Review:The book is good but you really need to remember some words that he talks about cause then you have to keep going back to reread what that word meant. They were latin words. I would much prefer just reading English. The book and content is good but really Richard Carlson is much easier reading. Read more
Review:This book probably wouldn't have been published if the author didn't have a famous dad. It is an alright book, but I picked it up thinking it was the elder Don Miguel Ruiz-- but quickly found that it was not. If you buy, you should know that this is a book from Don Miguel Ruiz JR. Read more
Review:I shared these with the ladies at our local Crossfit box to encourage their daily activities. It is small enough to keep in your purse, in your car, or wherever you might be able to grab it for a little encouragement. Read more
Review:Basically a repeat of everything I've read on the blog, at least in message. I don't read his blog often either. Less arrogant than other minimalists although he has a religious bent that may be bother some. Read his blog first, or any blogger/author to see if their style appeals to you, or check your library. I found I remove this book from my house with no trouble at all. Read more
Review:Very good book regarding the principal religious philosophies in the world today. Although the author has an admitted theosophic viewpoint, it does not often or significantly affect his writing. Perhaps the best aspect of this book is the structured methodical analytic model which the author uses in examining each world view. The model examines each on the basis of eight criteria. Such a methodology, assuming relevant criteria are chosen (and they appear to be here), gives the analysis a muc... Read more
Review:Good read but the chapters do not flow like I would have expected - could have done with better editing in parts, often things were explained again although the topic was introduced and explained earlier, just broke the experience. Well worth it though - I am a little OCD. Read more
Review:Received this book as an ARC for my honest review.
The book shows of the horrors that Krystyna went through during the time the Jews started to get executed and shunned. The book is sometimes hard to follow and repeats itself quite a bit. I did enjoy the pictures that were in it as you got to see the progression of Krystyna when she was little. She seemed to have been very spoiled even when all of the bad things were happening. When she would talk about them there really didn't feel to be ... Read more
Review:When I bought the book I expected some new stories but it turned out to be recycled content, just the manuscripts of previous Lore podcast episodes. Don't get me wrong, I'm in love with all things Lore but I was a little disappointed. That's why it's getting 4 stars instead of 5 Read more
Review:Most of the content was nonsensical babbling that had nothing to do with the sketchy storyline. It was like hearing about a bad acid trip that made no sense. I tried really hard to read the whole thing (I pride myself on finishing books I start) but I just couldn't bring myself to finish reading this nonsense. Read more
Review:A story of horror for a girl growing up mistreated and sexually abused, you feel her pain was eagerly reading to find out her fate. I am very happy she found her way, and peace. Unfortunately for he was nd of the book was a great big smack in the face advertisement for God, As a n atheist this bummed me out, I an happy that people get comfort from religion, but you can overcome anything w without calling on "God', so 3 stars as she's happy but has not resolved real life Read more
