Review:This is a great book, it brings back fond childhood memories! This miniature version has a little ribbon loop for hanging on the Christmas tree and makes a great gift for other Cajuns or the people who love them! Read more
Review:The rhyme in "Olaf's Night Before Christmas" is as you might expect, Clement C. Moore's story poem with "Frozen" references added. What bumped my rating from two stars to one star was that I could find no credit given in the book to Moore, the author of "A Visit from St. Nicholas". The "author" of the Olaf version just changed out a few words.
First the good news, the cover has first rate feel and appearance. The pages are well illustrated, but on all four of the books I inspected the ... Read more
Review:Natasha Wing usually captures the excitement and fun of each holiday that a child experiences, however this poor book is riddled with anxiety on each page. I wish she would re-write this book to capture the true magic and fun of Christmas that is known by children, we don't need a children's book that focuses on adult related worries that may go along with holiday shopping and planning. Review:I purchased this book to go along with the leprechaun traps I was planning on making with my 6 year old. This book worked exactly as I had hoped it would, before the story was even over he asked if we could make our own traps. Very well written, super cute (it even got a couple of chuckles out of my husband) Definitely going to become a tradition of ours Read more
Review:Disappointed in the story and function. We love Little Blue Truck and hoped this Christmas story would be another household favorite. The story line is much simpler than the original book (not attention keeping) focuses on counting (which I was looking forward to) and the twinkle lights only worked the first 3 times we read the book. Haven't gotten them to turn on again since. Me and my 2 year old are unimpressed. Read more
Review:I expected a much better story line from a Little Blue Truck book. It is okay, still cute pictures and my son thinks it's alright. I love most of the other Little Blue Truck books and was disappointed in the creativity when I read this one. Read more
Review:I bought this for my sister who got pregnant when our mother had lung cancer. We were hoping our mom would make it until her new grandchild was born but just in case we had Mom sign the book while she was still able to. I believe it is the dad's mother who is "telling" it but we just switched gender references. Our mother passed away before she could see her new grandson but this book is a great way to keep her memory alive. Very hard for my sister to read it to her son without crying though... Read more
Review:Excellent book. My toddler son loves all of the Pout-Pout fish paperback books. I also really like reading them to him because they are written in a sing-songy way that makes it fun and easy to read over and over and over and over and over ... if you have a toddler you know what I'm talking about. Review:This is another book recommended by a friend who read it to his infant daughter. I bought it for a friend whose baby is just about a year old and OH BOY!!! WAS THIS ONE A HIT!!! N. loves, loves, loves this book, and all of the animals are depicted in loving hugs, very sweet and special. Go for this one.. Read more
Review:This precious book is both illustrated beautifully and attractively. My 18 month old loves to look at the pictures of the "baby" on each page. She picks out the eyes, nose, mouth and the various objects from nature (flowers, etc.). The message this book tells about God is realistic and very loving. I wish I had this book for my older child!
