Review:"Orbiting Jupiter", by Gary D. Schmidt is a heart-wrenching story of a young man trying to find his way in an unkind world of abuse, teenage love, foster care, and against all odds. So masterfully written I couldn't put it down.
I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway. Read more

This book took me through a whole spectrum of emotions. As I told Christina, I liked it, then loved it, then hated it....then ended up liking it but having some serious reservations. I can't be completely candid without spoiling it horribly, but I'll try to give my general impression. On the positive side, this book gripped me. Once I got past the early part, I found myself really intrigued by the mysteries in the story. The special "glow" power, the mysterious strang... Read more
Review:This author I recently discovered and man I did a few of her books on audio and i freaking loved it. So she became another author that is an automatic one click for me.
And this one was another awesome read.

Review:An intense and lovely second chance romance, I completely fell for Jude and Veronica’s (Ronnie) story. Veronica has scars inside and out, and Jude is has scars of his own. Jude and Ronnie had an instant attraction which led to her avoiding her professor's class thereafter. Jude has his own reasons. A fantastic beginning, this gives great tension and let's us see where they both are. It's a great read and it's wonderful getting to know the characters and some other pieces in the undertones. This ... Read more
Review:The Haunting of Sunshine Girl is what I would call a fluffy horror book. Aimed at younger readers, it would be the perfect balance of horror and humour.
I love creepy books that will scare me, and while I didn’t find this one to be particularly creepy, there were a few moments that surprised me, with paranormal twists that I didn’t expect. Going into Sunshine Girl, I knew it was going to be about a girl at a haunted house, but the luisearches who banish ghosts made it really unique.

Review:Waiver/Potential Spoiler Alert: I am the only person I know who did NOT gush over the "brilliance" of "When We Were Liars." So when I saw that comparisons were being made, I pretty much had the ending before I read the first page. So why, then, did I purchase it? Because Lauren Oliver wrote it. I knew her writing would be well-crafted without being so deliberately stylistic. I knew her characters would be likable. I thought all this would make it better--but it didn't. A plot twist is al... Review:Jellicoe Road contains some riveting characters, and a plot that holds merit, but it becomes so disjointed at times, that it becomes monotonous. It's a fun read, just regrettable that the ending doesn't pack a bigger punch due to the plot tapering off slowly much earlier. Read more
Review:The False Prince is an engaging book. Well written and edited. It was a quick read. The main character is likeable, as are most of the supporting characters. There is a little violence in it (not graphic) so may not be appropriate for those under 10. Other than that, it is a clean book and I will read the whole trilogy. Read more
Review:This book was sweet. I understood how Caymen felt about Xander being rich and her being poor she didn't feel like she fit in, and I could relate to her not wanting to disappoint her mom. Really nice book, I'd recommend it for teens that like romance. Read more
