Review:The actual book may be great but the kindle version is very poorly organized. There was no overall Table of Contents with links in the beginning to help readers go to a region quickly. Instead, I need to check out the western region first then the SW region, no index to the mid-west, at 65% then you find an index for the eastern region. Whoever organized this book for kindle did a terrible job. Read more
Review:A very good investment for travelers, especially motorhomes , pickups pulling trailers, Was given a well used older version by a friend. Decided very to get the newer one. in a motor home i usually take time to plan out places to get off for fuel food ect. Truck stops for gas eats, use the book and maps and commercial truck gps navigator. The next exit, has names of different places such as restaurants you can always call ahead and ask how acessable they are. Read more
Review:One of my favorite books of 2017, Geekerella is something truly special. The story of Elle, who works in the Magic Pumpkin food truck, Geekerella is my first ever fangirl book - now I love fangirl books! Ashley Poston totally schooled me in the art of fandom, an art I've been curious about and didn't quite understand - I was born in the '80s!
Now, since I know what fangirling really is, I realize that I've been a fangirl all my life, of SO many different things. Because of my own intense ... Read more
Review:Excellent assist for me as a new birder following a guided trip to Costa Rica. Our guide and a friend used it to narrow choices as we viewed birds. I've been using it to familiarize myself with the birds I saw and photographed while there. Read more
Review:Fasten your seatbelt because once you start reading Dave Eggers’ book titled, The Monk of Mokha, you will not want to stop. Eggers introduces us to Mokhtar Alkhanshali, a young Yemeni American whose journey through life changes dramatically after he finds passion about coffee from Yemen. Mokhtar knew nothing about coffee from Yemen when he drifted into this passion, and once he learned all he could, he hustled and bargained and found every way possible to bring the fine coffee from Yemen to the ... Review:The greatest positive about this book is that it moves...and moves well. The greatest negative is its blood and gore. That is problem for me, and I understand that. Characters were well drawn, although I did get mixed a lot with the two Isrealis.
I also read "The English Girl" and liked it better. Think I will take a rest from Silva! Read more
Review:This book is great for gamers, dreamers, fantasy-lovers, young folks, old folks-- anybody who's wants to turn their life around. If you want to take your life back, this book helps reverse stigmatizing mindsets that keep us in an office job for more hours than we can handle. It is relatable, conversational, an easy but sophisticated read. I read a self help book every week and this is my favorite by far! Read more
Review:I liked this book. Why? Because Louis L'Amour liked to read in the same way that I like to read. Just whatever caught his attention at the moment, or even whatever was available to read wherever he was at any time. No program or agenda. And he had the same motives as I do- he simply wanted to engage in the human experience, to learn more about people: our history, our psychology, what we do and why. He wasn't a very sophisticated guy. He doesn't analyze any one writer for much more than a... Read more
Review:A classic from my childhood first experienced through the Disney movie. This was quite a bit different yet all the better for it. I recommend to both the science fiction fan and the lover of history. Written about 1873 it's amazing how much things haven't changed in travel and in people. Read more
Review:A fast-paced and funny book filled with British wit. I laughed out loud several times. I felt like I knew all of the characters by the end of the story. I also read and recommend the follow-up book, Even More Ketchup Than Salsa. A great summer read. Read more
