Review:Merciless is a hard book to review.
I Really liked some aspects of it, but there are others that I just didn’t care for.

First I want to say I was initially drawn in by the looks of the book. I mean this is a hot pink hardcover and it is absolutely stunning. I love that there is no dust jacket and that it has this awesome canvas feel. The only thing that really gets me is the actual cover. Review:It became so clear that Lisa Maxwell is a skilled writer. She wove a tremendous story with plenty of twists to keep me turning the pages. She made me care about what happened to the characters, leaped through the time continuum, and provided a bit of humor along the way. The ending didn't surprise me, but it was fulfilling nonetheless. Review:3.5 Stars, but rounding down because the story wound down the further it went.

It's the story of an orphan boy who gets selected to replace the missing heir of a kingdom's royal family. The scope of the story covers the boys training and competition with two other boys, also selected as possible princes.

Review:I've always been a fan of psychological books, and this one has got to be one of my all time favorite YA books that fall under that category. There's just something about unreliable narrators that I really love.

Alex and Miles and everyone else were such likeable characters, and she definitely grew and changed as the story progressed.

Review:Such a beautiful story. You will not regret picking up this book. There's so many laughs and tears. For me, this story was a small part of my past in two ways. It's just so beautiful and reminds you that life is good even if at times it might not seem like it and that we need to be aware of others who might be suffering, lend a hand or ear to listen, do something rather than later regretting you didn't.
