Review:Great information about ways to grow healthy children, without all the chemicals. When I eat the way they say I should my nursing twins are much happier. When I haven't, such as over thanksgiving and Christmas, they fuss and cry a lot more. Can't wait to see how they do with these new options once they
start eating real food. Read more
Review:The presents an eight point program for effective meditation. His program demonstrates the fundamentals of a good meditation regimen. I am not convinced that this particular style is the best for everyone but there are aspects that can be used to enhance an existing practice. I found the section on mantras interesting and it was refreshing that the author did not insist on any particular number of repetitions. Walking meditation is amazing and adding a mantra enriches the experience. There is a ... Read more
Review:Interesting blend of meditation ideas and infomercial for the 10% Happier App. Definately not a hard-core selfhelp book about meditation, more of a chronicle of the author and team travelling promoting the app with interesting meditation pieces interspersed. Read more

Review:My daughter was born with fears. She has been SO clingy since the day she was born and even when she would wake up in the morning, she was almost frantic to find me. She had three treatments and she was a new person. All her fears seem to be gone and she is a confident and happy little girl now. She was age 5 when she received treatments. It is nothing short of amazing. Read more
Review:This book is a broken down into segments for every day. Each segment is intended to be a reflection to bring more thoughtful-ness and gratitude into your life. Just reading the first couple of days was enough to tell me I was going to sincerely appreciate this book, and I do. I got the Journal to go with it and have appreciated having a place to write down my responses and thoughts from the daily reflections, which is lovely. Read more
Review:This is a wonderful offering by a truly wise, young teacher. I found it inspiring, affirming, encouraging and informative. We can be more open to all that presents itself in our everyday lives and find joy moment to moment. This is a great book for everyone and will be of benefit to all who read it. Read more
Review:What I particularly liked about it was that I felt it took the subject of meditatitive "mindfulness" and applied it to it's usage during the waking course of everyday life -- that is, to noticing what's in you and around you at any given time, i.e., engaging life. Usually I find the subject of meditation treated as recommending a solitary way of retreating from the disturbing pressures of life (sit, cross your legs, breathe....) That's good, some need it, I don't particularly. But this was a goo... Read more
Review:If you have ever thought about a meditation regimen but thought that it was too "new age hippie crap" think again. This book shows the research behind what mindfulness and meditation can accomplish. After just a few weeks of practicing, I find myself less worried and stressed during my day. This book was a really good introduction to the practice and even better, you only need about 10 minutes a day to meditate and experience the results. I was a skeptic but I thought if even a small percentage ... Read more
Review:Mindfulness for beginners is a wonderful introduction to paying attention on purpose, non-judgmentally, as Jon Kabat-Zinn would say. The first CD is a "conversation" about what mindfulness is and is not. The second CD leads you through a number of meditation practices. What I really liked here was the fact that there were built in periods of silence into each practice and when the meditation was over, it was over. This has not been my experience with some other CDs where the meditation ends ... Read more
