Supernatural
Review:Awesome read, hard to pull myself away! I appreciate the depth of the characters and love that it's not all about sex between non - humans, it's about accepting who you are and having others accept you as well. Fighting for change, for better than the status quo. Read more
Review:So this story was really pretty dark on the whole. I do love a story where the protagonist has to face questioning their own morality and this has it in spades. It's well written, with great flow and a very different world than I've seen before, rather a twist on fallen angels and magic. This book had plenty of action, some amazingly steamy scenes considering the lack of "action" (which is always impressive in my book and makes me look forward to later books), a great plot, and an optimistic end... Review:"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal." -- Matthew 6:19
I loved reading this book and stayed up until 3:30 a.m. to finish it.
No one does the crime story from the criminal's perspective better than Elmore Leonard. Place one of his plots anywhere in La-La land as occurs in Road Dogs and the pleasure just increases.
Road Dogs combines great character development with a wonderful psychological tensi... Read more
Review:Read this book, despite the next line of my review! This book was not the greatest, but not bad at all. Like others, I had a problem with the sisters not immediately trying to find the guy with the seal. But, don't let this stop you from reading this series, which just get's better and better. Think of this book as the introduction, as this is where you are getting to know the family and meet some of the characters that will mean much more in later books. Just see the reviews for the rest of the... Read more
Review:Yasmine Galenorn's second entry in her Chintz 'n China Series is another fantastically fun read. It's a "pick you up by your bloomers and fly you along to the finish" kind of a tale; in other words, don't plan on getting much else done if you start this on a weekend! Emerald O'Brien is one of those rare literary characters that don't feel literary at all. She's real, her kids are real, her life is real, even her magic is real. Of course, pitted against an ancient Chinese curse that is far ou... Read more
Review:There are certain writers I always look forward to their next work. Mr. Straub has never disappointed me. This novel is much shorter then his pass efforts but this is due to the fact that it was exceptionally edited where not one word is wasted. The way the story shift viewpoints from character to character using both first and third person perspectives is very well done. The story line move shiftly and the conclusion ties up all the loose ends, as well as leaving us a little unsure of Mark ... Read more
Review:Creepy does not even begin to describe this book. I have seen the series too but reading this, we learn that some things are a bit different. The writing is excellent, at times thoughtful, at times funny, and extremely gripping. If you like well written scary stuff this is a great book. Read more
Review:(Borrowed through Kindle Unlimited) This series is excellent LitRPG adventure! The only problem I have is that the character records are too small on my Kindle Paperwhite. In any case, I really look forward to more books in this series after I finish #4. Read more
Review:I love Georgette Heyer's writing, and I think this is one of her best. Wonderful characters, a mystery, a romance or two.
Really enjoyed this book, there are always such interesting characters and personalities. Even if I guess 'who dunnit' which I did, I still love reading about the process. There are always complexities. Read more
