Review:My husband and I knew we needed to start bringing up puberty to my eight year old. He is young enough that we didn't need to go into a lot of detail. Just let him know what would be happening in the near future. We looked through a lot of books on Amazon and read a lot of reviews and decided on this book. My husband and i read it before we showed him. Then my husband went over a few basics with my son. There are some things in the book we don't need to worry about for a while like facial hair a... Review:This is not easy reading. I sometimes couldn't read more than 3 to 5 pages at a time, but it was well worth the effort I put into understanding and appreciating this book. It is probably as good for a modern day person approaching meditation and contemplative prayer as St Theresa's Interior Castle was for her day. Read more
Review:A highly engaging and informative read, _Why We Make Mistakes_ provides insight into our most common goofs. It turns out that the very traits that maximize our thinking processes and sense of efficacy--such as searching for meaning, making connections, seeing the big picture, and having an (overly) optimistic view of our abilities--are also the culprits behind many of our mistakes. Review:Great book for endurance training, however, it falls short when it comes to dietary advice. For example, the following quote comes from the book:
"About 40 percent or more of the carbohydrates you eat is converted to fat and stored as body fat."
Excess Starch Does Not Turn to Body Fat
A widely held belief is that the sugars in starches are readily converted into fat and then stored unattractively in the abdomen, hips, and buttock. Incorrect! And there is no disagreement about t... Read more

Review:The year that this charming and very informative book was being written, I had the pleasure of being called upon by the author, Melissa Sweet to lend some assistance and historical data on Tong Sarg, and the legendary Macy balloons. Having based years of archiving the history of Sarg and the balloons, as well as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade- together, we explored the fascinating history of the man know as "Macy's Mister Everything." Sarg's original association with RH Macy & Co. began ... Read more
Review:They Really dont want you to read this book. Application of this book to your personal life will give you the key to open doors. The mind is very powerful. Khaled used his mind to drive him to never fail to push his talents inside those doors. I look at it as the "key" was in the slot but he bust the door down at times and it works because "they" didnt want him in. #Majorkey Read more

Review:Hegemony or Survival continues Noam Chomsky's critique of post-WWII American foreign policy, and puts recent developments squarely in the context of the evidence for American policymakers' willingness to risk the human race's survival in their quest for global hegemony. In the book, Professor Chomsky takes us on a guided tour of various hot spots around the world which he identifies as generating undisputed facts about which, due to the distortions of American politicians and media pundits, our...
