Under the Lights (Field Party)
Under the Lights (Field Party)

Review:Now every one of my friends and family members know my obsession with Abbi glines, in fact I've gotten quite a few of them addicted too. Her writing for me is as stimulating as that first cup of coffee in the morning.
It heightens your emotions and awakens your senses.
I love it when a book has you so emotionally invested you don't want to put it down, and if you have to you end up having withdrawals and craving to be alone with it again.
Under The Lights for me was so heartbreaking an... Read more

Until Friday Night (Field Party)
Until Friday Night (Field Party)

Review:Loved the book, it was angsty and melodramatic, perfectly as teenagers are. West was facing his father's imminent death from cancer and was taking it out on everyone around. But Maggie had had it worse than him, she had watched her father kill her mother. So in sharing their bad experiences, West found strength to face his tragedy and Maggie healed from hers. It was a lovely story of two teenagers growing up thru despair, finding solace and love and consideration in each other.

The second... Read more

Finding Audrey
Finding Audrey

Review:This was a significant departure from Kinsella's usual work, and I didn't love it. The overall plot, pace, and characters were okay, but I had some significant complaints as I read. Nothing irritates me more than a book that plays up a dramatic event but never actually says what happened. Kinsella's understanding of psychopathology is also severely lacking. I'll give this 4 stars because I'm a huge fan of this author; otherwise, it would have been a 3-star book for me. Read more

Thirteenth Child (Frontier Magic Book 1)

Review:As always Patricia C Wrede has written a book that is stimulating on all levels. She has such an uncanny knack for writing things that are both exciting, fantastical and humourous. She has taken two worlds that aren't normally connected and seamlessly worked them together. Her sense of character development and dialogue style make me read every book by her that I can get my hands on and this one is certainly among the exceptional of her work. I settled down for an entertaining, yet intellectuall... Read more

Second Chance Summer
Second Chance Summer

Review:So, I picked this up only vaguely knowing the premise -- teens and summer, sick dad and family bonding -- and assuming I knew where it would go. I expected a fun read, a bit of an emotional roller coaster, but a happy ending.

Nope.

It was still a fun read, mostly because of the setting. I spent the whole book with a distinct longing to pack my bags and hike up to the mountains for some summer fun. The Edwards family was great, too, especially by the end. I really loved following th... Read more

We'll Always Have Summer (The Summer I Turned Pretty)
We'll Always Have Summer (The Summer I Turned Pretty)

Review:While I, mostly, enjoyed reading the series I found the writing to be somewhat inconsistent. It felt like the author was writing one, or more, books at the same time. Two instances, in particular, stand out. One where she says Jeremy is interning at his father's company, but in another book he was a banker. The second one was so obvious, I question whether it was the same author. In the first chapter of the first book Belly says her brother Steven taught her to whistle really well and how pro... Review:Reviewed by Nyx @ unraveling-words.blogspot.com

This book was actually kinda surprising. I wasn't expecting it to be so dark. This book was more about the sister's relationship than the whole psychic thing. That's not to say the psychic part was bad or anything. It was well done and I hope to see more development on that front, but the real selling point was the dynamic between the sisters.

I usually don't like when authors decide to go back and forth in time, plus in this case she... Read more

Review:It's Patterson never disappoints come on doesn't need my measly comments my number one author in every genre even me and My children read the stories written by for children together. I also thoroughly enjoyed his sentimental individual stand alone books as much as his series lines, lastly his true life story that stands out to me the most was great heather jearker that he wrote with guidance and personal experience of child life long struggle of a child with terets syndrome.
