Review:This is an enjoyable collection that contains the first three books in the series. All three books are well written and enjoyable reads. I would definitely read them in order.

Review:Given the rave reviews and comparisons to Catcher in the Rye, I expected to love this book. However, I had trouble getting into the book and didn't find the story line particularly compelling. I still look forward to seeing the movie to see what my impressions are. Read more

Review:I really dislike these people who sold this book to me. First of all, I got the book from them that was promised as new and it had a huge red mark on it. And second of all, it took a very long time to ship and by the time it did I already had to go out and read it for a book report. Would rate zero stars if it were possible. Read more

Review:I love The Cardturner simply because it is like no other YA book out there. It manages to tell a great story, spur thoughts about philosophy and religion, and teach me the basics of bridge. Few storytellers are capable of doing this well, but Louis Sachar certainly is one of those.

Review:This is a wonderful story about a family that had unconditional love, most of the time, for each other. The title fits this story perfectly! Enjoyed how the author developed the characters making me feel as if I knew them, I felt their pain & their joy! This story did bring me to tears toward the end. A little too wordy & descriptive in places, also the proof reader missed a lot.. Very upset with Olivia telling Sarah’s secret and never apologizing! Still highly recommend reading ??.... Read more
Review:I cried during the first three chapters nonstop. It's an amazing story of a girl struggling to accept that she can be loved. You MUST read this. Seriously. And have a box of tissue with you while you do. Read more

Review:Neal Shusterman really has a knack for writing Young Adult books that resonate with a much wider audience. I started reading "Bruiser" thinking I knew what the plot was going to be - I was WRONG. I hadn't read any of the promo materials and so had no idea and am glad that it happened that way. I was able to enjoy the twists and turns of the story because of that.
I really enjoyed that the book was written in four voices and that one of the voices was done totally in poetry. Shusterman... Read more
