This book has it all. Romance, action, intrigue and mystery. I found this book to be very engaging with its storyline and amazing hot men.(LOL) I was so into this book, that didn't finish my chores around the house. I will definitely get next book in series. I was frustrated where this book ended, but was glad to hear that next book will be coming out. Keep up the writing and I'll keep reading this series.

well I got through 40% of the book (forcefully) and just could not go any further. I can't for the life of me figure where the good reviews came from. This has got to be one of the most boring, repetitive book i've ever read. Main character is the most dimwitted character. 20 yr old virgin who after 3-4 hours of knowing someone is trying to get laid. The storyline at 40% read, was just missing. I just could not force myself to finish it, and to think this is only the first book of this trilogy. Glad this one was free, no way would I pay the $2.99 each of the other books cost. I really don't like leaving bad reviews, but this book was just that bad. I really don't want to give it a star, but have no choice, they force us to leave at least 1.

Well written (a few typos here & there, but not enough to be too distracting) and a fresh twist on a popular genre make this story intriguing and a real page turner. Can't wait for the continuation!

I simply couldn't put this book down. A wonderful world to dive into with interesting characters, entertaining storytelling and lots of steamy hot scenes. I'll definitely read the other books in the series.

"Well, if you lived your whole life without socks, your feet would be just fine. You wouldn't know the difference. But, once you've had socks and felt their comfort in hard shoes, warmth in cold weather, and softness against the harsh floor, then you become a little spoiled, and you notice when they're gone. You want socks again… a lot." I laughed out loud at this description of the reason socks are like sex!

The book was hard to put down, I kept waiting for Alyssa to figure out what I already figured out, that Kane was an immortal. I didn't know what kind but he lived in a group of immortals and he knew more about what was happening in that town than he was saying. Of course when she found out what he was she felt betrayed, he felt used and betrayed and she was in a constant emotional and physical stress because she was unaware that she had bonded with Kane.

I know she was sheltered as a child and a young adult before she moved out on her own, but did she have to be so clueless? Any way, I think she will eventually wind up with Kane. Maybe I will read the other books and find out but not at this time. Interesting though.

I almost liked this book enough to purchase the next one, but just can't make myself go there. I had trouble with a woman in her 20's and a witch at that who was so uneducated about everything around her. Sure her mother smothered her, but the girl didn't have enough interest or gumption to learn a few things about herself. She just lets things happen to her without really protesting or investigating anything. The other characters were more interesting to me than the one the story was about. It wasn't awful, but far from riveting. Somewhere in the middle. I didn't figure how the title related too much to the book. All in all not a bad read for free. Just not good enough for me to be curious about the next phase to buy it.
