Unravelling Oliver

Grabs attention from very first line. Had to keep reading! Short chapters written from very interesting perspective. Oliver is a very unlikable character but I felt compelled to find out what made him that way. A great read. Look forward to more from Liz Nugent.

This is an absorbing novel that cleverly exposes its characters with considerable skill that quite fascinates the reader while giving scope for one to make ones own assessment of the various characters as to whether Oliver had any grounds for his dreadful actions or was his father the real villian? It will hold the reader to the last page which is an achievement in itself, more so for a first novel.

For a brilliant work - well structured, well written, interesting and different. Clever revelation of the deep secrets of an individual faced with disadvantage in a materialistic society,where improvisation pays - and a price must be paid. Excellent theme highlighting the sins of the father and the fragility that is the consequence of a lack of love and acceptance. Oliver is a fascinating mix of success and despair, whose misfortunes impacted the lives of those drawn to his charming veneer. Actually 10 stars for a riveting read!

It was too too expensive for the tiny book (please consider putting number of pages in product descriptions).
It took too too long to arrive.
The synopsis was misleading, because the story line sure didn't didn't follow the synopsis.
If I knew how to get my money refunded, I'd chunk the book in the trash.
What a disappointment!
