Review:Great book to understand how customer service improvement can be injected into your own company. From new hire to continuous training, putting the focus on employees relates directly to customer satisfaction. Read more
Review:While Balkan Ghosts certainly provides a lot of factual information for the reader, it ultimately fails to offer a creative assessment of the region, its troubles, and its future. One can learn much of the more macabre aspects of Balkan history by reading Kaplan's book, but not a real understanding of the "whys" behind the grisly detail. For example, while Kaplan often describes religious sites, personalities and historical events, he fails to analyze the critical role that religious fai... Read more
Review:I have vicariously hiked with Fozzie on several occasions and this is the journey I want to take in real life. I loved this and all of his books so far. I feel the sun on my face and the trail under my feet when reading this book and can't wait for the next adventure! Read more
Review:This gem belongs in the list of illuminating quest for freedom via expatriation. However, in this case the author has no sense of self importance and writes as a working stiff that decides to find what is at the end of the rainbow. Excellent very good read in the footsteps of Miller, Hemingway and all who found themselves in Paris Read more
Review:This is a terrific read! Colossal failure told in an entertaining, funny, laugh until you cry kind of way. As much as we are hopeful for smooth transitions as we move through life sometimes it just doesn't happen. Ellen brings you along on her very bumpy journey and it is hysterical. If you have ever wondered what it is like to live in a small town in Vermont this will give you a hint - absolutely hysterical! Read more
Review:Dave Berry shares his love for his adopted state in his own special style. His understated humor and view of life will have you laughing out loud as he skewers many icons while taking you on a fascinating tour of the Sunshine state. Read more
Review:Being someone that would love to be able to travel the world by foot, I enjoyed the story, and the purpose. Reading the honest feelings the author had in some of the locations made this book even more enjoyable for me. Read more
Review:Cussler just seems to get better and better as he goes along. I have read all of his books to date, most of them more than once, and am anxiously awaiting his new Isaac Bell book, "The Spy". I have yet to find one of his books I didn't enjoy thoroughly. My favorites are the Dirk Pitt and Kurt Austin books with the Oregon series a close second. So far the new Isaac Bell series is running neck and neck with the Oregon series. As I said earlier, I haven't found a Cussler novel I didn't like. Read more
Review:Filled with anecdotal evidence, this book is nothing more than a recount of people who decided to pursue their "calling" and found meaning through it. It is a poor attempt at teaching you that humans are programmed to work towards goals and that we find deep enjoyment in doing so. Anyone is better off reading Flow. Read more
Review:It is a good book, with many useful information. It contains also a very nice map of mahattan. The only problem for me is that it doesn't contain to many pictures. And it really would be useful if you could see how the described attractions looks. Among thousands of tall buildings sometimes it is not easy to say what you are looking at. Read more
