Review:Heartbreakingly good. I am so attached to these characters at this point. Seanan McGuire excels at writing complicated relationships; at making immortals feel ancient, and making Faery both alien and familiar. Debts come due in this book, and some people ask too much. Read more
Review:The world of October Day may be fictional, but October and her friends live and breath, and so are capable of making us think and making us feel.
October has always been a crusader for justice and protector of children. But as this series evolves she has moved from disenfranchised and broken-hearted to empowered.
A meeting of the Faye is called to discuss the cure for elf shot, which causes pure blood Faye to sleep for 100 years. In those with some human blood it brings death. A cu... Read more
Review:People who read Candy Boys probably hoped (like I did) that there'd be more, and luckily Jo Raven delivers. I absolutely loved this epilogue, and even though it was supposed to be a novella and turned into a short novel, I still wish it wouldn't have ended so soon. I like seeing how all three overcome their fears and figure they deal with it head on instead of hiding any longer. So sweet and so hot. Absolutely loved it. Read more
Review:Won a copy during a contest. Writing review voluntarily.
Dirty Princes is book three in the Candy series. I have to admit that I didn't read the previous books but didn't feel as if it prevented me from enjoying this book. The book is quirky and naive but still holds deeper meaning with the characters. Without giving away any spoilers; the pasts of Brylee, Ryan and Riddick are the factors that give the threesome some issues in having a relationship.
Kudos to Jo Raven for writing a ... Read more
Review:I loved book one, but book two is rather difficult to get through. The alternating character development stories are interesting in a manner, only one character is truly interesting. That said, not a horrible read, just rather boring and repetitive and almost predicable, at least for one of the characters. I wrote this to not give away any points of the story because I do believe you should read it and generate your own opinion. The book is not a waste of time or money. Read more
Review:The author presents the contents as being factual until the postscript in whihc she writes it is totally fiction. She seems to not be willing to start with the fictional comment and cause the reader to question the contents of the book.after it is read. Read more
Review:Diana Gabaldon rarely disappoints. She is an excellent story teller. I only gave it four stars because I wasn't really interested in that much detail about his "love life". Still, it was a good read and brought this interesting character to life. It built my anticipation for the next Outlander novel coming out in December. Can't wait for it. Read more
Review:I started reading and literally couldn't put it down. The story surprised me on many levels. I think that I was expecting a witty, lighthearted, supernatural, romantic romp in a more modern setting. While the characters are certainly witty when appropriate and there are definitely romance and the supernatural, the book turned out to be much more than the sum of its parts. The Sumage Solution, much to my surprise, is a cleverly crafted story about, among other things, what it means to be a fa... Read more

Review:An excellent read. I enjoy the short story format and Stephen King's writing style. I also enjoy the variety of characters and settings in the various stories of this book...and all of them keep me hooked. I think this book is better than King's later short stories collection called "Nightmares and Dreamscapes". Read more
