Millar his berserk in this story of Wolverine years in the future. The super villains have virtually wiped the earth of super heroes, yet one remains, Logan, who won't raise a fist. What happened? Well that would be telling... just pick this volume up and prepare yourself for Millar inspired insanity, with one of the sickest endings ever!

The story was fantastic. The artwork equally complimented the tone of the story. Some of the frames made me stop in awe and horror. I wish they would take this concept and apply to other heroes that would fare well as old men...or even a supervillain grown old looking for redemption.

The product itself was very pleasing, the cover art was phenomenal and there wasn't any damage during shipping. So if you're looking for the Old Man Logan graphic novel this wouldn't be a bad spot to pick it up.

Wow! This book blew me away. The dialogue is believable and witty. The setting is a weird--almost scary--apocalyptic aftermath. And the story is a unique adult take on the Marvel world after it has been put through Hell.

Wolverine's predicament is heart-wrenching, familiar to a lot of us, and kind of hopeless. His moral compass is all screwed up. But, when backed into a corner, the Old Man performs like never before. And I mean that. Wait till you see what happens when he meets an old green friend! Had me laughing and cheering. Twisted.

There's a lot of "twisted" in this book. Think Mad Max meets Unforgiven meets Fallout 4. Yeah, it's that good.

The art is fantastic all the way through. You will want to pay attention to detail. Just beautiful.

I don't want to touch upon the story too much, because it is an excellent tale. You really will NOT be disappointed. You might be creeped out, yes. But this book SCREAMS for a bunch of sequels. And I, personally, will buy every one of them.

GREAT buy. Entertaining. The stuff great comics are made of.

My boiyfriend and I are big into Wolverine and the X men. We heard that this was a really good storyline so I bought this for him for Christmas. It came on time, was clean and un-marred and he loved it. Buyers beware, this is a pretty dark storyline, maybe not good for younger kids. thanks for making a good present come on time and in good condition.

This book had just enough familiarity to be shocking in all the right parts. Hawkeye has been one of my all time secret favorites of the Avengers and I was stoked that he had a major role in this tale. This teamup between Wolver.. er, Logan and Clinton made much sense. Crazy ending but it fit.

The work is very well written. Unfortunately the graphic novel does date itself with XBox references; however, this may work in its favor as a piece of nostalgia in later years when the entire Wolverine catalog is collected. Only serious drawback I see is that Mysterio has never shown the level of power manifested in this book in any other incarnation of said character. Overall, brilliant and the dirty, dirty secret which prevents Logan from initially popping his claws will potentially bring tears to your eyes. Lastly, I love the tie in and continuation of the Marvel Civil War storyline.

PS: Artwork was drawn in a very contemporary construct, yet beautiful enough to make you stop and collect it in your mind.

Or any one of a thousand Westerns. The story lacks any unique elements. A shame. That's why I read comics. To experience strange story-lines that mainstream Hollywood would never make movies out of.

been a fan of wolverine only since the first xmen movie wasn't really a comic type person but when someone told me the premise to this I knew I had to have it-this needs to be made into a movie and I think mel Gibson would be perfect to play Logan

Excellent story, beautiful art. Well defined characters in an interesting series of events, a whole bunch of "Wow, cool!" moments, and everything in wonderful detail by the artist. Absolutely got my money's worth out of this one!

Quick and simple: Old Man Logan is for Wolverine what The Dark Knight Returns was for Barman. The story is entirely self contained and requires relatively minimal background knowledge as a "entry fee."
The only complaint I might have is that the end felt rushed, as if Millar had been itching to get to the admittedly incredible climax. If anything, this feeling of quickly being escorted to the end probably comes from the fact that you really won't want the story to stop. Characters feel dynamic and, in particular, the transitions from Wolverine to Logan and back to Wolverine are fluid and entirely believable (not to mention raise-your-fist-in-triumph awesome). And, going further, discovering why Logan is so bent on not fighting anymore has to be one of my all time favorite story lines.
Combine all of this with Steve McNiven's incredible artwork and you have a masterpiece. I cannot recommend this enough. If Marvel has any brains they'll have this on their short list for future animated features.

The last time that Mark Millar (Wanted, Ultimates, Civil War) took the reigns on Wolverine, he crafted Enemy of the State, a year-long arc that was by and far the best Wolverine story to come along in years. Now, he returns with Old Man Logan, which finds a future world that has been rendered desolate and devoid of hope thanks to the destruction of the superheroes from decades before. Former X-Man Wolverine, who no longer goes by that moniker and lives a simple farm life with his family, vowed never to pop his claws again, and is submitted to frequent beatings by the landowning Hulk Gang family. Broke and seeking to save his family, Logan becomes wingman to his former ally Hawkeye (now blind and driving Spider-Man's old car) as they go on a cross country trek to deliver a package, and naturally, end up getting into more than they bargained for. As Old Man Logan goes on and Millar gives us glimpses into this post-apocalyptic Marvel universe, one can't help but wonder whether or not they've seen all this before. True, Old Man Logan doesn't feature any story elements that haven't been seen in say, Peter David's Last Avengers Story or Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven, but Millar manages to keep you enthralled regardless, and by the time the big reveal comes and we learn just why Logan vowed to never pop his claws again, you will be floored. And despite the fact that its conclusion is somewhat predictable, one cannot deny that Old Man Logan ends up being a surprisingly powerful superhero endeavor. Millar's Civil War partner Steve McNiven is on board as well, and his artwork is as effective and gorgeous as ever. All in all, whether you're a die hard Wolverine fan or not, Old Man Logan is simply not to be missed.

This story takes place far after some horrible event in Wolverine's life that has caused him to be a pacifist. Well, life gets in the way and ole Wolvy has to go on a mission that will test ability to keep those claws sheathed. This story has some turns, interesting turns. It starts off slow but do not be fooled because it does not stay that way for long. You will be surprised by the villain behind all of it, but that does not make the story any lower of quality. It actually makes sense. Wolverine's opponents never had too much ambition and this character fit in properly in the context of things. The end was kind of quick, but if it is to be "realistic" it probably wouldn't last that long. The 4 stars are attributed to this and some of the artwork. While it is far better than anything I could do, it seemed to get kind of lazy about 3/4 through. But if you are a fan of Wolverine (and who isn't?), pick this up and enjoy a fun story and find out why Logan put those claws away.
