandson this story at nap time and I thought he needed to have visuals to go along with it. I read the Golden Books to my children when they were little, that being many years ago since my oldest is 45 this year. They loved this book and I was certain my Grandson would as well and he did!
