A very fresh, well thought out plot that involves likeable and not so likeable characters!!
This could really happen and Andrew's writing kept me glued to the pages of both books!!
Well done!!!!

Mr. Watts continues the saga begun in his first book War Planners, and the second book is as much a page turner as the first. The premise is realistic - a bit unnerving - and keeps you wondering - could this become reality?

The overall plot seems a little to far fetched but then that's part of the plot itself and why people don't believe them. While overall a good read there are some major flaws in the logic of the plot and some of the incidents within the book itself, it's a little too far fetched in spots.

I don't like have to buy different books to finish the story. So far 2 books that should have been 2 sections of one book. I assume there is a third section (book) coming out that I will have to buy also if I want to finish the book? There's no ending!!!!

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. When I got to the end of the first book, I realized the story had not ended. Ratz, that meant I would have to buy the next and likely the one after that. Yep, exactly that. I am not a fan of being "forced" to buy other books, but in this case the prime membership allowed me to read for free. OK, good deal. I liked the pace of the three books until the last one. The only reason on the last one was the ending seemed hurried for the last 10%. But still, it was an excellent ending. Premise would be a scary thought if put into real world. Glad it was fiction. I recommend!

Book Two of the War Planners continues with the story, however, this time the central figure is the brother of the main character in book 1. Excellent thriller and those who like Tom Clancy, Brad Thor, and writers of that ilk, should really enjoy this book and series. Book two avoids the total cliff hanger issue from book one, but sets up the next book in the series nicely. It's interesting that each book focuses on a different member of the Manning family and different areas of the world. Bottom line is that this book (and series) is an enjoyable page turner that keeps you interested.

Excellent espionage thriller. It is the second in a series of three. I have read the complete series and they have all been great reads. The each volume focuses on a different sibling in a military family. The plot concept is great and goes into detail as how this plot could happen, I found it nail-biting exciting and could put down any of the volumes.

After reading the thoroughly enjoyable War Planners Omnibus Edition (Episodes 1-4), I looked forward to the next installment of this storyline. The War Stage did not disappoint. The book starts by introducing additional members of the Manning family and the intelligence communities and details the planned manipulation of financial events and other clandestine actions which will remove the U.S. as the major global power

The story seamlessly ties back to the original War Planner Episodes, where the planning for this war was deceitfully developed. Espionage, counterespionage, emotional involvement, murder, terrorism and political folly all lead to an exciting and thrilling ending. I am already looking forward to the next book in this series.

The book contains exciting action that will keep your adrenaline flowing. When I neared the end of the book I stayed up half the night to see how it ended. I highly recommend the book, it’s a great read. If you haven’t yet read Andrew Watt’s work, then I suggest that you pick up The War Planners as well as The War Stage. You will certainly have a deeper appreciation of this book by first reading The War Planners. You won’t regret it.

Once I started reading this book it was very difficult to put it down. For the techno fan with any level of understanding of how economies work, it was both scary and plausible. I've spent a great deal of time in China and there's no doubt in my mind that the Chinese are capable of the shenanigans described in the book. The plot line regarding Bitcoin is well thought out and adds to the intrigue in the book. A very good read!

After reading Mr. Watts first book, War Planners, I couldn't wait for the War Stage to tie up loose ends! And it did big time . . . !
Such believable characters and a plot line that will keep you on the edge of your sofa! - I'm an avid reader of Brad Thor, Michael Connelly, and the late Vince Flynn - and this author has captured my attention - as he will yours. Could bit coins really be in our future? Can't wait to see how this story continues to play out!!!!

I normally do not enjoy war time stories, but this one is highly engaging. The plot takes several twists and turns and has a few surprises for the reader. I am getting ready to read the next book in this series.

I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I can honestly say that this is a great book. A major twist occurs in the middle. I never saw this one coming. Many new characters who were not in "War Planners" or were barely mentioned in that book become pivotal characters in this new book. The only negative comment that I can make is that it took quite awhile to bring back the primary character from "War Planners". If you haven't read "War Planners", I'd read that one first to help fill in some of the blanks, but definitely read, "War Stage".

The War Stage is a highly complex modern war story based loosely on the events leading up to Pearl Harbor mixed with currents events. Political unrest, unstable financial market, bit coins and high technology combined with deception, misdirection, political short sightedness, and a love story rivaling James Bond. All in All a good read. Well written, but don't expect to read in one night.

The War Stage is a fast paced suspenseful read! This is the second book of a series that has Iran, China and the USA heading for war! China is the leader and sets up Iran to look like it is them attacking the US! But Thanks to two men of the red cell that managed to escape the island where they were being forced to give China ways to attack the USA! One way was to take down the internet and communications system that everyone relies on for fast information! They managed to convince some US military elite to be on alert for more attacks! If your like me and love a good suspense you will have a hard time waiting for the next book in this series to come out!
I was given this book for an honest review!

If you like current events and the military implications arising from them this book is for you. In fact the whole series is for you. The plot line and writing style remind me a little bit of David Poyer. Lots of navy focus.
