The Daylight War (The Demon Cycle, Book 3)
The Daylight War (The Demon Cycle, Book 3)

Review:I love this series.

If you like fantasy books (Lord of the Rings, The Wheel of Time, the Mistborn Trilogy, etc), I would strongly recommend reading this series. It has a very interesting (and different) system of magic, is well written and edited, and has a plot that kept me engaged throughout. I hate writing spoilers, so I will leave my comment at that.

I'm excited for the final two books in the series. Read more

Death Masks (The Dresden Files, Book 5)
Death Masks (The Dresden Files, Book 5)

Review:Great characters that hold their own. Fast paced action that's neither overly descriptive nor vague. Can see author evolve his writing style as well as the characters and macro story line. The best of the series yet. Cant wait to start the next episode. Read more

Books 1 through 4 (The Alastair Stone Chronicles)
Books 1 through 4 (The Alastair Stone Chronicles)

Review:This is one of my top ten writers, because this series of books are great. It took me a while to get through all of the books. The reason for that is because they were so intense. I had to read other books in between, and then I would start reading this one again. The characters were exciting and very interesting. The story line was extremely entertaining and enjoyable. Into the Fire: A Night Prince Novel
Into the Fire: A Night Prince Novel

Review:This is my favorite series by her. It was fun and I love me some Ian but I was disappointed that there was no growth for Leila. It's the last book yet she doesn't come close to resolving anything with her family. Just kept stuffing everything and tabling it for later. If anything I think Vlad is starting to drag her down. It felt like Frost was rushing to end this and is passing off one of her cookie cutter books. Reminded me a lot of her earlier Cat & Bones books where the characters ... Read more

The Bite Before Christmas
The Bite Before Christmas

Review:In this book, there are two shorts. The first by Sands is fairly typical of her work. The plot is straightforward and the romance is cute. The second story is worth the price of admission. It's a short in Frost's Night Hintress series. Like the other Bones and Cat stories, it is fast paced, creative, and takes a few unexpected turns. If you have not read this series, this short will have you itching to start at the beginning. Read more

Grave Secret (Harper Connelly Mysteries, Book 4)
Grave Secret (Harper Connelly Mysteries, Book 4)

Review:I loved this book--I am a HUGE C. Harris fan, but I think Harper and Tolliver are great fun.

I think this book was by far the best in the series...I love the romance between Harper and Tolliver and hope that Harris keeps treating us to little glimpses into that part of their partnership.

Couldn't put this book down! Mystery lovers, with a penchant for supernatural overtones, this BOOK IS FOR YOU!!!! Read more

Dead to the World (Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood)
Dead to the World (Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood)

Review:Sookie continues to deal with vampires and their hunters, with weres and her troublesome brother, with deadly supernatural politics that mere humans shouldn't easily survive. But the one thing Sookie is, is a survivor. After the big explosion in the last book that took out many an immortal and powerful vamp, Sookie is back at home in Bon Temps, LA, working at Merlotte's Bar for her friend and boss, Sam, and worrying about nothing more than the double wedding of her friend Halleigh and Portia B... Sookie Stackhouse 8-copy Boxed Set (Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood)

Review:I loved these books. Could not put them down. I read the Twilight series first and really enjoyed them. Then I moved on to the Sookie Books and loved them even more. The content is more adult and I just love the action and characters. Totally addictive, HIGHLY RECOMEND! Read more

Definitely Dead (Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood - Book 6)
Definitely Dead (Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood - Book 6)

Review:The Sookie Stackhouse series does it again. In the sixth book in the series I notice a theme starting that I just try to push through. I know it's necessary to the story and other readers who may not have started the series from the beginning but for me going over everything again and again is just getting tedious. It still hasn't stopped me from picking up book 7 and probably more after that.

Sookie starts dating Quinn the Were tiger from the previous novel. She goes to New Orleans to cl... Read more

All Together Dead (Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood)
All Together Dead (Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood)

Review:The seventh book in the Southern Vampire Series finds our Sookie attending the Mid West Vampire Conference with the queen of Louisiana and her entourage. Sookie's been hired to use her telepathic abilities to aid the queen, but Sookie's also hoping to spend some time with her weretiger boyfriend, Quinn. This being Sookie Stackhouse we're discussing, naturally things don't go as planned and Sookie soon finds herself facing murders, trials, and bombings. In addition, Sookie's fending off Eric t...
