I was extremely excited to dig into this one after the massive ending of the second. As I wanted, it starts with Rachel and Algaliarept and their 'deal', which was a fascinating turnout. Review:The style of this book was a departure from the pattern of the first three, which was refreshing at first, but then dragged a bit toward the end. Instead of Rachel's hometown Cincinnati, this book takes place in Mackinaw, Michigan, which I loved! Review:Junot Diaz's collection of short stories, "This Is How You Lose Here, is magical. His characters come to life in these stories of lust, love, loneliness, illness and desperation. Despite their circumstances, the characters never lose hope and the ability to dream.

Besides the beauty of Diaz's language and the authenticity of his characters,it is the universality of the themes, which appeal to all of us.
